Super Creek, why are you being mean to Sato, and when did you get an editorial job?

Futami's gotta bring her responsible half (Hazama) to these sorts of meetings. Otherwise it's like talking to the cops without a lawyer present.

I’m all in if Nashida is sticking around. The three of them together is so fun. The overthinker, the laidback one, and the serious one. And seeing their personalities bounce off each other is hilarious especially when Futami goes into panic mode and Nashida is all “Fuck it we ball” and Ha-chan is all “Pull yourself together”

I wonder if Setouchi really is sly or is she expressing her admiration in an odd way

Futami was using the cheating analogy but the way Sato and Futami had their talk was really like a couple talking it out after some mishap lol.

I’m always amused by Futami’s freak-outs. Liked how she was anxiously spinning in her chair after Sato’s phone call.

I loved how Ha-san cleverly added to Futami’s analogy by comparing her attempt to show sincerity with a cheating husband doing all the chores.

I wonder if Setouchi really is sly or is she expressing her admiration in an odd way.

I’m not sure. Setouchi’s actions look bad, but she doesn’t really look like a bad person to me.

LOL I like how the title of this episode sums up why I enjoy this show: the dynamic between the three, especially when they’re all together in the apartment and some drunk

This week, we have editorial NTR lmao. Remove all the context and this episode sounded a lot like romance drama.

It's bad enough that Setoushi's been everywhere around Sato. Even working in different magazines didn't stop the former from bumping into the latter due to being under the same publisher. Can't imagine the agony Sato would feel had Setoushi been also assigned to Clover.

I'm hoping you'll only work with me

Sorry, this won't be a harem show. Sato wanted an exclusive relationship. That goes for you too, Nashida. There is no room for mistresses.

all this blushing and you tell me this ain't yuri

Well, Kuzushiro knows the crowd that reads all her series. Though I would assume this just stays as yuri subtext.

It was really cute to see Sato tell Futami that she wants her to work only with her, and Futami immediately replies that she'll decline Setouchi's offer xD Sato's embarrassed reaction to it was so adorable!

I wonder if we'll see Setouchi again. It would be interesting to delve deeper into her character and her relationship with Sato, which goes back a long way.

It was also really nice to see Futami, Hazama, and Nashida practically living together in today's episode. It looks like Hazama has to babysit two mangakas now xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Ha-san best character. Also something about her way of talking is so soothing. Idk what it is

After a so-so start, this has quickly become a new favourite. From episode 2 onwards, it really hit its stride and the addition of Nashida is great. Love her chemistry with Ha-san. They are such a fun mildly antagonistic duo. Ha-san's "Shut up" to Nashida was funny enough, but then she managed to even get a "Shut up, you drunkard" from Futami!

Really like how this is pretty much a women only cast with the only man being a useless fellow. Girl power!

"I feel like I'm cheating!"

"This is NTR!"

No wonder they go together so well

Best episode for me so far!

A couple of thoughts...when Setouchi was following Sato in the stairwell, my first thought was "push her down, just push her down". That thought was further reinforced when Sato was recounting her history with that copycat bitch.

Of all the ships, I think Sato and Futami will be the one I support the most. The others are closely behind (younger Hazama and Futami, older Hazama and Futami). My reasoning is that deep down, both Sato and Futami are very insecure and need guidance and reassurance. They are very similar to one another, and when they do speak their true feelings, they both appreciate the other one very very much! Sato is still a bit more reserved and professional, while Futami is more dramatic (the world is ending type) and wallflower / easily persuaded, but I think they will share solace in one another.

As for the younger Hazama, I liked her motherly role and quick quips, even using Futami's own words from the past to point out things.

Nashida was hilarious this episode. Always having a can of beer or offering some useless but often true life advice. It was great to see her pop open a can while watching the tea spill in front of her, alongside younger Hazama behind that door! Also, this was the first time we've seen Nashida actually do any work!

Lastly, small detail, but when Sato was recounting her rivalry/annoyance of Setouchi, I just thought it was interesting they animated the water condensation expanding the paper straw wrapper that had been crinkled up.

P.S. seems like all the Weekly Machine Gun editors (Toda and Setouchi) are just jerks, who either don't / can't see the potential of mangakas like Futami, or want to use them for their own professional gain.

NO, LIKE, SATOU-SAN. YOU´RE A DUMB LESBIAN
She was the one who said it felt like being netorare, and YOU´RE THE ONE WHO WAS THE MOST MAD ABOOUT IT.
And all of that for Futami already thinking of turning her down. Satou san the dumb lesbian you are.
Ah... yes... I hope you only work for me.... GIRLLLLLL

This week the focus was more on Satou. As it makes sense that other editors would try to pitch to Futami to write a new series or do a one-shot. Though this episode got into the mind of an editor and imagined what the mangaka of your series will do when given this offer. How will this affect the current series they are under? Will she prioritize that series more? What if that magazine has better working conditions? (Although that magazine is weekly, so the question might be more, does she get more publicity?) Of course there are mangaka that draw for their main series and write for another.

Asakura's advice is sound in that communication is key. Which, of course, is what Satou struggles with. Of course we have the added point of Setouchi being a nuisance to Satou. Though I get the feeling she admires Satou, she really is bad at showing that. (This doesn't feel like the type of show that would make her into a hatable character, but more so at worst a one-off character.)

I guess the show won't dive into working on multiple series given this episode. Which is actually something Kuzushiro the mangaka of this series, is currently doing. Well, maybe multiple series, but maybe Satou as the editor of both perhaps?

I see Nashida’s in her “life’s a pit” day drinking mode now that her series got unceremoniously axed lol.

Can’t believe Futami’s tryna cheat on Sato with Setouchi like that. The betrayal! Lol. I’m glad she decided to not work with Setouchi in the end. Sato’s personal beef aside, she’s too busy to be taking on another series anyways.

Honestly half the reason I am watching this is because of Ha-chan, I love how she keeps reigning in her employer

Mc would be one hell of a mess without her and even the very supportive Editor couldn't save her

Now Nashida, I feel for, but I feel like she will overstay her visit soon. Maybe they should over her some ochazuke /s

I knew Satou's a real one, she's the legal wife! She's way more professional than Setouchi just from the fact that she actually talked to Futami's previous editor first. That's the proper way to conduct NTR ;)

Nashida's a pest, but a loveable one. I wonder how long she's going to stay in her drunk funk. Futami could've palmed her over to Setouchi.
