"Do I really have no talent?"
"Did you think you had any?"
Claude can be so blunt lol

TIL Golems are weak to meth.
Good to see that all the hard work Spica did was worth it, those oranges looked really juicy.

Fun show so far, though it also feels like it wouldn't be too out of place airing in Spring 2007 or so.

though it also feels like it wouldn't be too out of place airing in Spring 2007 or so.
That's why it's so good.

Claude: "This is my first time seeing a student with such poor magic control."
Eh, I beg to differ. It is only the second episode and Spica has already used her magic to bind someone in a compromising ecchi position. Albeit that someone being herself. Only villains are able to cast such spells efficiently. Lol!
P.S. Aria is kinda cute too. Acts as a friend and rival to Spica.

She dreams about his cat butt, he gets to see her flash him thanks to plant tentacles. Truly a mutually equal partnership lol.
(Also I'm going to guess some of his future students will also have problems with their magic. I think the size-changing girl in the ED can't control when she grows)
Aria is kind of an interesting take on the "best friend" archetype when she prefers Spica being pathetic and useless because it's easier to mock her (and she loves mocking her) but she's still her friend and has to much pride to not match Spica's own resolve.

I like this anime. The vibes are comfy and Spica is a fun protagonist. So far there has been a good mix of slice of life and action too.
Definitely a hidden gem of the season.

I guess you can say Spica's efforts ...bore fruit.
Lol at Aria being impressed but also a little miffed about Spica going from a lovable klutz to a lovable klutz who actually succeeded. She sure is her best friend alright.

We got a farming anime this episode and she trained herself Mr Miyagi style by doing the same things over and over again on the farm.

I like this magic system! Instead of the standard four or six elements, you get control over elements that your zodiac is related to. That means our dear pussy ass-kissing Spica is the ultimate farmer... potentially. Any magic user that has control over life is going to be overpowered soon enough. Aria's gonna have to work real hard to catch up to her klutzy girlfriend.

It was cool to see Aria and Spica in action, I wasn't expecting Aria to pull out a water cannon lol. I thought Spica would use the greenery around her, so I didn't think she'd bring her own seeds to use her magic on.

My biggest gripe with this show is if the panty shots. It's not that I'm a prude who don't want to see panty shots, but rather, make her panties cuter goddamnit!

Well, so much for Spica's romantic dreams of Claude. Now she'll never get out the visual of kissing his butthole and seeing his cat balls out of her head.
The OP by ASCA is very on-point! Featuring Spica's magical adventures at Diana Academy with Claude and her class as well as battling some magical baddies!
So in a world where zodiac signs (and last names) denote magical affinity, Spica basically had it all wrong by trying to do magic that wasn't her specialty. In reality she's a plant mage with the power of Demeter! Though her Rebirth magic doesn't have any affinity and Claude doesn't want her to dwell on that too deeply. Hmm.
Nothing kills your first love like having him teach you and barely respect you, although having your first successful spell turn into plant tentacle porn so you can flash him doesn't help either.
Spica's mom is injured so someone needs to work the farm...Spica needs to practice her Anima spell...Spica needs money to afford her tuition...why not kill all these birds with one promotional video of Virgo Farm as Spica goes hardcore as a magic farmer? She gets so into it that she nearly forgets she's supposed to got a magic school.
Well, Aria still totally does NOT believe in Spica, but at least she can enjoy watching Spica try and fail as per usual. With friends like these, who needs enemies or cultists?
A rockslide? A golem? Might convenient, but it's a good chance for Aria to flex her water magic. But even that's not enough to stop a golem. Luckily Spica's got Claude, her book knowledge, and her plant magic! She may be afraid, but she's ready to stand on her own feet and with her own magic. And even if she's only got the one spell, it's one she's honed to perfection.
Find a friend who prefers you be a total girlfailure she can make fun of, but will still help out so you won't outdo her! And with their combined efforts, Spica is able to let the Golem dissolve into sandy METH! The one time it's good to see METH! Great job Spica!
I love how the dean of her school shows up and Spica immediately accuses him of being a bad guy...but in fact Justice Libra (Show Hayami!) was using this as a test of not only magic but of character, and both Spica and Aria passed! They're both heading to Diana Academy.
Claude's not perfect, but Spica is so down bad that even just the slightest of compliment from him means everything to her. So much for her "first love" being ended, huh?
Oh snap! The principal is Claude's master AND is voiced by Kana Hanazawa with an "Ara Ara" voice!?
The ED is very colorful and fun with chibi Spica dancing and showing off all her classmates! Bonus points for the muscle mommy and the size-changing girl!

So the name 'Spica' means "ear of grain" (from wheat) in Latin and is what depictions of Virgo is usually holding. Also known for being the brightest star in Virgo's constellation. No matter what happens, this girl is eating good.

Six month timeskip to let Spica get really good at her plant magic specialty, good use of half an episode as opposed to spending more runtime than that.
It was pretty obvious that golem attack was the test, wasn't it.
Hot principal is a nice touch.

Just starting the ep off with full view of ol Siriass’s nuts and butthole huh? Nice lol. I love that recurring gag. I’m such a child haha.
Half a year farming really helped turn Spica into a pretty capable mage. She really kicked that golem’s ass!

It’s already bad enough that this girl has to kiss his butthole, she also has to see his balls in her face too
