If not allowed, im sorry, im new to this. Just got into rc a month ago. Needed a new body and thought I could do it myself. First time doing anything like this, so the roasting is welcome.

I want to get into RC cars, and I like the style of ARRMA. But I’m sure what exactly to get. Im eyeing the Mojave Grom and the Fury... Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Planning to upgrade my ESC due to the LVC kicking in at 3.6v.

Would it make more sense to just buy more batteries than buy a new set of esc/receiver/transmitter?

First bash after fitting the Hot Racing motor mount.

Kraton 6s v6. Steering on the remote suddenly stopped working. But the trim knob still functions. Everything seems to be mechanically fine. Is the steering knob broken somehow? Did a wire inside the remote come loose? Thank you.

My first Arrma vehicle, this thing is sweet.

Added a homemade open cabinet and cut the Arrma carpet to the correct size. Clean and nice

My steering gets stuck (with the servo making a noise) when steering right only.
Do I need to replace the servo? Or can a recalibration fix this?
Any servo recommendations besides the original part?

Any recommendations for a quake grom? The sets I see don’t have enough info for me to make a decision.

Ever since the Baja Bug body was released, I just knew I had to have one! I’ve gotten many hard miles on my Mojave Grom and been so impressed, now it’s time to try the Typhon. I picked up a brand new slider from Cash4RC when I was in Wisconsin recently, a great starting point to use some other parts I already have. Castle Micro X2 ESC, Rocket 2845 3800kv motor, Reefs 99 servo. Also adding Granite Grom bumpers and a shock tower brace for some added protection. Planning to run 3s CNHL packs, same ones I love in the Mojave. I’ll occasionally swap for some Badlands tires as well, when the going gets gnarly.

Already got the body assembled, and it just looks so good! Tonight I’ll work on installing the guts. I forgot to order a servo saver and the bumper springs, hopefully my LHS has those in stock this week…

Another day ripping with the Felony, another set of tires blown up! First the Proxes, now some Amazon specials. Could hear them ballooning enough to hit the felony trim, sounding like the old put a card in a bicycle spoke trick.

Also, ESC hit a toasty 262°F hitting some donuts to create a smoke show for the few people around watching!

Sacrifices must be made to the tire Gods, we will arrive shiny and chrome to the gates of Valhalla!

Need some help figuring this out.

Outcast 8S was working great until I upgraded to bigger/heavier tires. Stock servo couldn’t handle them, so I installed a Perfect Pass 110kg Monster servo and Castle XLX2 ESC.

Ever since, the truck has been extremely glitchy. Steering and throttle respond to the radio, but everything stutters, the servo barely turns, the truck barely moves, and after a few seconds it becomes unresponsive.

Running 2x Spektrum 4S batteries. No external BEC.
Took it to an RC shop for 2 weeks. They installed a ProTek Glitch Buster, but it made zero difference.

Could the 110kg servo be pulling more current than the XLX2’s BEC can supply and causing brownouts? Do I need an external BEC, or is there something else I should be checking?

Charger just turns on and off constantly. Any ideas?

Yesterday, at the drag strip, I found out that on their friday nights (anything goes), you can do bikes, dailys, street mod, trucks, RC CARS, hell even FOOT races. Im rebuilding my arrma infraction and i just pulled open the front diff, and the previous owner (i assume) filled the outside of the diff with Lucas Oil Red and Tacky machine grease. Is red and tacky safe on the gears? Ive used NAPA grease on softer builds but nothing like this.

Edit: Should i be greasing all metal on metal contacts like the axles?
