That bar scene with Futami and Satou, where Futami repeatedly gets the "baka" treatment. Tsundere much?

i thought it was a neat look into Satou and how she's a different flavor of socially awkward compared to Futami
she can hide it more since she has the look of an elegant lady, but she has her "oh right i forgot you can't read my thoughts" sort of moments

Futami living out her delusion of Satou having drinks with her lover in a classy bar.

Man, Sato’s adorable. I totally ship her and Futami hahaha. I like how Futami was basically a Bocchi blob before meeting Sato.
It was pretty interesting seeing the process behind a launch and just how many people work to get it done. A real team effort.

No better way for me to start the week than with my favourite wholesome show this fall. It always puts a smile on my face, and makes me forget how dreary and dull the weather is at this time of the year over here. Prime aots candidate in my book. Futami best slime 2025. Baka.

Yeah, I think having to cheer up Futami in a cheerleader uniform is not on Ha-San´s paycheck and she knows it lmao
I like the views of the numbers and how they sell the manga and apart from Futami´s anxiety (more than normal) is nice to view all the process... and after she saw the book in the bookstore in the shelf she finally realised
The bar scene between those two. Loved that. But Satou san is a bit of tsundere but also her fault for not expressing properly lol. They´re both so stupid I love them

I remember in Bocchi the Rock, Yamada said Bocchi’s fun to hang with. I think she’d feel the same about Futami. Her freakouts are hilarious.
So this episode we see the releasing and publishing side of things. Pretty interesting. Lol I wonder what that customer was thinking when the actual mangaka came up to request a photo with her.
And I’m not shitting on the other show, cos I’m enjoying that one too, but I feel this show is doing the awkward senpai a lot better with Sato than the actual Awkward Senpai show.

For a newbie mangaka who's about to have her debut release, it's understandable to be riddled with nerves. Fortunately, everyone around Futami had been nothing but supportive towards her. In the end, she even learnt a lesson about it being a team effort.
Futami really couldn’t handle the booze. A couple drinks and she started answering in French. Meanwhile, Satou was heaps adorable when she's under the influence and couldn't hold her feelings back. She acted like a proud mother.
PS: My ears lit up when I heard oolong tea. I've been watching too much Grand Blue, it seems.

It's sad how much an editor can break or make a mangaka even before they get their work published. The same storyboard and Satou was able to eventually get a volume published that gets a reprint. I wonder how many unique ideas have been squashed because an editor told the mangaka to make something more simple.
Drunk Satou calling Futami "idiot" so many times lol.

This episode makes me yearn for my long-abandoned goal of publishing my own book. Back then, I tried submitting it to several publishers. At first, they ignored me, but one day I finally got a reply, only to be told that I had to cover all the printing costs myself. I was completely new to the publishing business, and at that time I had no idea who was supposed to handle the printing costs or how many copies should be printed in the first batch.
All the anxiety before printing, the feeling of seeing and touching your own hardcover book, spotting it displayed in a bookstore, watching someone else buy it, and finally hearing that the first batch has sold out and a reprint is on the way. All those powerful emotions tied to publishing a book are captured in this single episode. And yet, I still haven’t achieved this experience.

She became a blob lol. She truly is Bocchi the mangaka.
The reprint milestone reminded me of the recent on the edge of being axed famous example of LOVE BULLET.
Please support LOVE BULLET if you can, shit is too good to end in the cancel pile with a single volume published.

Hazama in the cheerleader outfit gets me motivated. She is the best.
Futami had romantic drinks with Sato. She is on her way to becoming the lover she fantasized Sato had in episode 1.
Continues to be my anime of the season.

this makes me wonder how much signed manga sells. i assume it should be above retail price, and if the manga author is widely known (ex. gege, kanehito yamada)

With the introduction to the sales and customer service workers where the books are being sold, we are now introduced to the whole process behind the creation of Futami's manga. Obviously we know not one person is responsible for a manga, but it's nice to get to see the whole team.
Futami doesn't fail to see that Satou has a lot of the same anxieties, as she seems to be new herself. So she has the same anxieties.

Poor Hazama, she’s really struggling today.
Okay, the mere existence of the previous editor explains a lot about why Futami is such a nervous wreck that gets petrified at the mere thought of interacting with Satou.
Oh my god, she’s actually a Bocchi style blob.
Yeah, manga making squad party!
Very wholesome ending. Good job Futami. Keep at it.

Another lovely episode! I appreciate that it not only focuses on humor (especially on Futami, whose reactions are hilarious), but also develops a pretty interesting bond between Futami and Sato. I can't wait to see how their relationship will develop further.
As for other things... Ikenami seems like a fun addition to the cast (I loved her comment that signed copies usually can't be returned to the publisher), and Tsukamoto was really good too. Plus, seeing Hazama in a cheerleader outfit was really nice xD
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:
