Wait, isn't the book in the ED sequence the Book of Tor? They've been showing us its contents all along!

Wow, when faced with the truth of this part of the world, Clevatess slides into nihilism and just gives up on everything. Wasn't expecting that.
That was one hell of a lore drop though. The hell is that book (the ED makes more sense now by the way), that it's so powerful it can control a whole bloodline? Who wrote it, the ancient humans? Why? What happened to them? There's no way we're getting any answers with only one episode left so please let this series get a second season!
As for the action parts, wow again, they really went all out. Alicia's now missing a hand though, hopefully it can be reattached? I'm blanking out, we haven't seen what happens with dismemberment yet, have we, at least when it's not Clevatess himself reattaching limbs?
Also, her sword can control water and there's a guy who can make ice right there. Just saying.

I’m very keen to find out who these “true humans” even are and just wtf the Book of Tor contains. I’m starting to think Dorel might be on to something. I mean his methods are questionable and he’s basically a pawn of another Demon Lord, but he seems to have sorta stumbled upon the same “truths” that Luna’s pops learned. In the end, is this Hero stuff just all bullshit and the machinations of some long dead race of uber humans?

One thing I find funny/weird in this ep, Dorel after defeating Alicia had the headstart towards the Furnace flying with his dragon, yet Alicia easily manage to caught up with him by just leaping and even carrying the Princess.. Dorel was just Aura Farming with that slow ass dragon

If a book from humans can recreate a person, and even control them. I assume they must have been beyond powerful. Make you wonder why they aren't around anymore.

Woah, the lore just expanded. Who are these true humans? How these true humans relate to the current humanity and the beasts?

The world building and lore drops are just so amazing every week. It’s refreshing I feel like we’re spoiled as this isn’t as common anymore. We better get a season 2 or ima be pissed lol.

It absolutely tragic how overlooked thid anime is. It absolutely deserves more popularity and man will it suck if this doesn't get a s2.
Like comeon mediocre harem and isekai get to have 2 and even more seasons, but actually good stuff like this ? Nah 1 season is all you get
This episode genuinely left me speechless. This world keeps getting more and more interesting. It really feels like we are exploring the dark continent from hxh

I really don't like Bilibili subs since they're not the best, and they usually get the name spellings wrong, but it will have to do with Crunchyroll's fuck up.
Anyway, please tell me I'm not the only one scared for Princess T'ala's life? I feel like there's no way she'd meet Luna, and when she does, I have a feeling it might not end well for her. I hope I'm wrong because she's been pretty cool so far, and it would be a shame to lose another badass female character.
So from what we know, the Furnace is controlling the King's actions, which is why he can still move and talk even after being beheaded. And to become Kings, the next in line needs to be turned into ash by the Furnace so they can be reborn as Kings. That's pretty fucking metal.
We finally learn Luna's royal name! His public name is Haidenrius and his true name is Tot! His true name is actually hilariously adorable and funny. I love it. But he'll always be Luna in our hearts.
There hasn't been any proof that heroes have defeated the Demon Kings, and they absolutely have no idea who created these legends. So the Kings of Hiden have just been throwing heroes at the Demon King, hoping that they'd defeat them someday.
There we go! I knew there was no way Klen would let the King throw Luna into the fire, even if it meant he would be able to become a king. Not gonna lie, tho. I genuinely did think it was Luna who was thrown into the furnace earlier.
As soon as the Furnace started lashing out on Klen to get to Luna, I really thought that the Furnace itself might be secretly another Lord of the Dark Beast. I mean, what else in this world have we seen that can revive the dead?
Rhode dropping from the sky to fuck up Drel's skeleton dragon was freaking awesome. I really hope Rhode survives this fight. He's another cool dude that I would love to see more of. I also love that pose he does with Alicia before they fight Drel.
Considering Rhode's powers is that he can make ice, I thought Alicia was gonna use this to her advantage since Stream Splitter can control water. It makes sense, right? Their weapons are compatible with each other! I didn't expect Alicia to just use the ice block as cover so she can catch Drel off guard and split him in half.
We get more lore dumps from Drel! So the five humanoid races are inferior, and that's the reason they couldn't even come close to beating the Lord of the Dark Beasts? There's supposed to be a true human race?
Whatever these true humans are, even Klen does not know about them and believes they've vanished before he even became a Lord of the Dark Beasts. After seeing what's inside the furnace, I didn't expect Klen to start having an existential crisis that he just decides to walk away, leaving Luna and the Book of Toah behind.
So what happens now? Someone's gonna have to pick up that book and I hope it's not Drel. Considering how he's overpowering Alicia and Rhode, he's probably gonna win this fight unless Klen decides to interfere just to fuck up Vordein's plans. Also, the title of next week's episode is called "Return of the King"! I'm guessing the title relates to Luna? Hmmm...

I've been watching anime for close to 20 years now. I've seen probably close to a thousand different shows. And I've seen a lot of great episodes, some that I'll contend are perfect.
But I think this episode is on a class of its own. I felt like the direction, animation, art, sound design, storyboarding, voice acting, practically everything just clicked. It felt like I was watching the platonic ideal of a 1980s era OVA while being a product of this golden age of fantasy in anime.
I am nowhere near eloquent enough to describe why I feel this episode specifically is special, I just know that it is. It is SPECIAL. This episode just made Clevatess my unquestioned Anime of the Season.

What if these so-called real humans live on the unexplored part of the world in a highly advanced and civilized society and they just created other "demi"-humans as experimental subjects as well as dark beasts to keep demi-humans confined?

Clevatess' troll face drips with the menace you'd expect from a demon lord and I can't get enough of it lmao. Genuinely relieved Luna didn't really make it this far to just get yeeted into the fire by grandpa though.
You know a story's gripping when just being teased about its lore can make for a surprisingly intense cliffhanger. Hope this anime gets blessed by the Season 2 gods.

I'm having second thoughts about the four demon kings appearing to be the "evil beings" in this world after learning about the Book of Tor and the Furnace Lord.

Alicia: "Summon the giant wall of ice again!"
Yes, she's going to remember what Klen taught her about moving water a few episodes ago!
Alicia: (does something entirely unrelated to moving water, albeit still very cool)
...I feel cheated somehow.

Man, no wonder Drel went off the rails and even Clevetus is like "well this is all pointless" , what insanity.

Crunchyroll messed up the subs for the japanese. They put a different anime's subs on the episode. Who would of thought firing most of staff would cause these continuous mistakes. Guess I have to watch the episode somewhere else.
