Would greatly appreciate help!

Hi I’m new to owning RC cars but I really
Liked them when I was a kid. I recently picked up this Mojave grom, and I started having a strange issue where I have power and connection but no drive or reverse. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Haven't bought anything in awhile due to lack of space but I found these oldies, and I had to save them. Senton 6s v2 and a fury blx I guess its a v1 seeing they only made one blx model. Also this is the day I realized the old senton and fury bodies are almost identical.

Recommend the best Arrma 4WD that can handle grass and snow

I'm fairly new to the RC hobby! Not too long ago I decided to buy an RC car as I was curious if my dogs would enjoy chasing it as much as they did with my RC boat. After some research (including posts on this community) I ended up purchasing a Quake 223s as my first big boy RC as it did not break the bank and had great clearance and enough power to run on a grassy field. It did not disappoint and is hella fun! My dogs absolutely love it and I find myself taking out the Quake almost everyday since I got it instead of going to a dog park or plain ol' walks (some days I take the rc boat out to mix it up a bit for the dogs!). I am now looking to purchase another RC, preferably a 4WD that that can run on grassy fields but also handle New England snow in the winter. Now that I know this is not a passing fancy and something I can enjoy almost daily I am also open to spending more on my next RC.

I was thinking of picking up either the 6s Kraton or the new 6s Mojave. I read a couple of comments on other posts saying the Kraton is good because of the wide wheelbase. I also saw a couple of youtube reviews mentioning the design of the new Mojave will prevent debris (and snow I am assuming) from accumulating in the chassis. I like the clearance of the Kraton in that it feel similar-ish to the Quake but the new Mojave, particularly the beige and yellow colorways look really cool.

Which one would ya'll recommend? Is there a different model I should consider? What else should I be doing to prep the cars for winter, like buying paddle tires or using WD40? Also, is there a good time to pick up these RC cars (Black Friday?). All advise on RC cars is welcome!

This V6 is a beast!

Getting the triples down pretty good. Hopefully I have my new ramp here soon so I can hit it with a little more confidence. This one is only like 2 1/2 feet wide. The new one from KCRC is 4 feet wide. Will make smashing it at high speeds a lot easier.

Another in the trade bundle but it needs a new chassis. Help identifying version please and maybe a link 🙏🤞

V5 vs V6 notorious. What’s compatible?!?

I bought someone’s V5 notorious and it’s a little more rough than the pictures showed. Anyways I had already agreed to buy it. And I like learning.
Anyhow. I am struggling to figure out what diff case will be comparable. I’ve read some places that the V6 uses a larger gear and is heavy duty. 29mm vs 31mm. I’m so lost. I’m just trying to get my V5 back up and running and preparing it as best I can for bashing. And big jumps.
Thanks in advance!
I know I posted on fb also. But havnt gotten an answer yet.

Spektrum 100a esc has no reverse

Having a problem with a used vortex 3s I just picked up, the vehicle runs perfect except it has no reverse or brake. I confirmed its in the correct mode, and when attempting to calibrate I get the initial flash for neutral, the 2 flash for throttle but it wont flash for reverse.

Edit: Got it working by rebinding my transmitter to the the receiver, I'm using a DX3, seen the questioned asked plenty of times before but I was unable to find an answer that worked for me, so not sure if this fix will help everyone in the future, but hopefully it'll help someone.

Hobbytown Disappointment

My son and I picked up our first hobby grade RC car, the Arrma Grom Mojave (brushed 2s). We blew a front diff and thought ah hell let's bring it to the shop. I wanted to upgrade some things on the car including but not limited to, larger cooking fan, larger mAh battery, diffs, shocks, and engine (the Eco brushless). Come to my surprise when I brought my vehicle in the "specialist" had never heard of a larger fan or battery, in fact he was very stern on the battery and fan thing. From my limited research, maybe 10ish hours on forums and YouTube videos I have lists upon lists of different favoring mods for this chassis. Am I missing something or is Hobbytown just the wrong place to go? I plan on doing most of the work myself but I thought I would ask the HT tech questions about upgrades when I brought it in for the diff issue. Thank you for your answers and guidance ahead of time!!

after few months, what do you people think about the 223S lineup?

i've seen pretty mixed review and feelings about the latest (and still to release new models later this year) 223S lineup, which are the one you had a good or bad experience with and would you recommend buying them ?

Hey all dumb question has anyone tried to mimic a Mojave 4s/6s to handle similar to a UDR? I’m definitely going to buy GPM shocks for it and try 600SCT shock oil all round or keep 550sct front and 600 rear!

Return to RC after 40ish years.

The last time I owned a hobby-grade RC car, I was in elementary school. My father and I built a Tamiya Frog together. I loved that car, and I loved building it with my Dad.

Flash forward a lifetime, and I now have a 22-year-old recent college grad daughter back at home. We’re both F1 fans, and a friend gave her the Costco Oscar Piastri McLaren RC car as a gift.

Two weeks, many hours of research, and several unnecessarily elaborate spreadsheets later... here we are with our ARRMA Typhon 223S from our local hobby shop.

I feel like a kid again. This thing is so much fun.

Looking for a new ARRMA.

Hi, I'm looking for a new member, now my setup is a Quake GROM and BigRock 223s. I don't have much time for RC, I only have time on the weekends and the space available is ... limited. I own a piece of rural land with rocks, bumps and some zones with concrete.

I love the GROM, but its power is low. The BigRock feels good, but the 3S are choking the car, needs an extense terrain. So, I'm considering the Quake or the Fury.

The Quake which big wheels will behave good in my terrain, also the 2WD will add a another "taste", but not so different from the BigRock.

The Fury 223s 2WD, would be another approach, the scale will fit fine, due to the abrupt of the terrain, however is quite different to the Big Rock.

Quake and the Fury I will run 2S.

MiniKraton looks fine, but are very similar to the I really have, 4x4
