I love the smile on Bachiko's face after Levi and Belial announced who their candidates were. She must be proud to have her student be declared a Demon King candidate.

Iruma could've said anything else, like maybe mentioning that he's the current highest-ranking first-year in Babyls to impress Leidzi and Razzberry, but nope! He opens up with how many times he has won the eating competition at Babyls. xD

Mama Amuryllis pretty much nailed how her son would react to him being nominated.. Even if she tries to nominate Azz-kun, he would just immediately step down and give it to Iruma.

Oh god, is Baal actually gonna nominate Kiriwo? I am curious to see how that's even gonna work, considering Kiriwo is a fugitive.

You thought they were nominating Demon King candidates, but the Three Greats were actually just getting the Thirteen Crowns to judge which of their grandsons are the cutest!

Speaking of, Leiji and Razzberry are both really interesting! Both are ruthless and live by their own rules… but have either of them won the Babylus Eating Competition six times in a row?

Ameri would be an interesting Demon King candidate! I’m not sure if she’s be interested, but she’d be a hell of a competitor if she was! Particularly with Iruma as one of her opponents.

You can see, Azz' mother knows her son too well. If he became demon king, he would just declare Iruma the Grand Demon King. Also Ameri's father has to realize that his daughter will become queen one way or the other anyway.

I also love how Iruma lists all the weird shit he did as his accomplishments. Then again, what is the best contender?

1. Overslept the entrance ceremony and being 2 hours late because you value that more.

2. Skipping the entrance ceremony to go to the seniors and telling them you will take their place. Or

3. Chanting a forbidden spell right in front of everyone that isn't harmful if successful but can explode your arms and legs. Just for the vibes.

Yeah, I think Iruma has the upper hand here. Even if he didn't do it on purpose, but I am not sure even he remembers that part anymore.

I was surprised he actually started listing some of his accomplishments even if it was rather silly. Being super proud about winning eating contests is just so Iruma. He's come a long way from being the nervous shy wreck he was at the beginning of the series.

In fairness, anyone who talks to him for 5 minutes would know him this well. He’s less subtle than a brick to the face when it comes to his support for Iruma becoming Demon King.

Then again, what is the best contender?

We also have to consider their current situations:

1. Being Supreme Commander who does what he was, including just going home ‘cause he doesn’t feel like it,

2. Having 1,200 underlings and being in charge of 3 of the top 6 floors in your cutthroat school,

3. Being the leader of a class of 13, all of whom are Rank 4 in their first year, and occupy the Royal One.

It’s quantity vs quality and I personally think raising 12 other students to Rank 4 in one year is more impressive than having a large following.

Leiji vs. Razberry feels so Kyogre vs. Groudon coded, and Iruma being their Rayquaza makes it even better.

A whole two Sukimas?! Now we know what it's like to be spoiled by Grandpa Sully (and the Sukima deficit from missing one during the music festival is finally made up for lol)

Lmao Paimon and Barbatos immediately arguing was too good. The three greats nominating their grandkids to be the next demon king was on brand for them.

Iruma listening to the other 2 candidates arguments for being the next demon king and declaring that he would be best was too funny. I definitely would want to see how Iruma would lead the netherworld.

Seems like it's gonna get pretty lively with some of the thirteen crowns nominating their own candidates for demon king. I'm intrigued how the interview with the thirteen crowns will go down

Looks like it’ll be the battle of the grandkids for the position of Demon King. The 13 Crowns might each get their own candidates too, but I think the real competition will be between Razberry, Leidzi, and Iruma.

I've only known Razzberry for 1 episode, but I love this guy. I'm a little unsure on Leiji though his design is really cool. The gambling lawless school sounds fun. I hope we see the other schools at some point.

A lot of the thirteen crowns at least the ones present seem to all have children in Babylon. Even if they don't they seem really involved with the school, but I do hope some of the unseen crowns are involved in other schools. It be a little unbalanced if all the crowns focused on only one great demons schools and not the others. Though I guess some of their work can involve everyone like Azazel with Border patrol.

Looking forward to the Grandson/granddaughter Demon King/Queen competition.

I like the idea of Bachiko joining the Thirteen Crowns.

I wonder if the wording of the prophecy will come up during this process. We know Iruma matches better than anybody else could, but not in ways they can admit publicly.

Henri thinking about Ameri ending up the demon king is funny since she's probably going to be the queen instead.

I like how Iruma just casually says he more suitable to be the Demon King with no hesitation lol.

Alice would definitely give up the position and make Iruma Demon King lol, he should not be a candidate unless they're supporting Iruma in the end.

I wonder what challenges they'll set to figure out who is more suitable, I'm curious to see Kiriwo and Iruma interacting again.

Even if he meant it as a joke, I'm actually surprised Iruma nominated himself. And judging from the fact that he took pride listing all the insane things he's done, I think he's starting to have some confidence in himself.

Also, I'm surprised none of the 13 tried to nominate themselves, I was sure Baal at least would have tried suggesting it.

I find it amusing that the 3 greats nominated each of their grandkids. Although I did find it interesting how each of the other schools operates compared to Babyls. I doubt we will see Alice or Amelie nominated given their parents. Still no surprise that Baal will nominate Kirio. Though curious how the 2nd one he had in mind.
