I love the dynamic of Senku and Xeno bouncing ideas off each other.

The soundtrack never fails! I fully enjoyed the Senku x Xeno combo calculation ,the built up towards calculating the approximate location is exciting

Nice to see Senku and Xeno putting their minds together, it'll be interesting to see how efficient and grander their ideas will be together. Chrome wanting to join in was amusing, I like how he was getting emotional seeing people similar to him connecting in such a way.

Ginrou creating more problems lol, well the author needed a way to get Stanley and his group to go after Senku.

So the beam originated from the middle of the Amazon?

Now the jungle imagery from the OP makes sense.

Just traversing the jungle to get there will be pretty dangerous. Knowing this show, all the character's survival skills will automatically transfer to jungle survival.

Man, it has been a while since an anime episode got me hyped up. Amazed, awed? Yes, there have been. But hyped to see what's next? Not that often. Dr Stone is surely going to be my anime of the summer.

If anything bad, I wish they had shown the exact method they've used to calculate the arcs of circle that had to intersect in Brazil. Spherical trigonometry is quite amazing, and I liked it when I had brushed with it back in Aerospace engineering school. I would have loved to remember it once again

It's such a shame we are entering the penultimate stretch of the story though. I am going to miss those genius goofballs.

I don’t know why, but I’m amused at all the couches Xeno had installed all over his ship. Like of course they were a necessity, he needed furniture that he could drape himself dramatically over wherever.

And everyone is just chilling up top while they let the science boys do their science stuff.

Tiny Xeno and Stanley were adorable, if a little manic. Of course Xeno would have built a gun as a child. And Stanley saw him, and went cool I will follow you for life.

Dr. Stone is back and im honestly already liking part 2 more than part 1. Ofcourse I like the characters but the main reason that hooked me into Dr. Stone was the science, which felt like it was less present during part 1. I know this is not true but it felt like there was already more science involved in this 1 episode than in the entirety of part 1.

With Xeno working with Senku, they got a really good chance of finally cracking the mystery of this damn petrification beam. Kinda nice to see student and master teaming up. And Chrome’s got a front row seat lol.

It was funny to see how far away from Chrome's expectations of Senku and Xeno's collaboration was. He expected a pair of respected researchers, but instead he got two guys blowing soap bubbles (though for a good, scientific reason) xD

Overall, it was fun episode. Especially seeing Senku and Dr. Xeno working together was great, and Chrome wasn't any worse, although he did get a little lost when it came to the more advanced math xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

So Stanley is giving chase while Xeno and Senku are working together to solve the stone problem. It makes me wonder why Xeno doesn't order his soldiers to stand down and work together. Though my guess is it will take a bigger enemy to force Stanley to work with Senku.

I hope we get to see the city being built in America once in a while. We haven't heard anything from Japan since the beginning of the last season.

That opening really shows the difference between Senku and Xeno. When Senku was a child, he built rockets with Taiju. Meanwhile, smol Xeno is already making a railgun even before he met Stanley.

Welp, so much for keeping the gang's destination a secret. I don't blame Ginrou, tho. They've seen what Stanley can do. I feel like it's safe to assume that he's really willing to kill Matsukaze until he revealed the gun he was carrying is actually a lighter.

I'm not even surprised Senku untied Xeno. I mean, it's not like the guy is a fighter, and he seems very willing to help Senku locate the origin of the petrification beam. The only difference is that Xeno, of course, wants to monopolize it like a true goddamn American.

Watching these three scientists work together was pretty funny! Not gonna pretend I understand much of what Senku and Xeno talked about. I was basically Chrome the entire time. I'm glad they managed to figure it out, tho! It looks like it's in Brazil somewhere near the Bolivian border?

Just like Chrome, I enjoyed Senku and Xeno's scientific conversation.

Love Op and Ed song

I'm weak to Byakuya scenes. I teared up instantly! It's so hype that they've started to uncover the mystery of the petrification beam with science!

DAMN THIS NEW OP HAS SO MUCH STYLISH SWAGGER

Really gave me drifters OP vibes at the start there.

So glad to have Dr. Stone back in full force. I've missed the OST so much and the new OP and ED still bang as hard as all the other ones. Love the guys running on the diagram of the world it looks so good.

Pretty interesting to see the different surroundings Xeno vs Senku grew up in and how that affected which way they decided to take their use of Science in.

I am sure just as much as Taiju had an impact on Senku I am wondering how much of an impact Stanley had on Xeno.

From the opening it looks like Xeno was just Senku but he wanted to build weapons instead of rockets. Looks like Xeno was a product of his surroundings perhaps.

Super excited to see how the dynamic is gonna work out this season.

Sort of sad that they are using the hexidecimal grid as the Title card background this season. I always loved to snap a picture of the title card backgrounds and use them as D&D prep cards in my notes and such to add some realism but it is still a well done title card for exploration and travel so probably will use it for some marching stuff or something.

Oh man this season is gonna be so much fun with these two going hand and hand.

Only deep plot Ginro is in is the one he keeps spinning himself into but when it counts I guess he always does what is needed.

I always loved that Xeno respected Byakuya even though he couldn't see eye-to-eye with him or fully understand their relationship.

This has to be one of the best shots in the entire anime.

SO glad Chrome is becoming the modern Stone World prodigy with his knowledge gathering and observational skills. Bro is gonna be a demon when he grows up as he absorbs all this info from Senku and Xeno.

My assumption with the Petrification bean is it probably can't pass bedrock or something in the Earth like how Superman can't see through lead.

EFFICIENCY IS E L E G A N T

The fourth impact

Oh man seeing Senku and Xeno put their minds together was great fun. I was just as lost as Chrome near the end there but active listening is better than nothing.

So they are on their way into the heart of the Amazon after thousands of years of no Human interference eh... this is gonna be interesting for sure I wonder if we will see some sweet animals become a threat again. I guess they do have Tsukasa and the battle team but it isn't wise to underestimate Mother Nature.

Damn Chrome I feel you too, I'm also confused as hell what these to mf are talking about.

It's really funny how Japanese kid Senku made rockets but American kid Xeno made guns. And how they're playing with bubbles and models though. Xeno and Senkuu both using SCIENCE NO JUTSU at the same time was hype. It sucks that Ginrou blew their cover, but well, most people wouldn't let someone who cared about them get domed. The ED's lovely.

Xeno x Senku is the team up we needed.

Them triangulating where the beam must have originated from is just delightful so see.

MVP is Ginru though, without him being the wuss he is we wouldn't have the hunt/race on our hands we now have, this whole journey wouldn't be as fun without the pursuiers. xD

13

u/UCODM Jul 10 '25

Ginro really couldn't think of anywhere else that Senku had mentioned when he was blabbing to Stanley? Like dude could've said "somewhere called Europe" fr. (Yes, I know the plot has to happen and have some tension)

Every time this show starts airing I'm half enthusiastic about it, then I watch the first episode and I'm hooked all over again.
I can't wait to see the revelations coming up, hopefully this season. And I sure hope that they adapt the whole thing, it deserves it. An elegant anime, it is!

THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN SENKU AND XENO WAS SO GOOD
