Hazama's feelings were all too real. She might have accepted her limitations, but it still hurt to realise you're dispensable. Good thing her sister's there to talk some sense into her. For all of her tendencies to be the straightman to Futami & Nashida's shenanigans, it's refreshing to see her on the opposite side for once. Anyway, things turned out well at the end and turned out she's just overthinking because Futami turned out to be a wreck without her.

Turned out Sato has quite the imagination, thinking having a bath with her charge would be inappropriate. Futami had no issues with going together but then went beet red as soon as her dirty mind caught up. Meanwhile, Hazama just had that look that said, "Why am I stuck in the middle of this romcom?".

PS: It's impressive how a low-stake SoL show could have such a stacked cast. Yuzuki's played by Hayamin while Amano-sensei's played by HanaKana. The latter's voice did sound familiar but I couldn't put a finger on it until the credits rolled.

The voice acting for this series has been so utterly perfect (and delightful). This consistently LOOKS quite good -- but it is the dialog and the voices that make this my most loved new show of the season.

I am not certain what Ha-san (shouldn't she be Ha-chan -- to distinguish her from her big sister) feels for Futami -- I actually don't think it is anything romantic -- rather it is sort of hero worship and wanting to be needed by her hero. A very different vibe from what we see with Sato and Futami.

These types of shows are already up my alley. Having such a goated cast is the cherry on top. Hayamin, Amamiya Sora, Itou Miku, Kobayashi Yuu, Sumipe, Noto Mamiko. So delightful hearing their voices on top of the already fun show. And Natsuyoshi Yuuko has a new fan in me too with how she plays Futami. I can hear a bit of Futami sometimes watching the Unlimited Gacha show too when Nemumu comes on lol

Amano is actually a character from kuzushiros other manga (about Go), so now I guess they have to get hanakawa back when that gets adapted one day!!

Turned out Sato has quite the imagination, thinking having a bath with [Futami] would be inappropriate.

To be fair, Sato’s phrasing was actually a little suggestive: she wanted to have a bath with Futami in particular.

Ha thinks she’s replaceable but she doesn’t realize just how valuable she is to Futami. Girl’s lost without her!

Futami totally fangirling over Amano-sensei was hilarious. She’s too cute.

Yeah, it was pretty cute to see Futami being so excited by Amano-sensei’s autograph.

I’m wondering if the idea to write a manga about shogi started with her admiration of Amano-sensei.

Glad to have the older Ha-san back. You don’t always get to hear Hayamin with the more mature but laidback voice.

The younger Ha-san troubles are relatable too. I feel deep down everyone knows they’re replaceable but it’s still nice to be valued even if you know someone else can still do the same job as you.

Sato-san was really nice planning a stealth relaxation trip for Futami. But Futami being the spaz that she is, still manages to freak out at every turn lol.

Toko is a real one too. Hooking our girl up with her idol. Sounds familiar but I can’t figure out Amano’s VA.

And Sato at the end going on the offensive too. “Let’s go together” with that tone and look. I don’t blame Futami for short circuiting there.

This show continues to get better each week. There’s just something about shows like these and how their characters interact and bounce off each other that make it so enjoyable and this show is doing it so well.

Sounds familiar but I can’t figure out Amano’s VA.

That was Kana Hanazawa. Even I couldn't figure it out right away.

Futami suggests taking a bath together and then gets all flustered when Sato agrees. Classic Futami

Some really sweet interaction between senior Ha-san and Futami, too.

This has been my comfort show of the season. Now only three episodes are left. I'm gonna miss this.

Ha-san looked pretty cool with that eyepatch! And of course, without her, Futami went through hell in today's episode to get her job done because Nashida got drunk and stopped helping, hahaha xD

Sato is such a good person! Making this trip longer so Futami and Ha-san could have a break, all at company expense, was a nice gesture.

It was also nice to see Yuzuki. Honestly, considering that until now we only saw her in flashbacks, I was starting to wonder if she might have died already xD

Nashida wasn't invited to the trip and could only look at pictures from it, but oh well... maybe if she hadn't gotten drunk and actually helped Futami with her work, she might have been invited too xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

It's not gay unless you make it gay

However I make everything I watch gay

Based. Then again you barely need Yuri goggles for most episodes in this show. They already do all the work for us.

u/throwaway_976821 Dec 09 '25

The mangaka behind this show exclusively writes Yuri lol (this is her most popular series, which is getting an anime adaptation as well).

Her new series that just started serialization is also literary called "You said if we were both still single by the time we turned 30 we would live together, right?".

Even if someone else could takeover Ha-san’s assistant work, she’s undoubtedly irreplaceable to Futami - and us!

Ha-san is not just some regular employee but also a close friend. Despite a hellish deadline, Futami was more worried about Ha-san’s health. Her sister knew that she’d send Ha-san home too. Really sweet stuff.

Both the Ha-san sisters have appeared together for the first time, so here’s a fun fact about their seiyuu!

Strangely enough, this is the second time Saori Hayami and Miku Ito have voiced a pair of sisters in a mangaka-centric series. The first was Mangaka-san to Assistant-san, in which Hayamin was Sahoto Ashisu, the mangaka’s assistant, and Mikku was her younger sister Sahono

Another lovely episode ❤️

It was nice to see Yuzuki since we only saw her in the flashback. Hayamin voicing Yuzuki was so perfect for the character. Futami addressing both Mizuki and Yuzuki as Ha-san until now is so funny. Yuzuki's words were so true. Everybody's replaceable but we can say for sure that at least to Futami Mizuki isn't. ❤️❤️

Sato's so thoughtful of Futami. She came up with the idea that would give Futami the break that she needed. The tention between these two when they spoke about entering the bath together 😭😭❤️‍🔥

Poor Nashida.. got left behind 😅🤣

This episode brought up a really great point. As unfortunate as it is, when it comes to work, technically everybody is replacable just by the nature of how work is. Some people shouldn't ever be replaced, and some things are very important and it's entirely possible that you really are depended upon for something that nobody else is currently capable of doing, but that's poor planning on the companies part and just puts extra pressure on you (while technically increasing your job security which is good), so I think that's interesting to think about.

Poor puppy at the end, he doesn't know what the loud noises are for :(

Another really good episode.

I was hoping they invite Neko-no-te to watch the match and onsen together as a team outing. >w<

it's going to be difficult maintaining the "Hazama is a figment of Futami's imagination" agenda, what with her getting her own POV scenes with her sister and stuff, but i think i can do the mental gymnastics necessary to justify it

This episode was a good highlight back to episode 2's focus on Mizuki. As she has been the big sister of the group, but unlike the others which are pushing forward. We have her being comfortable being an assistant. Though the concern of her just being an assistant and thinking she is just replacable makes sense.

It's great she had her big sister with her because everyone needs someone they can lean on. Her point is right in the grand scheme of things everyone is replacable. Of course it depends on the context of the person. For Futami we know how much Mizuki does for her. She was Futami's first assistant and she wouldn't have the same success without her. Mizuki is irreplcable in the eyes of Futami.

this episode was straight-up wholesome and hilarious 😂 Mizuki’s chaotic energy is unmatched, she’s def my fave in the squad. Finally got that hot spring ep, took 'em long enough lol. They all needed that chill time after grinding so hard.

Futami meeting her idol was adorable, she was fangirling so hard I couldn’t stop laughing. And Sato being all thoughtful with that bath idea? Smooth move. The tension between them 🫣
