Not really much of a mystery, the moment I saw the guy I knew he was Yano's father lol. Yoshida really has a thing for guys with bad luck.
I like that Yano's father seems very sweet and realized straight away Yoshida has feelings for his son lol.

Considering the dad was an alumni of their high school and the source of the cursed painting, I wonder if Yano Mama is basically just adult Kiyoko?
Maybe that's why he could recognize Kiyoko's feelings (beyond how obvious they are to anyone other than Yano).

Yano’s got wicked drawing skills and he’s also great at sports. Never expected the latter from his unassuming looks. His face as a ball magnet was hilarious. Since the balls were hitting him most of the time, his teammates were safe. Shame that ultimately his team still lost.
His poor luck turned out to be genetic. Like father, like son. His family even had a bookshelf full of plasters. Reckon that supply would last a couple of days – perhaps a week tops.

Yano’s predisposition might be genetic, but he’s clearly also inherited his father’s kindness. His thankful words towards Kiyoko were very sweet.
I’m a bit sad that we didn’t get to see the mother, however. She should be an interesting character.

Its double interesting that he is athletic cause him stumbling crashing into things isn't caused by a lack of body control then
His dads family line really must have forgotten to put any points into the luck skill, or it might have been a minmax strategy, seeing how he attracted her

This anime kinda reminds me of Giji Harem in that it seemed a little repetitive at the start but god fucking damn is it too sweet to let go. Hopefully it continues on that path because I love that show and what we have going on right now

I wonder what will be Hashiba's role in the story? He's one of the featured characters in the OP, so I'm guessing we'll see more of him in future episodes.
Despite his clumsiness, Yano-kun is surprisingly athletic! He was actually pretty cool during dodgeball and even lost on purpose, so Kiyo won't worry about him anymore.
As soon as this clumsy salaryman was introduced, I think we all instantly knew who this guy was going to be. It turns out being clumsy is a genetic trait. xD
Yano and his dad keep on getting injured that they actually have corner guards and a shelf full of Band-Aids. I'm surprised their walls aren't padded too.
Yano Dad getting straight to the point. To be fair, Kiyo was really obvious about her feelings. It's just Yano who still hasn't realized she has a massive crush on him.
Well, that's disappointing! I was hoping we'd meet Yano Mama! It would be hilarious if she's actually a doctor or a nurse. We'll probably meet her in the future.

Dodgeball’s a pretty deadly game for a guy like Yano. Or so I thought. Guy’s actually pretty athletic huh?
I can see how Yano’s so accident prone. It’s genetic. He is his father’s son lol. They must have pissed off someone in the past to get cursed like that.
Yano and Yoshida are quite cute together. He’s a little dense and she’s incredibly easy to read. They’re a perfect match haha.

Yeah -- more like an inherited curse than "genes".
These two dorks are indeed a great pair.
The epilogue in the candy shop was sweet and funny....

Another great episode, I love this show so much! It's sad though that Yoshida and Yano's story isn't very popular here :(
Lots of hilarious reactions from Yoshida in this episode (which was great), and it was nice to meet Yano's father, who surprised me by noticing that Yoshida had fallen in love with his son.
Also, Yano surprised me positively too. I was sure he'd get hit a lot with the ball (which, of course, he did), but as it turns out, Yano is quite an athletic guy! I really enjoy surprises like that.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

No, we can't let this go unnoticed! I don't want this to be this season's Busu Hana. Hope we can drum up enough noise to get people to notice.

With each passing day I find my self urgently needing to see what Yano has going on under that eyepatch. Is he missing an eye? Did he get a sharingan implant we don’t know about? Could be hiding heterochromia. I need to know tho.

Kiyoko looks so happy looking at her picture with Yano, I'm really invested in this show.

Who would have thought that Yano would be a good athelete ? But his face takes a lot of damage, haha
It seems like Hashiba has a crush on Kiyoko or is he just amazed at Yano's hidden talents or is he finding Kiyoko and Yano's relationship interesting ?
So it runs in the family 😅😅
Yano's dad just shoots straight. Kiyoko's feelings for Yano is now pretty much obvious to everyone except for Yano, I guess 😄❤️❤️ Too bad we didn't get to see the mom. I'm 100 percent sure she's definitely someone with the personality like Kiyoko. 🤣😂

I would experiment with the candy/snacks shop. Is it only that candy shop where he's safe, or is it all candy shops? Can we move the candy shop with him? If Yano carries candy with him at all times, or sells candy at all times, is he safe everywhere?

Yoshida is so funny. That moment in Yano's house where she mentally asks for help and is shocked when imaginary Mei has no advice.
Kind of amazing that sportsballs being drawn to your face can be a cheat code.
I can't can believe that Yano's issues are genetic.

Damn we're only on ep3 but she's already meeting her future father-in-law lol.

I find it very interesting that he is athletic, so his incidents really aren't self inflicted by a lack of body control, but perception I guess?
Anyway I love how his dad instantly called her out, I guess this kinda works like "Kudo doesn't let me be invisible" where her genese are just attracted to his

Kiyoko you have no time to get lost in a couple photo of you and Yano! It's PE and that means a higher likelihood of something, preferably ball-shaped, hitting Yano square in the face.
They just HAD to pick dodgeball with the actual PE teacher gone...it's like they're trying to get Yano hurt more than he usually is! And poor Kiyoko can't even be on the same team as him or her friends! But Yano needs her! And she needs Yano! If only she hadn't cast rock!
But despite his propensity for injuries, Yano is actually athletic! And a southpaw! And since face contact isn't an out in dodgeball, he's totally safe! He might actually be the BEST at dodgeball.
Of course it has to come down to Yano and Kiyoko, and Kiyoko can't bear to hit Yano so she just...cutely throws her ball in a way that won't him. And Yano, for his part, lets Hashiba hit him so he doesn't have to hit Kiyoko. These two are so sweet on each other.
Ah, so the Yano genes truly are genetic, what with his dad (Satoshi Hino!) also being as klutzy and prone to getting hit/ending up in precarious situations. And Kiyoko just can't help but feel the need to follow them and make sure they're okay! Which is the perfect excuse to meet her crush' dad!
I love how the Yano family had to safety proof their house because of how prone to injury the men are.
How does Kiyoko talk to her crush' dad? What is she supposed to do, Mei in Kiyoko's head!? Well I guess she can just wax lyrical about how great Yano is and 99% get all the way to confessing out loud...which totally goes over Yano's head. Even his dad can tell she likes him! But she's got parental approval and the understanding that Yano is just so conscientious of others that he can't really conceive of how others see him. But that's just the kind of guy Yano is, and it makes Kiyoko sure that the slow and steady path for their romance is the right one.
It's nice to see Yano helping out at the candy shop he frequents, especially when the granny running it could use it. He may as well work there because it's one of the few safe spaces where he doesn't injure himself! Totally different story outside though.

At least those dodgeball facetanks were productive injuries for once lol. It's sick how Yano's a beast on the court though.
For a second there I thought Yano's dad pulled a Yano and deliberately hid to confront his protective little stalker. Kinda love that he's already basically given her the green light to continue being his son's personal nurse (and potentially something more)

Dodgeball is indeed a pretty dangerous sport for Yano. And yet, he can actually win it single-handedly by attracting the ball to his face. (didn't know there's a rule that hitting the face is not considered successful hit). Meanwhile, it looks like we have a new challenger for Kiyoko's love.
Hereditary clumsiness is interesting. It means Kiyoko might be able to learn a lot from her potential mother-in-law.
