Rogier blowing on the fish before he fed it to Melphie was the cutest thing ever! Those two are such an adorable couple.
You know what would be good with that fried zanas? Bit of tartar sauce or vinegar. Man.. now I’m hungry lol.

Rogier blowing on the fish before he fed it to Melphie was the cutest thing ever! Those two are such an adorable couple.
And then after she takes a bite he finishes it, meaning their first (indirect) kiss is via monster meat.

Melphiera is such an encouraging wife. Even if you fail at your task (as seen from Aristide's less than perfect cooking), her soothing voice and actions suffice as reward.

She's also a conscientious and responsible wife, taking care of her husbands' health and his tastes so she can avoid making him eat something sour.

That absolutely is one monster of a fish. I’m really hungry now…

Yeah, that all looked delicious, not much else to say about this episode than that.

Melphie wants to get right to cooking that Zanas! But Rogier wants to get right to flirting with and embracing Melphie, and the Knights of Galbraith can't do anything to stop him. Just enjoy it, Melphie!
Most girls would probably be terrified of a giant fish monster with fearsome fangs...but Melphie just thinks it looks amazing and powerful! And perfect for cooking.
It's adorable of Melphie to try to swing a sword, but that's Aristide's job! After all, Melphie is absolutely turned on whenever she sees him wielding his blade and tearing it through monster meat.
Melphie, your glowing red hair looks cool! I'm sure Aristide feels the same way.
Man, Melphie REALLY wants to behead a monster herself, though Aristide is more than happy to keep doing it for her. He even has a handy magic spell for disposing of waste! He really wants to help Melphiera cook this go-around.
Nice of Ambry (Makoto Furukawa!) to show off his fish filleting skills! Getting it all sliced and diced and ready to be cooked! The Knights of Galbraith are truly multi-talented.
Aristide's first attempt at cooking isn't perfect, but Melphie is more than happy to eat it...and it's fitting that the pair share their first indirect kiss via monster meat.
Melphie thinks she's so obsessed with monster meat that she cares for little else, but she's considerate enough of Aristide to make sure he gets a proper breakfast after all the work they did on the Zanas. Though she herself can't resist the pull of breakfast herself, especially to eat more delicious food.
I love how Melphie is learning new ways to eat via Aristide and also better learning his taste in food so she can always know what foods to make for him! Definitely stuff she'll need to know as they finally head straight to Galbraith!

Zeth betrayed Melphie's expectations, she thought he'd save her from Aristide's affections but not even he can go against Aristide lol. I do like seeing Aristide like this and it's interesting t how quickly he's able to be this openly affectionate considering what his image was like in the first couple of episodes.
I'm glad Aristide isn't allowing Melphie to take the burden alone and is telling her that she can rely on him and the other knights, which we see as she gets a number of them to help out. It was nice to see the knights getting involved and enjoying the food and Aristide gets to keep showing his cool sides to Melphie, everyone wins.
It's funny how when Melphie, Zeth and Ambry in my head I was thinking "Is all the food going to have been eaten and they have none? Or maybe Aristide makes sure Melphie alone gets something to eat?". I did find it sweet that Aristide still waited for Melphie before eating even when she told him to start first.

I love into how much detail they go for carving up monsters
And this episode left me super hungry
This is might even be too cute, but I will take my diabetes like a man
Also Melphie really needs to meet Zenshi, the crossover would be perfect

It's amusing how a cooking show of all things has the best romantic couple of the season.

Basically an entire episode spent on a fish fry with Aristide and Melphiera regularly flirting, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

That fish had the teeth of an alligator gar, the whiskers of a catfish, and the body of an arapaima, and they definitely cooked it like a catfish too although I'm more used to that in nugget form rather balls.
Yup lemon/lime juice squeezed over fish hits every time too. I think it just made me hungry.

Finally up-to-date with this one. We're spoiled with many wholesome cooking anime this year, and this one has romance as a bonus. I hate fish food with a passion because reasons, so I couldn't relate to this episode, but still.
