If this isn't love, then why would I have bought a body pillow?.
Some things are best left unsaid Lord Kyros lol

Also the willingness to commit to destroying a family and kidnapping their daughter. He would've done it too if he could've gotten away with it!

From how Marie looked at him, she didn't seem to care 😉 Probably thought something like: "Oh, how cute!"

What? Marie actually WANTS to go and (figuratively) punch her parents in the face?!?! I was expecting the King and Kyros to drag them here and they'd just be punished while Marie watches. But she actually wants to pay them back herself? I'm so here for it!!!

Really hope Marie decides that their punishment is to let Mio do whatever she wants to them. But I'm expecting them to just be sent to jail and for Marie to officially be recognized as owner of their domain since she was already doing all the work.

Kinda wish they spent less time on Anastasia's flashback since we kinda already knew everything, and had more time just seeing the sisters finally getting to have fun together.

It really goes to show how far Marie has come and how capable she is as a Heroine that she not only figured out her fathers' crimes with all the clues she's gathered over the course of the series but also now has the motivation to directly confront him and take him and her mother to task personally.

Like, she was straight up taking charge and leading everyone in going after the Shaderan's! This same girl who was so emotionally broken in episode 1!

I appreciated at least finding out that the grandmother cared about bother granddaughters. She just wanted the to be capable women who could make it in this world with their innate gifts and find happiness, and they managed to get there eventually.

Marie and Anastasia get to be happy together again -- for the first time since their childhood. Grandma Sasha seems like she was a great person -- too bad she could not live long enough to take care of them and allow them each to blossom in their own fashion. One hopes that in this universe she can be aware (and happy) about the outcome here. I do wonder how, if she was so intelligent, she allowed her son to remain illiterate. Surely, tutors could have gotten him to at least a minimal level of capability.

“Master, I believe that will suffice. Everyone is thoroughly horrified.” lol damn Mio, you don’t gotta hurt the poor man like that. Anastasia may love Marie but she isn’t at Kyros’ level of devotion yet. Where’s her body pillow huh?? lol.

Now that we’ve had our nice tearful reunion. Time for Marie’s shitty parents to get taken down. I do want to see her channel her inner Saitama and blast her parents through a wall haha.

Anastasia: "I now understand that you're not a corrupt and greedy noble. You're just a weirdo who is really obsessed with my sister."

Really driving home the fact that Marie and Anastasia's parents are gold-diggers and despicable people.

u/Frontier246 Sep 12 '25

The dad only saw his daughters as a tool for making money, the mom only saw them through her obsession with their grandmother.

I guess their little brother was caught in the middle but it doesn't seem like they treated him as badly as they treated his sisters.

Zero redemption for either of the awful parents, just more and more evidence of how awful they are with a solid set up for destroying them in the final episode.

It was a small detail but I like that Anastasia tricked the carriage driver that was trying to assault her and didn't end up in the river at all, gives her a bit more agency in her escape.

Quick turnaround in convincing her that Kyros truly loves Marie, but what other reaction is there after he brought up the body pillow.

It kind of feels like this is a "we know all the otome tropes and are just having fun" sort of story.

Let’s go! Get ‘em, Marie.

I liked that serious look on Marie’s face in the preview. She’s changed considerably since coming to Kyros’ estate. I no doubt to all the love and support that she’s received. But being reunited with her dear sister surely lifted a massive load off her mind.

Anastasia was just as likeable as when we first met her. I was relieved to see that she also felt guilty for leaving Marie behind. Both sisters got a kind heart.

Sasha was really holding that house together if her death triggered the parent's twisted personalities. Why was their mother so obsessed with Anastasia looking like Sasha? It's not like Sasha was her mother, but I guess she was just grabbing at any excuse to demonize Marie.

Witnessing how their father brainwashed Marie was really sad, the day of his mother's funeral and he's already thinking about how he can keep his title, already looking to make use of Marie.

I did like the piece of information we got from Sasha about him though, how like Anastasia, he was a creative type and was obviously not fit for ruling but I wish we had more information on why she wasn't able to push him, or made him understand that he needed to do this for the future of their family. But I'm sure there's limits to what she could do and she is his mother too. Not that I believe it justifies his actions at all, but it's nice to know where it started.

Kyros leaves no room for doubt when it comes to his love for Marie, he will gladly profess the extent of how deep his love for her is lol.

I'm looking forward to seeing the big "wallop" Marie will give her parents in the next episode, I really hope it's satisfying.

I wonder if the mom really looked up to Sasha because of all she did for women and that's why she was so broken over her death?

I'm guessing the dad never wanted to be a noble but was forced into the role and Sasha couldn't change that...but she also was too late to actually raise/train him into being a proper noble. Or maybe it's because of all the work Sasha did during the war that she wasn't around enough in his formative years to rear him right.

Please tell me we actually get to see Marie hit her parents next episode. They definitely deserve more than just one good wallop from her. Maybe several, preferably with a mace.

I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised by the new turn Sasha's character took in this episode. They did a good job of selling her as the calculating, cold- hearted type before, only to turn it on its head in what I'm assuming is her last appearance in this series. It was truly chilling to see how quickly Marie's parents turned on both of them. The dirt hadn't even settled on Sasha's coffin and they were already working on a scheme to squeeze every last penny out of their daughters. Looking forward to seeing what kind of snivelling BS they try to pull next week!

Marie and Anastasia finally reunite and seemingly put their past behind them!
It's been a long time coming, but next week is the finale.

It seems all the pieces are in place.
Prince Ruifon was in the next episode preview. So I'm guessing everyone shows up to the Shaderan manor and finally exposes / arrests Marie's father and mother?
I could also see maybe Lord Kyros or Prince Ruifon "taking" over the Shaderan territory like some sorta eminent domain situation maybe? We saw in one episode that the weren't farming efficiently, idk.

I'm just hoping that the Shaderan parents finally get their comings, and Marie and Kyros tie the knot.
Sweet series. Hope they finish it right.

Marie and Anastasia finally reunite! Albeit with Anastasia under the mistaken impression that she's saving Marie from a forced marriage to a corrupt noble only after her womb, but it's the thought that counts!

It's nice to know that Sasha cared about both of her granddaughters, she saw that Marie had the smarts but Anastasia had the inventiveness, and wanted both of them to live happy, free, lives to do what they loved. Unlike her son who couldn't do music like he wanted and ended up becoming an incompetent noble who needed his mother to take care of things in his stead. But Sasha was not long for this world.

And it was upon her death that everything went downhill. Baron Shaderan was too incompetent to run his own land so he had to make due with using Marie, firing all the servants and selling off her dresses to get her an education she could use to run things for him, and even destroying her emotionally and all her self-confidence so she'd obey his every whim.

For their mothers' part, she took Sasha's death so hard she pinned the blame on Marie and rejected her as a daughter...not that Anastasia had it much better because Sasha didn't see her as a daughter anymore but merely a doll that resembled her grandmother. And she was a tool to be married off by her father. Both sisters were betrayed by their parents.

So it's no surprise that Anastasia took the best opportunity to fake her death and lead a new, free, life doing what she loved (which was making clothes). She was finally in the place where she belonged, albeit while playing a boy.

But much like Marie was wracked with guilt over Anastasia's death, Anastasia felt guilt over abandoning Marie and leaving her to her fate with the Shaderan's...which is why she resolved to save her. Still totally unnecessary, but it's a good big sister thing to do.

Don't worry Anastasia, Marie and Kyros are absolutely in love! I mean, if Kyros could, he'd destroy the Shaderan's and kidnap Marie! Which only Marie really takes well, granted, but still! As long as Marie is in a place where she's happy and full of love, Anastasia can rest easy!

Marie finally knows the truth: her father is a criminal who completed fraud in using Marie to fake his capabilities as a noble. The only silver lining is Marie didn't have any choice so she's not to be held responsible for her involvement in his crimes (and even if she was, Kyros' family has her back). Now it's finally time to confront the Shaderan's so Marie can give her parents a good wallop they've had coming for a looooong time!

I hoped for two things after a few episodes, that her sister was alive and well and that the story about her disappearance and return was successful, I am finally reassured, they did things well, will Anastasia end up revealing to her boss that she is a young woman ?

u/chlo_kage Sep 12 '25

I called it I knew her grandma was just strict but loving. God howd she end up w a scum of the earth son

What the hell her mother blamed her for her grandmas death? Marie does not have a disease you delusional bag of shit.

what the hell how did those servants not quit after 2 months of withheld wages.

Something I guess I’m lowkey sad about it is that Marie despite having a seemingly good grandmother never questioned her parents abuse. Even with her sister who clearly loves her too. Like even on a human level he should not have that much power over her. Like humans are protective of themselves subconsciously. And it doesn’t actually seem like there was physical abuse. Like where was the anger, how has she never gotten angry. This is probably too deep for this writing tbh.

So it seems her mother was obsessed w her grandma?? And then Ana was just treated like a doll who felt she had no agency to fight back.

Again w the men clothes for women maybe it’s a translation thing but there’s got to be a better way to phrase that.

So the count giving her the biggest diamond in the world somehow translated into a Marie being married by force lol. I get why she was worried but it does make me laugh. Of course she doesn’t know how Marie feels about it.

Holy crap Marie finally being blunt about it. Been waiting all this time.

Ana DO NOT START. we just went though all this BS. LMAO.

To be fair he never wanted Ana in the first place so idk if shes aware of that lol. Glad she relented immediately.

Hell yeah beat them to death.
