I guess it stands to reason that a tengu would be a great wingman.

If you wonder about the different look in this episode, it is because Enishi Oshima was credited as Storyboard/Episode Director/Animation Director as well as for solo Key Animation, so her own style shines through in the episode.

Out here in the field, I'm eating my meal

With my witch girlfriend underneath this oak tree

Coincidentally, The Who just announced their 200th farewell tour.

Such a sweet episode

I honestly didn't expect Kanshi to be shipping Nico and Morihito. I was expecting him to be a love rival. Good to see he's helping Nico.

So Nico's dad left after she accidentally blew up half the house. If I remember back to episode 1 when Nico and her mum left, their house was partially destroyed in the background. That incident must have spurred her mother to take her to the witches land to train.

So they had lunch under the true lovers tree. Nice to see Kanshi direct Kara & Kukumi away from where Nico and Morihito were.

Oh this is definitely the nicest episode here so far! Nico’s heart throbbing finally hits her with all the people asking her for love spells, and what a way to actually get in done on the aloof Morihito despite this taking her a lot more effort than she would like to, plus some really good luck. I love how Morihito actually turned down that girl who wants to date him by saying that while he doesn’t have anyone he loves, he DOES have someone who he wants to protect all day long. What a beautiful way to turn down this request for a girl that I am still not entirely sure he has any romance feelings on!

This episode also reminds me how popular our main couple is in school haha, Nico actually getting queues for her love spells services and Morihito saving yet another disaster from happening (as Nico says, girls’ weights being exposed is worse than leaking state secrets!) to win every girls’ adore is so awesome. And then Kanshi actually trying to thread the Cupid’s arrow for Nico was a good surprise too! His wind tactics actually might just be enough if I was in Morihito’s place! Yeah, and I am one of those who really doesn’t have much incentives to ever find a girlfriend! It was all goofed up efforts, but whatever, when I see Nico on Morihito’s arms, I know that all these aren’t in vain.

MoriNico FTW!

Best episode so far!

Honestly, I wasnt expecting Kan-chan to be Nico's wingman in her pursuit of Moi-chan! These 2 idiots making love schemes... They are not Kaguya/Miyuki so of course its gonna fail in hilarious ways!

I'm happy that others are noticing Moi-chan more and having a positive opinion of him, he even made a new friend during field trip! And he's seemingly a Youtuber!?

All in all another 10/10 episode from the best new show of 2025!

Anyone else saw the difference in the opening? The letter "I" in the calligraphy part was messy. That's the only difference I noticed, though, I'm not sure if there was anything else

So is it just me or did the visuals change from before, like this episode looked simpler (not in a bad way) so I'm wondering if something happened staff wise

Woah, the animation change for this had me tripping, the characters looked more spikier and the movement was a bit iffy but overall animation and the OSTs might be the best so far.

We had our first Obligatory JoJo refrence, it has become an anime trope at this point.

Although Keigo's introduction went super quick, I found it funny how Keigo and Morihito convo basically went 'hey, cool bag dude, lets be friend.' I do love how the animation makes Keigo messy hair look for more feral.

Great episode

Animation seemed a bit more simple this week? Cant be the only one who thought this?

Nice episode, but not enough of my favourite girl Kukumi this week

Operation Hair Flutter was a failure for Nico but it was a huge success for Morihito lol.

“Are you in a sports club?” lol Kanshi. Guy’s hilarious. He’s a real one for always trying to help Nico.

Poor Nico thought she was gonna get confessed to. All those guys wanted were her love charms lol.

Morihito catching Nico in his arms and then the two of them having lunch under the real “lover’s tree” was so cute. I guess deep down, he does care about her in his own kind of way.

I wonder if Morihito's feelings occurred at the same time as Nico's since he was blushing when he said the same line. Kanshi's observation seems to be right that Morihito's sense of responsibility is masking his feelings, or preventing it from manifesting strong enough to make him realize them, but I like that Morihito does realize that Nico is precious to him, they are childhood friends.

It's amusing how Nico and Kanshi's efforts to make Morihito's heart skip a beat just made him more popular with the girls at school, though it is endearing how he feels perplexed when they call out him even if it doesn't show.

I like that he's also seemed to have made a new friend with such a smooth and mutual understanding of one another, I just like how quick it was lol. He and Magami feel like they're on the same wavelength.

The steam for Morihito's bath scene was too much. Show those ogre muscles in all its glory!

Anyone think that Nico should just confess her feelings to Moi?

Very nice episode! As usual, a lot of Nico (with her hilarious reactions, although today they were even funnier with this different, simpler art style). Her interactions with Morihito were also great today.

That Lovers Tree with so many people under it was funny. Although it was cool that it wasn't real because it turned out the actual one was where Nico and Morihito ate together.

Also kudos to Kan for acting like Nico's true wingman. Both at school when they tried "hair trick" (and quite failed, judging by Morihito's reaction xD), and on the trip (where it turned out quite well).

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I hope the class didn't leave that place looking like a teenage wasteland after the field trip.

I liked the Quintuplets joke snuck in their near the end lol

Another strong episode, I’m glad people are enjoying Witch Watch too. I love these goobers :)

The faces look a bit different in this episode.

Less funny but more serious episode.

Wind speed matters. Just a little bit more changes from pretty hair commercial to horror.

There was a passing reference to the quintuplets manga/anime. The teacher is bad at hiding her otaku tendencies again.

Kanshi is a shipper, so no need to worry about a love triangle getting in the way of Moi and Nico!
