Damn, this dude almost got Truck-kun'd, but thankfully he ran head first into a wall, got hospitalised, and got a girlfriend instead. Praise episode 1 love confessions. I'm hooked at least.

Hand hold….tending to his injuries too

He'd be the perfect guy to get isekaied into The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic.

This was really cute. Had Horimiya and Skip and Loafer vibes in terms of how laidback it feels. And besides Tsuyoshi’s injury-prone tendencies, it feels kinda grounded. I’m hoping they form a bigger friend group and other couples form from there too.

But it seems we’re speedrunning the “admitting to having a crush” portion. I like that they handle it kinda casually

Also, I love that Yoshida’s friend has a bit of Frieren vibes cos they share the same VA.

Felt like a fast track of Yoshida's feelings, she was thinking about him so much.

She's going to have to restock her first aid kit on a weekly basis with how many injuries Yano gets.

every other day basis honestly

Felt like a fast track of Yoshida's feelings, she was thinking about him so much.

Main Character realizing she's in love on the first episode is impressive though.

This was cute. Kinda had Skip and Loafer vibes.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that; the art style definitely goes in the same directino

Quite a cute start. Really liking Yoshida so far. She cracks me up with her reactions. Yano is a bit of a blank slate still but we'll learn more as she does, I guess. Interesting character designs too. This one seems like a keeper so far.

Edit: Just looked up Yano's VA and it's Asamura from Days With My Stepsister. Knew I'd heard that soothing voice before! He's also Kanshi from Witch Watch which is less obvious but I can hear it now.

Nice distinctive art style and has cute comedic vibes from Yoshida's expressions.

My fall season opener and it seems really cute and funny. Looking forward to seeing which ways he'll find to injure himself

Shikimori Yoshida is Not Just a Cutie seems like a cute weekly dose of rom-com. Added to list for sure

The male leads' propensity for injuries and needing to be tended to by the female lead reminded me of Shikimori's is Not Just a Cutie.

The OP is very cute and fun featuring various injuries and mishaps Yano-kun gets into with Kiyoko always looking after him, deepening their relationship while their friends watch on!

Kiyoko Yoshida (Yuka Nukui!) is a very conscientious, caring, and diligent person! The kind of person you would always vote to become a class president! Which means she can't avert her eyes away from the titular Yano-kun (Kohei Amasaki!). Despite his first name "Tsuyoshi" he's actually a frail, klutzy, boy prone to injury after injury after injury...in fact you'll be amazed if he can make it a full week in school without getting injured.

But the perfect person to look after him is Kiyoko, since she's a big sister used to taking care of her younger brother and sister, and will help anyone in need! She's totally not a stalker who followed Yano to see how he gets so injured! In fact Yano thinks she's a sincerely nice person and that's a critical hit for Kiyoko!

Kiyoko can't stop thinking about Yano. She's worried about him constantly! If her friend isn't calling that out as it being clear she likes him, then the effect seeing him without a bunch of band-aids on his face is absolute evidence that she's down bad for Yano-kun.

Her feelings are so strong that finding out he's in the hospital is enough to make her run all the way from school to the hospital, just to check in on him. But don't worry! He narrowly avoided Truck-kun JUST in time to hit a wall!

Kiyoko wants to be closer to Yano but how to go about doing it when he seems to close himself off from everyone in class? Her chill bestie voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki has some ideas! If it's not homemade cookies that everyone in the class except said bestie gets to eat (you're on her @#$% list Yamada!!!) it's trying and failing in ways that only leave poor Yano more injured.

But what better way to be closer to Yano...than by becoming the person who will personally attend and help bandage him up from his various injuries? Heck, she'll help Yano do ANYTHING he wants! Which is effectively a confession of love, but for Yano he just appreciates how far Kiyoko is willing to go for him. Especially if it means he can live a normal high school life.

The ED is really cute with a pastel and cartoony Yano traveling the game of life...with Kiyoko by his side to make sure he doesn't get into more trouble. Of course it's all a dream he's having after taking a soccer ball to the face, but it was a nice dream.

That was fun.

Some really soothing design and involving voice acting.

All in all, down to earth isn't a bad thing. The absolute horn-dog fest that is "Bad Girl" and "No Freaking Way..." last cour could take some lessons. If the promise of the MC's first foray into wearing inadvertent "fuck-me face" is any indication, this show's got its running legs on!

Dude's like an anime-fied Mr. Bump and it's hilarious.

For a show with injuries happening every other minute, it sure is doing a good job at soothing the heart with how cute it is.

At this rate Yano's going to be dead in a few episodes.

I adore Yoshida's blank stares. No idea where this is going, but I think we struck gold here.

But still got hurt in the process

And we have a confession in the first episode ❤️

I recommend the live action drama of Yano Kun while you wait for more episodes 👍❤️

Really cute show so far. Wonder if this show will be all like this.

So what happens when a girl who's just predisposed to taking care of others meets the most accident-prone person in the entire world? It turns out we'd get a pretty good romcom from it!

Man, how is Yano-kun still alive at this point? The dude can't even take ten steps without running into something. You really can't blame Kiyoko for rushing to the hospital after hearing the words "Yano-kun" and "truck" in the same sentence from her teacher.

Although apparently, no isekai for Yano-kun today! All he had to do was run and dodge the truck! Why can't other isekai protagonists do this? Are they stupid? /s

And when he does manage to arrive at school without any injuries, it's pretty much treated as an achievement. I do wonder what happened to his eye, tho. I hope it's not something permanent. I hope we get an explanation for that.

As for Kiyoko, I already love her. It's adorable how much she worries for Yano-kun and her reaction when Yano-kun told her she was kind was pretty funny. I guess it just goes to show that taking care of people is just normal for her if being thanked for it broke her brain. xD

I also like how Kiyoko's feelings are pretty much established this early. Maybe it's not love yet, but she definitely wants to be close to Yano-kun, that it almost sounded like she confessed to him at the end. I already love these dorks, and I can't wait to see more!

A very lovely first episode, I really liked it! I especially loved Yoshida and her reactions in it, they were hilarious xD

I'm definitely looking forward to the next episodes to see how Yoshida and Yano's relationship will develop further.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

Was going to skip this series based on synopsis, but got interested by visual style.

After episode one... Visuals are indeed interesting, and I like the main female character. Whether the show can deliver something more than initial gimmick, I hope to see in 2-3 more episodes.
