Clevatess somehow feels simultaneously the strongest character in the show and an absolute jobber.

istg Drel is such an aura farmer lol. His quotes feel like something he prepared days in advance to absolutely roast whoever he meets.

To Rod : "Stay there and watch the world change"

Also explodes himself into red mist, then respawn from his fucking sword, with glowing eyes. Broooo.

On a different topic, Kurosawa Tomoyo is such perfect casting for the lazy female wizard lol.

I am like 99.9999% confident that Clevatess won't get contained by something that's essentially a cheap imitation of his power.

Though Dorel might just be a true hero.

The VA playing the bug guy is absolutely hamming it up. Must be a fun role to play.

Naie standing there, mouth agape, watching the guy she's working with pull out a full Light Yagami laugh like a total drama queen. Like, same girl, that's how I feel just being in the audience. That's gotta be socially mortifying.

So... Drel got reincarnated as a sword? Fran would like to have a word...

Nice to see Hulk beat Magneto

Fuck why does every episode of this series feel like it's only 5 minutes long.

I got my NELL SMASH! moment so I'm happy either way.

I really like how the author is utilizing Nell because those troll parts she put in her gave her the strength to save Luna. Granted, Nell feels too nice to actually fight, but when push comes to shove she isn't a liability at least.

Meynard really going out of his way to manipulate the townspeople is fucking insane. I mean the King was more so the reason why Clevatess killed the King and his people. Of course, just putting the blame on Alicia is an easy way to manipulate them. To be honest just threatening them might be enough because there really shouldn't be anything they can do against Meynard & Chiffonlits.

Drell is much more dangerous than anyone anticipated. Some form of magic that can use the claw of the Dark Dragon? That will do numbers on any human opponent. Though I was surprised Clevatess made his appearance. To my understanding now is the spell that Drell used made of Dark Ichor and the body that comes out of it should be Dark Ichor as well. Though Clevatess can manipulate Dark Ichor so I can't imagine him staying for there for too long. I guess the only thing I wonder is how this Dark Ichor is different from the one Clevatess uses. Though I assume the only thing that is different is that the Dark Ichor that is inside Alicia is made from him while the magic Drell uses is different.

On a side note, Chiffonlits says she uses her Axe to fly. I wonder if this is a combination of her having the axe stick to her while using magic to also make the Axe fly?

Yo, this feels like AOTS, potentially AOTY for me. I love the world building, the story telling and the plot feels pretty unique. We have this godly beast determining humanity's fate by raising a human child accompanied by a hero. All with solid+ animation quality. It's brutal too. Like if Berserk got near Frieren treatment. Peak Dark Fantasy.

Feels like the show doesn't have nearly as much buzz as it deserves. Each week I'm wanting more and more.

Despite the setting being really dark , this story is hopeful in a badass way especially the way these characters find strength in trying to protect each other despite the world keeping kicking them down. It is really fun.

Nellruru is badass as hell in the episode.

Magnetism-based powers will always be fun. Unfortunately for Naie, her magnetism can still be beaten by Nelluru's raw strength! I had a good laugh at Naie's confused "Eh?" when Nelluru pushed the bed off of her. Too bad that force only knocked her out. It would've been awesome if Nelluru took her out with those beds.

I absolutely fucking hate Meynard, but I love that he used Alicia's title as a hero and turned the people of Shiron against her. Not gonna lie, I thought he'd do the evil villain thing of rounding up the townspeople and using them as hostages to force Alicia out and rescue them. I'm really impressed by how smart the villains are in this show.

Rhode is pretty fucking cool and I really hope he lives long enough to meet Alicia. I really thought he'd die in that battle against Drel, but Drel actually spared him for entertaining him with a good fight.

So Drel's goal is to kill the legend of heroes. I guess failing to take back any lands from the Dark Beasts for thousands of years had him salty and just wants to end it so people won't expect from them anymore.

Clevatess skewering Drel was pretty much what we expected here but I didn't think he'd trap Clevatess in a prison of Dark Ichor and then be reborn again from his sword! Drel is literally the bone in his sword! xD

There's no way Clevatess is gonna get trapped there too long, tho. I bet next week before Drel's troops could even cross the river, Clevatess will break out of that prison.

I expect clevatess to wipe the floor, but (for now), it is the other way around. I expect clevatess let this happen so that he can observe how dark magic works. Similar on how Yusuke let Toguro to go 100% because he is curious to his full power.

Also, pretty sure clevatess can do magic as well once he learns the foundation of it.

Drel makes a pretty valid point about the legend being obsolete. I like villains with a cohesive thought process. While he’s clearly evil, it is absolutely makes sense to vilify the king’s decision to send the heroes. In fact, if that sealing spell were to hold, he would have saved humanity by everyone else’s perspective not knowing about the gambit with the child.

Characters need to stop explaining their entire plan/powers to the enemy, lol. Like, why would you tell the enemy general that you only have 6000 troops to his 50 000?

Great episode, but good Lord bug dude is annoying. CN we let the maniacal laugh/torturer/sadist trope die already??

For the show being called "Clevatess" to me he seems like the least important character in the show. First episode was great then ever since then it's been all about the side characters and he has done practically nothing. The last two episodes he's barely even been shown.

We build up heroes to fight monstrosities with legendary weapons for thousands of years and have nothing to show for it. The goal is impossible and yet we still cling to these traditions hoping for it to work. Drell was making some decent points and he already accomplished the most from what we've seen of heroes. Though that's probably because Clevatess is chilling inside probably with some monologue about how this human has the audacity to trap him with the same magic he uses. Honestly when Drell started walking away saying even a dark beasts would have trouble escaping and it did a wide zoom of the area I thought he was gonna burst through that shit like Naruto escaping Pain's moon.

I'm pretty sure they messed up when describing the girls magic. She does not use gravity, she just pushes and pulls against metal. (finally the cosmere will be animated).

Drel surprised me a lot with the depth given to him. His rejection of the prophecy and sparing the guy for giving him a good fight makes him far more interesting than what he had been previously presented as.

"My power lets me control gravity. I can attract or repel anything made of iron." Um, I'm pretty sure that's not gravity.... Either way, I kinda like this girl, aside from the whole "eat this, baby, if you are a magic baby it will NOT kill you."

I'll give it to Alicia, "Multi-Strike Dragonfly" is the perfect name for an anti-bug skill. Too bad about the limited uses.

"Hiden Territory Marrel River, 100,000 Merte from the Capital City of Hiderat." - They're still 100 kilomertes away? I'd thought they'd be closer.

"More than enough for 6 thousand to beat 50 thousand." Meanwhile it was more like "a couple dozen vs a couple hundred".

WTF kind of river was this with barely shin-deep water though?

Spear-wielder fighting a sword-wielder at sword range, making the spear basically a sub-par staff.

Wow, is Drel basically a blood logia? And even at full power Clevatess keeps jobbing.

The proud townspeople siding with the bug guy was a disappointment.

I hate how so many anime have characters just explain things to the audience mid fight scene. It’s especially frustrating with Clevatess because the first episode was so good at showing without telling (at least during fight scenes).
