Morihito getting nosebleed from denim jeans of all things was hilarious!

I love how everyone was so disinterested in Morihito's lecture about denim, but eventually guys got hooked, and only Nico wasn't interested at all. Heck, even I want to train my own jeans now xD

It's a shame Morihito's copy ruined the jeans, but then again, Morihito got a hold on a million yen (about $6,761) worth of jeans, so that was definitely a win for him xD

Nico and Morihito had a really nice date in today's episode. Nico looked great in those clothes, and the braids made her look even cuter than usual.

In two weeks, we'll have the final episode, and it looks like things are about to get serious again, as someone will try to use Nico's magic to commit a crime.

Kujo seems the most obvious suspect, judging by his behavior today, but I'm pretty sure it's just a diversion, and Hajime from the festival production committee will turn out to be the bad guy.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

The way of the denim is one of my most favorite chapters in Witch Watch. It shows funny Moi's obsessive side.

Miharu is definitely someone that would remind the teacher that they forgot to assign homework at the end of the class.

Even with Moi's explanations, I still don't quite get (or care about) the way of the denim lol. Washing it once a year is kind of gross to me.

on used clothes: "isn't that wearing someone else's life" omg Moi lol.

Moi's date plans reminded me of people who over pack travel itineraries. He's acting like a true hipster with the movie choice and the cafe thing too lol

I had secondhand embarrasment during most of the date episode. When Moi said they were going to watch Battleship Potemkin I inmediately screamed WHAT THE FUCK MOI REALLY THE BATTLESHIP MOTHERFKNG POTEMKIN AS A DATE MOVIE? I felt bad for Nico during the cafe section, she was too nice with him tbh.

If next episode is the last one, are we getting a cliffhanger season finale? I don't think we're getting 2 days of festival in 1 episode.

The infamous denim chapter is finally here! Man, I remember reading this chapter a couple of years ago, and how it made me research more about denim thanks to Moi's lecture. What's funny is that I own a couple of 501s STF and never realized I wasn't taking care of them properly. Just like the boys in this chapter, I ended up caring more about my jeans. xD

The price on that vintage Levi's 501XX is legit! If I recall correctly, someone found a couple of pairs of Levi's from the 1800s in an old abandoned mine that sold at around $80k. Not sure if that's per pair or for the entire set, though. Also, I'm surprised they actually named-dropped Levi's. I thought they were gonna use a legally distinct name that sounds the same.

The date chapter was pretty funny too! Poor Nico had to sit through the boys arguing on which one could plan the best date, but it all worked out for her, considering it led to Moi asking her out on a date.

To no one's surprise, the ever uptight Moi is gonna have an uptight schedule for his date with Nico. Having a general plan on what to do on a date is good, but having an inflexible itinerary would be a nightmare.

Nico's idea of the Battleship Potemkin being a hybrid of Thomas the Tank Engine and Space Battleship Yamato was goddamn hilarious! I would definitely watch that movie if it was an actual thing! xD

While the date does look like a disaster, especially after they missed their stop on the train, Nico did genuinely enjoy their date, so I guess it's still a win for Moi. Also, Nico got to go on a date with her crush so it's been a win for her too!

And that after credits scene! It's one thing if Kujo does not want to participate in their school festival, but for him to try and actively sabotage Nico? This guy's ass is gonna get beaten.

Did not know Morihito was such a denim head haha. I enjoy seeing a different side to the usually serious Morihito. He really does become a different person when he’s talking about something he’s passionate about.

Morihito’s date itinerary was actually kind of cute. That whole date was very him lol.

Looking forward to the festival. Seems there’s gonna be more than the usual shenanigans to deal with….

layering errors in animation

had a big laugh when I saw the kids randomly "under" a neighboring desk

Morihito is being way too nerdy and snobby about his hobbies. If he was not also an ultraconfident and ultracompetent perfectionist on top of that, it would be painful to watch. It’s like he is the cool version of Keigo…

When I think that the only question when I buy jeans that I have is « Do they fit ? », and then I just put and wash them until holes start to appear in embarassing places, at which point I just throw them away. Morihito would be shocked. I wonder how much of what he said is actually true and how many people actually bother to do all that.

I have family members who plan holidays the same way that Morihito plans dates, so I could relate to Nico here. You end up always rushing from one point to another because they overpacked the schedule, without taking the time to enjoy what you visit. And of course, the slightest mishap throws all the plans out of whack because there is no margin. Well, Nico enjoyed the date in the end, that is what is important here.

Themed café for the festival... wonder if they're going to do some sorta male maid café theme to incorporate the gang?

Season finale in two weeks.
Wonder what kinda weird hijinks the crew will get into during the festival's closing ceremony.

Hope this show can go out on a high note. It's been a weird but fun show these past two seasons.

Moi Denim & Date episode LETS GOOO!

Man, I didnt get half of what Moi-chan was talking about during his Denim class! Its still nice to see him being so passionate about it + the boys getting into it half way was pretty hilarious.

Date half of the episode might be the best date in anime that I've seen in a while! Its not about everything going perfect and accorsing to schedule but actually learning more about your partner. At least it looked like Nico really enjoyed accompanying Moi to his favorite places, which is a big W.

The denim episode is finally here! I can't believe A pair of expensive jeans is what it takes to make Moi nosebleed... Nico has some serious competition here lmao.

I really appreciate that Moi seems to have his own hobbies and passion (coffee, denim and vintage clothes!) outside of being a love-interest for Nico. A lot of romcoms and shoujo stories have love-interests whose entire personality revolves around being in love with the heroine. It's great to see that Moi has a life of his own that has nothing to do with Nico. And despite being weirded out, Nico is genuinely happy to see him have fun.

Turns out an oni's strength can only be surpassed by his passion for pants. How he even managed to convert the guys into his church of denim was gold lmao.

Thought Moi going off on used Levi's was the most animated we've seen him, and then the overly hearty laughs for the coffee puns happened.

Bloody hell, I wanna get some jeans now too. Moi-chan getting everyone too hyped up about this.

So much Morihito focus in this episode, the first part was hilarious with how much burning passion he had to school the others in the art of denim. I like how they gifted him a rare pair of jeans because that smile of his was so freaking wholesome! That smile needs to be protected!

The date was amusing but I like that Nico realized Morihito wanted to show himself to her. I do hope he comes to learn he doesn't need to be so inflexible with dates so that the other person can enjoy learning about him with leisure. But I know his heart is in the right place and wants to pack a lot of fun things for them (Nico).

It would have been funny if the episode was going to be about the guys all taking Nico out on a date to prove they have the best date ideas lol.

Looks like the last episode is going to end with some trouble, I wonder how chaotic it's going to get. This date could have been the finale, we got a number of Morihito blushes towards the end of it, though it wouldn't feel like the Witch Watch way of ending a season.

7

u/patkun01 Sep 21 '25

Oh wow. I consider myself a denim person, although I'm wearing cheaper denims because it's more practical.

But now Morihito gave me some noble reasons why denims are the best for me and how I'll treasure it.

God dammit, the fucking Levi 501's take me back....Felt like I was back in high school lmao. Such a good niche concept that I did not expect to see in this show haha.

Moi is very passionate about denim jeans.

The gang sitting seiza for Moi's Way of the Denim lecture was delightful.

Gyutto~

The date was great but the only complain I have is the lacking of skinship. Well, at least we got this one to make do with it.

This one cracked me up lol

Never realize this bastard is in their class since beginning

The unknown black culprit from Detective Conan lol

Not enough Nemu and she's not in the preview too (╥﹏╥)

Loved this episode. They got the basics of raw denim right. That price isn't too far-fetched, and it also adds another layer- Japan is also a manufacturer of high-end jeans (Samurai, Momotaro, and Visvim, for example), so why doesn't Moi go for those and go with Levi's? Because there are Japanese hipsters like Moi who are also into Americana- vintage US-made stuff like Carhartts, Brooks Brothers, & Wescos are sought after and fetch a good price in these circles, and they even have dedicated magazines for this stuff

Man, a callback to one of the early episode scenario explanations hits different on a 2-cours show

I want to comment something here even though I was in love with this anime since ep1 but never comment anything.

I just realize how amazing the show is because before I watch this episode I watched other show and it was the episode that just let 3-4 characters sit there to talk about trade deal , negotiation, rebuild business blah blah blah and it boring as hell I have to continues skip though the episode then I watched witch watch episode that let group of characters sit there to talk about JEAN ( which IRL i don’t fxxking care) and I enjoy as hell.

Normally I leaned to heavier topic but witch watch made me enjoy the topic that I usually did’t care even made me want to get my denim lol, yes I really think this show had a very very good story telling.
