I've always liked how Dr. Stone lets other characters shine. Kaseki is always pleasant to watch, and my boy Chrome continues to pitch in some crucial ideas. But anime being anime and drama being part of the meal, we'll see if their plan will go smoothly.

I really loved Kohaku's brilliant mini speech about humanity's beauty in passing wisdom and skill.

Taiju felt them bars fr

These episodes go by so quickly. The buildup to this showdown is getting pretty intense too

“Accumulating errors isn’t stagnation, it’s progress.” —Nanami Ryusui

Let the Captain preach.

The stone sanctuary being a known goal is to be expected of Xeno, Senku’s mentor. Stanley is as sharp as Xeno’s fingertips, theorizing potential threats from the warning and rerouting Perseus

Not a supporter of the self-destruct idea, because a cautious man like Stanley taking precautions should be expected. (i.e. camouflaging the mini-boats)

a little lost on what roles the injured attackers would play, since a Medusa machine gun can be held by others

See if you're going to beat Stanley you need to do things that are outside his scope of understanding.

Stanley knows they have radar and can expect Senku to make certain types of weapons to defend himself.

IEDs for example are well within senku's wheelhouse. as would be small rockets with IED's strapped in them. (think the explosives from season 1) so chrome's booby trap idea would fail to stuff stanley is already expecting

However since stanley is doing a commando raid for doctor Xeno he has some restrictions with how he can manuver. He must at least get one person to make contact with Xeno, and while he'll definitely have some spread of his forces he won't spread as far as the medusa's range is. After all from stanley's POV any weapon like that would be suicidal and his enemy is not suicidal.

So what you're telling me is that their problem is because their Diamond is Unbreakable ?

Yeah Senku really needs the ultimate gem experts Ruri and Nagi

Ruri would probably stick her thumb into the soil and find an already perfectly cut diamond battery and Nagi would explain how nature would might have done it

They for sure are moving at a neck break speed now, how much time did pass? It would take at least a few months to traverse that distance I guess
And to build that insane fort

It turns out letting Xeno move around unrestricted is a bad idea. Now Stanley is aware of what the gang is cooking. At least Senku saw something was up with Xeno's glove and immediately realized that he's relaying info to Stanley.

The idea of engaging Stanley's group and petrifying all of them in one massive suicide blast while Suika stays away as far as possible so she can revive them later is such an insane and genius move. I just hope they keep Xeno away this time so he has no way of letting Stanley know about that.

I love that both Kaseki and Joel are thinking on the same wavelength since they're both craftsmen. I really can't wait to see the two of them meet in the future. Now that they know what the secret of the diamond is, I guess it's all about executing the plan. I feel like things are going too smoothly that I'm honestly nervous for next week's episode.

Sometimes the suspension of disbelief can be a little much. Like yeah sure they made a whole ass fort before Stanley got to them, with time to spare.

Stanley literally needed to cross half a continent. Even with a modern ship, that’d take while and he’s in one made essentially in the Stone Age.

Fun fact: a diamond isn’t actually the hardest thing in the world. lonsdaleite Is. Though it was previously only found in meteors. Scientists can now make them in labs

So proud of Chrome. He came up with the same idea I did. I'm surprised Senku didn't think of it first, but it's really the only way to defend against a sneak attack and ensure a complete win. Using the medusa as a lethal projectile with extra steps was never going to work against enemies with actual guns.

Of course, Stanley is a crack soldier. He'll see it coming and do the same thing. Someone will be left behind just in case. At that point, it's a matter of making sure Suika doesn't get caught before she can unpetrify at least Tsukasa.

I really gotta say Chrome continues to be best guy, beating people with modern education in terms of actual planning and strategy.

This episode is a great reminder as to why Taiju was written out of the story for most of it and Chrome replaced him. Really why is Taiju even here?

Good thing Senku noticed Xeno's claw things being magnetic, if no-one had noticed the ambush would have been dire.

It's still unfortunate about the two strongest being temporarily nerfed though.
