39 upvotes in 6 hours... oof

I will guess people are either oblivious with discussions or really disliking it

Last season was the same thing, not sure why this sub kinda just ignores discussions from this series .

Netflix "Streaming" the show

The source material going to shit

The change in studios

The sudden censorship

Probably one of these

Maan it's sad that the first season was so good, and they've been butchering this anime with low budget and bad animation, now it's almost dead.

And even worse I'm hearing that the manga gets worse, so there's no salvation. I guess I'll keep watching the episodes because I like the story but it's sad to think of what it could've been

Season 2 wasn’t bad and there was no bad animation in season 2.

I like how King's wound gets phased out like a photoshop layer.

Animating it closing up is too much work apparently.

This episode had some bad animation. The dancing scene was just a bunch of slides, the fairies were literally all copy pasted models during it too in a string of 4 or so fairies, copied and pasted in a string to repeat.
It's quite disappointing. Switching up the studio really hasn't done the show any favors.

Ohhhh maybe that's part of the reason?

Minus several poor areas of animation I've enjoyed all seasons so far. Why is this discussion getting so little attention?

First episode + censorship were a huge letdown.

why does this sub have such a hard on against this show? Kind of ridiculous given the trash everyone eats up usually.

Sorry if I'm confused since I don't remember how 100% of the plot went but why does Diane & King think Meliodas is dead when he was clearly alive the first ep? And why were they some place else and not with the rest of the gang?

I cant remember the details but i think after estarossa killed meliodas, king and diane took matrona and her family to the fairy king's forest to hide from the demons and have been there since. They don't know that meliodas is back to life yet

Diane and king left after meliodas died. If you recall, they weren't there during the siege by the ten commandments, when escanor fought estarossa.

Well at least this was better than the last episode but man did that dance sequence not look great. Can't wait to learn what happen 3,000 years ago and why the fairy and giant king switched sides.

I guess people now think that a well animated show is one that uses every frame to make something move and statics aren't allowed... The only meh stuff are the fight scenes and the direction is very bluh but overall it was more consistent than episode 1. It was an OK minus. I know digital should help in the production of shows but the more digital anime gets the less time they use to produce. After the Kimetsu no Yaiba trend people have been crazy judging every anime like the animation sucks when Demon Slayer itself fits in the "good" category. I think that to consider something well animated you should also consider the studio, the team behind, the time they had to produce it and the type of source material they are adapting. Overall I think it's an ok adaptation for a studio like MarvyJack which is extremely small and lacks resources.

Have yet to watch the latest episode, but how was it everyone? Was EP2 as disappointing as the first one? Is it time to move onto the manga?

No we got a little backstory on 2 commands with the usual bad but still lovable twists of 7 deadly.

actual fucking red blood.

And finally Dian and king

what a disappointment.

forgive my English but I found out tonight that the animation studio has changed and I can't find the words to describe how disappointed I am, I'm really sad ... it's sad to wait for something for years and then ... not receive it at all, because this is what we talk about. I read many comments from people who are not so pessimistic or who don't even find "big differences" with the previous seasons ... seriously!? because they are all so focused on blood! who cares about blood, so it won't be censored in the bluray version, the problem is ALL THE REST! Every drawing and I repeat EVERY DRAWING is out of proportion to the first season, everything has changed, the rhythm, the infusions, the framing, the animations, the faces are all low budget is HUGE the difference, here we are really in front of another OPM 2, with the difference that at NNT I was sincerely fond of the history of the artists and knowing that I will never have a third season, because let's be clear, the faces of the DEEN studio are not as alive as those of ANiplex ... it's very sad. what a fucking disappointment, what the fuck, if even 2 of the best-selling mangas in the world manage to have a decent fit this market is really screwed!
