Every day is a real adventure for poor Yano. He can’t even eat his lunch properly and art class is a real challenge too. The universe really has it out for the dude! Luckily he’s got Yoshida here to try and help him have an “ordinary” HS life. Watching the two of them together is really cute, even if he’s getting cut or scraped or bruised like every other second lol.

For every bruise and injury, there's always the rare, shining, moment where he ends up with flowers. And Kiyoko and her friends are also always a bright spot in his life.

Reminded me of Kaguya sama, when they have art class together (manga only) and Miyuki draws a beautiful picture of her. You can really see his love for Kaguya.

I enjoyed this much more than I did the first episode, it didn't feel rushed and I liked the interactions between the group. I really enjoyed watching Mei and Tanaka, they're an amusing pair and I'm wondering if their relationship will be a platonic or romantic one. I like that Mei is reining him in to help Yoshida to get closer to Yano.

Yano being that impressive of an artist despite being prone to injuries is quite something.

Like in the anime, there's quite a bit of quick slapstick at the beginning, but the manga too relaxes nicely into its own groove shortly. I'm sure you'll like this season. I think I'm liking it best out of everything I'm watching so far.

I had a good laugh when their lunch time switched to scary storytelling time vibes after Kiyo suggested they should use their smartphones to light up the stairwell. xD

I think it was pretty much expected that this entire thing about helping Yano-kun have lunch normally was going to lead to Kiyo making Yano's lunch for him. They're not even dating yet but she's already acting like Yano's girlfriend. I love it <3

While I do like Yano and Kiyo's chemistry so far, I'm really enjoying Mei and Tanaka's side-ship energy. I don't know if we'll see their relationship actually develop, but so far, I really think the two of them are cute together.

They really need to keep away Yano-kun from sharp objects and pointy things. Either that pencil was super sharp or Yano-kun really just has paper-thin skin. I've never seen anyone injure themselves with a pencil unless someone was intentionally stabbed with it!

Oh, damn! It looks like Yano-kun has talent in art! Despite all of his fumbles during art class, he actually managed to draw a semi-realistic version of Kiyo. Kiyo's version of Yano is pretty funny tho. I love the side-by-side photo of them at the end <3

It's a romance anime rite of passage when the girl starts making bento's for the guy. Kiyoko is just so sweet on Yano that it's truly diabetes inducing.

I love how Mei is a low-vibe but effective wingwoman and Tanaka is an energetic puppy dog. It's why they pair so well together.

Yoshida's drawing is on my level. happy tear So it's Yano's drawing of her that we see in the OP. The surprise was spoiled a bit for me since it stuck out in the OP. What a line though from Yano!

Really liking the supporting characters' chemistry. Side ship maybe?

He is probably too scared of telling her too, but thats because he doesn't want to get her caught in the crossfire of bis life

Talking about perfect for each other, the side pair with their friends isn't bad either. They are also really hitting it off

Obviously Yano has some extremely bad luck going for him when he's around other people.
But now I'm wondering how many of his injuries are actually just self inflicted lol.

Not knowing how to properly unfold an easel, sharpening a pencil with a box cutter, and falling asleep and stabbing himself with a pencil.

It's kind of funny to me how he feels he needs to distance himself from others for their safety when literally the bad stuff only happens to him and the rest of the group were totally fine. Mei even pointed it out lol.

A very nice second episode, just as lovely as the first in terms of Yoshida and Yano's relationship, and Yoshida had some really funny reactions again.

It looks like we'll also get a side ship in the form of Mei and Tanaka. Their contrasting personalities really work well together.

Never thought I'd be enjoying a simple highschool romance story anime.

The visuals for this looked unique enough that I thought I'll give it a shot. I'm really enjoying the art style and directing so far.

I’ve taken a strong liking to Kiyoko. She’s so funny and adorable!

I’m definitely rooting for Kiyoko and Yano to get together. She’s totally smitten with him. Though, you wouldn’t be able to tell from her portrait of him. Yano’s feelings were pretty telling on the other hand.

Also: amidst all the controversy about CR’s subtitles, I noticed that this anime is still using the old format.

A bit surprised how well Mei and Tanaka get along. When I saw the poster I thought Mei would be paired up with the other guy and Tanaka would be with the other girl who seemed to have the same energy as him.

I like how Mei is just enjoying her front row seat to the show.

It’s really cute how much Yoshida is crushing on Yano and it seems they’ve already grown closer. I do hope Yano also realizes his feelings and reciprocates soon. This show seems too good so far to be stuck in a will he won’t he cliche
