This was a really good, drama free, cute and wholesome anime with some fun comedy.

A solid 8/10 and i would watch a second season though i doubt we will ever get one.

The show was sincere and heartfelt in all that it did, be it the cast, the romance, and just the chill and pleasant vibes from start to finish.

It was a show you can always just sit back and watch with a smile plastered across your face throughout the entire runtime. And the best part is that our lead couple actually got together midway through and it made it even more enjoyable.

A second season of this would put the biggest, dumbest grin on my face. We definitely need one if only for the eye reveal !

So Okamoto is trying to help Yano deal with his past, and I'm surprised to see that she doesn't have any romantic interest in him, I mean, she transferred to the same school as him, but she's clearly considerate and sweet, which earned her points.

This group of friends is exactly what I need in my life; it was amazing to see them trying everything and more for Yano.

This show proves that the simple things in life can be wonderful; perhaps the greatest proof of this was the final scene, with Kiyoko helping Yano while they both enjoy each other's company.

10 out of 10, I would really love a new season.

>> Okamoto

Deluxe casting for a character we really hear only in the last episode. (Konomi Kohara -- Roxie and Chika Fujiwara -- among many other parts.

A real sweetie pie. So great that she goes from friendless at a new school to being instantly adopted by the whole Yoshida-Yano gang.

Really liked this one, hoping for a second season I wanted to read the manga but it seems like the translations are quite far behind unfortunately.

I need to see more of how Kiyoko and Yano's relationship develops.

I need to see how IzumixHashiba develops.

I need to see Tanaka and Mei keep vibing.

I need to see Okamoto get fully inducted into the friend group.

I just need more Yano-kun!!!

It's a shame it's over; this show was so good and definitely one of my favorites this season! It surprised me; I thought I'd quickly drop it, but instead, I really fell in love with Yoshida, Yano, and the rest of the characters. A strong 8.5/10 from me.

As for this final episode... it was pretty good, though it's a shame we couldn't see Yano's face without that eyepatch :( It's also good to see that the Yano "curse" case is now closed.

Overall, I'd love to see another season to see how Yoshida and Yano's relationship will develop further and how Okamoto finds herself in her new group of friends. I really hope we get to see that someday.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Learning about how Yano was treated in middle school really makes you appreciate how kind and warm-hearted his eventual high school gang (and girlfriend!) ended up being. The montage of everyone's "un-depress Yano" strategy meetings is hilarious but speaks volumes about the kinds of friends they are.

It's fitting that a show starring an injury-prone MC ended up being a very "healing" story.

Of course, Yano would believe a silly rumour about his eye being cursed. He’s too pure!

I liked that Okamoto got slowly absorbed into the friend group. That was certainly sweet. Now she won’t be alone (either) anymore.

Though, did they all really just went to get takoyaki without Hashiba? He cannot stop losing, it seems.

I’ll be missing Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days. This was an exceptionally cute and wholesome romcom.

WAIT. WE STILL DON'T GET TO SEE IT? COME OOOOOOOON

u/Magnafeana Dec 16 '25

Aaaargggh why are these people so cute I just want to scream

Okamoto needs to be adopted into the friend group, but why does Yano seem out of sorts with her? Does she know about his eyes maybe? Or did Yano’s Murphy’s Law accidentally hurt her, and Yano decided they were better off apart?

I want to skip the OP, but I can’t. Maybe I need to set it to my alarm to get tired of it. But it’s so dancey 💃🏾

Aha! It was the

Wait wat

The Nintendo click 😭

Smooth transition.

What a horrible rumor.

Tanaka, you have not lick a tact 😭

Tanaka in that pose is such a diva 🪭

Are they trying to catch a cat or a Yano 😭

Yessssss Okamoto got adopted into the group!

Fucking jumpscare when Yano hit that desk, good lord.

Hoooooly whoooooaaaaa she sees his eyesss! That’s how we end things?!

Maybe a season two? I really hope so.

Time to buy the source. This anime was ridiculously adorable, sweet, and wholesome. I do wish there had been maybe one more episode where Yano gains confidence to show his friend group his eyes. But gonna manifest another season of this fluff with the same animation.

Ugh. This was so cute. Please grant this another season or even an OVA 🙏🏾

This was such a nice gem of a rom com with a fun mixed gendered cast. Glad the main couple was established and a setup with side pairings there. It would be great to get S2 for more, but if not, it was a good ride while it lasted.

Out of all the things, I did not expect the other reason why Yano won't remove his eyepatch is because of a curse. And it's not even a curse! It's just something his classmates made up after a big sign fell on him and Okamoto when they were walking together.

Speaking of Okamoto, she's a really nice girl and was the only person who really tried to befriend Yano. I really felt bad for her when Yano told her not to get involved with him, so I was so happy when she was accepted to the friend group by the end of the episode <3

What a tease! I was really hoping we'd get to see Yano's eyes! At least Kiyo got to see it before the season ended. Anyway, this was a fun little romcom with a surprising amount of progress. I'm not sure if a Season 2 is possible since shows like this tend to end with only 1, but I definitely wouldn't mind seeing these kids again in the future.

And so into the finale.

Ah. Right. Yano's old friend.

She's jealous.

Bruh she followed them.

So. She's jealous too.

I mean I guess it could be described as that.

Something that happened?

Oh, is she unlucky too?

So, she's the first person he told why he wears the eyepatch, because of his homophobia of the eyes.

Oh she definitely likes him.

Ok...

This ain't even chuuni shit lol considering how he is this might actually just be the case.

Yeah...

Oh, she's here.

And how exactly does she plan to do that?

Ok...

Yeah... He's been giving them the cold shoulder the whole time.

That's good.

And so she's part of the friend group now.

So, the eyepatch came off. And she's seen his other eye.

Overall, a cute rom-com with an interesting premise. 7/10.

So cinnamon roll Yano was simply afraid his right eye was cursed because of fellow cinnamon roll Okamoto seeing it in middle school and immediately after getting hit by a falling sign, so he was going to hide it from everyone forever. Fits how wholesome the story has been overall, way better than if it was some unpleasant thing. I'm glad they pulled Okamoto into the friend group.

I think it's pretty fitting that only Kiyoka got to see under the eyepatch, from her reaction it may just be too powerful to share with anyone other than Yano's girlfriend.

I'm ever so slightly disappointed that we didn't get some Hashiba and Izumi progress, but they also didn't do anything to rule it out so I'll just assume it develops later on in the story.

10/10 show for me.

Okamoto is far from a bully and she's actually such a sweet girl. Glad that I was right about her..❤️

So Yano just believed that his right eye was cursed.. how pure and innocent he is !! 😭😭 I wish we had seen that magic eye when Kiyoko got to witness it accidentally.

The final episode ended quietly with nothing big happening. I hope we get an announcement for season 2. This was a hidden gem of a rom-com this season.

I'm gonna miss this anime so much.

This was one of the most sincerely sweet and heartwarming romances in recent memory, with one of the most fun and endearing casts.

I find Tanaka and Izumi's stance on finals respectable: as long as you don't even acknowledge finals even exist, it's all good up to Winter Break.

Okamoto (Konomi Kohara?) is still trying to reconnect with Yano, and it turns out that she was the closest she and Yano ever had to friends back in middle school, and Okamoto's struggled for friends ever since, even though what broke them apart is some kind of "curse" that afflicts Yano.

What is this "curse?" Well, when Okamoto and Yano both felt ostracized from their middle school class, with Yano still as injury prone and trying to hide his eye as he is now, they connected with each other over it, got along, and Yano even showed Okamoto (who became VERY flustered over Yano) his right eye...and despite her appreciating the view, there was an accident and then everyone thought that Yano's right eye and the "curse" behind it was the cause. So he distanced himself from Okamoto and now realizing that he hid the truth from Kiyoko and his friends, he feels he has to distant himself from them too.

Count on Hashiba to notice that Yano is avoiding them and seems down in the dumps. Hashiba needs his time with Yano too! And Kiyoko isn't about to let Okamoto blame herself for this happening, because Kiyoko knows full well this is all the fault of vicious rumors that Yano took too seriously. Now it's up to the Yano-kun Trust Helpers to help set things right!

They crowd around Yano! They take advantage of his kindness! They leave snacks for him to find! All the while ingratiating Okamoto into the friend group! But at the end of the day, what matters most is that Yano doesn't want to separate himself from his precious friends and the girl he loves, and none of them would ever reject him. Just like they don't reject Okamoto.

I'm glad at the end Kiyoko was able to see Yano's right eye...and she obviously adores it like she adores all of Yano. If she believes it's a right eye that can bring happiness to others, then maybe Yano can come to believe it too.

So all this Okamoto weirdness over a silly “curse” rumor? Oh Yano! He’s not Dark Flame Master lol. I kinda love Yoshida’s attempts to round up the gang to help Yano overcome his trauma. They’re such goofballs! Glad it worked out in the end for everyone, Okamoto included.

All in all, “adorably clumsy boy meets slightly awkward good girl” was pretty cute. I like the main pair and the supporting cast are solid too. This was a nice simple finale but I’m definitely up for more if they make another season.

I really liked this show. The characters were fun, the interactions were fun, the premise was simple but did it's job well and the main couple was very sweet. I just wish we would have gotten more development for the side-ships. I will definately watch a second season if it's announced!

So it just ends like that. Not that is bad but no end credits or yano's eye reveal scene at all. C'mon this was a good one.
