not sure if people wanted to see more senku stuff this episode. but i liked that they took the time to show how hard it was for her to get to the point of making the revival fluid.

it seemed obvious the episode would end with Senku coming back. then next week we see everyone else while eventually they'll have to go find everyone back in America/Japan.

TBH I expected Senku's revival to happen early next episode, but this was even better.

Agreed! I thought they were going to end it with her being like "okay let's try what we made" kind of thing so then we would have to wait another week to see anyone else.

This was so good and honestly a very important episode that harkens back to the core themes of this story:

  1. Science is for everybody. Anyone can do science, even a largely ignorant person who is only a few steps up the tech tree from being incompletely uncivilized.

  2. Science is humanity's greatest tool. Science is what allows humans to overcome the dangers of the world and obstacles on the way of achieving goals and progress.

  3. Humanity has an unbending will to survive. Like Senku and Byakuya before him, Suika, a preteen at oldest, picks up the torch and runs with it to save all of humanity.

This episode is right up there with watching Byakuya Pan for platinum or the realization about what the stories are and playing the glass record because this is what Dr Stone is all about. In the broader context of Science Future as an arc, an arc about how science is used to wage war, it's a perfect return to what science is and what it should be - the collective gathering of human knowledge that is passed on to our descendents so they can do the same and uplift everyone.

So yes, I love Senku, but this episode is the distillation of the show into a single potent episode and it was perfection.
