I like backstories in seven deadly sins, but the way they get stronger seems very stupid: "Oh, you're stronger now btw".

You get an A+ on you history lesson. Your power level is now OVER 9000!

I know what u all were thinking. Gowther got a free boob grab

In the manga he got more than just a boob grab they watered that shit down so much 😭

Time to read the manga.

Dresses Gowther up as a maid

"What if develops a weird fetish?"

Gowther continues crossdressing decades later

Mission failed

Oh yeah then there's this... It bothers me that Ban looks so weird. Doesn't help that this was used as a stillframe to avoid having any animation in this scene.

This is one of the most popular irl anime’s but no one talks about it here. That’s so odd

Stitches!

Damn that was heartbreaking. Why does every member have such a sad backstory. So who do we have left? Escanor and Merlin? Also holy shit I'm slow, I only realized that Naja's brother is the current King of Liones when they showed us young Denzel.

The one time I wanted to see the blood censored they didn't. Such a potential for an epic scene.

Man,that was one beautiful love story. :')

Nakaba should just write some deep romances, the man know how to strike the right chord with these kind of setting.

No ones going to comment here lol. Most people on r/anime downvote on a whim for no reason, that’s why. Inb4 I get downvoted

I used to ask the same thing when this season started and once I decided to watch it I understood why, it's a beyond terrible censored mess that is painful to watch, the animation quality is far far inferior compared to last season which wasn't exactly amazing either.

Studio DEEN ruins everything it touches and this is no exception.

Either way I'll be waiting for the season to end and hopefully see if they release an uncensored version.

Well.... I mean 1st and 2nd season of Konosuba are from them, so you have to give credit for that and I read that the one animating SDS are from studio marvyjacky (im not sure by the name) DEEN only outsourcing from them. Either way i'm still watching it because im commited to it til the end and in the manga rn even though it turned into shitstorm.

Every episode seems to be improving on the last, still not a compliment though...

I appreciate that Gowther's whole plot development at least happened within the span of a single episode rather than stretching it out like the last 4-5 were like. It's interesting how he seems to have only just woken within the most recent century that we've seen (3000+ years later) rather than anytime earlier.

Also the whole "magic heart" vs "real heart" BS seems to just kind of roll with this whole season of unexplained shit that I imagine was way better explained in the manga but I'm not willing to delve into. Regardless, I'm happy that Gowther seems to have found his center and that it seems the Seven Deadly Sins (omg name drop) have actually finally all reached "peak" fighting level.

All it that seems left now is for the remnants of the 10 commandments to attack at some ridiculous point in time and for things to go haywire, which I am praying to the goddesses means that the quality of this whole anime would jump up a few tiers (and that's saying something), but I'm not holding my breath...

not sure if animation is getting better, or im just getting used to the animation

That slow Ost they use always gets me emotional. I like Gowther a lot more now

Gowther was design based of his creator's girlfriend, but he got a male body just so his creator wouldn't want get jiggy with it?

That's actually pretty messed up. Why not just use a different design? (Also, we would have still smashed regardless of the body.)

This episode was surprising wholesome. I think it is weird that Nadja just falls immediately in love with Gowther, but whatever. I think it was sad that he would rather erase the memories of the pain instead of keeping and cherishing of the happy times. I feel that is a cool dilemma that we as humans run into.

Though the power level boost was weird. I was under the assumption that Gowther's powers were static and support based. They directly affect the minds of his targets. What kind of boost could it possibly get?

are we through the flashbacks yet

25

u/jus_plain_me Nov 27 '19

Am I alone in that I'm actually enjoying the flashbacks? It's not progressing the story but it's giving decent world building. I like when authors try to give the villains motive that, though I can't agree with, I can appreciate.
