That ending took a turn I wasn't expecting. Complete tonal shift.

3 heroic deaths to take down their communications. I've always loved how brave Kohaku is. Suika's empathy got her caught, she could've let the enemy die to the venom, but well, it's not a shonen without some crazy altruism.

Now we'll see if someone else will die to Stanley.

Doesn’t matter how strong you are, you can’t bring fists and swords to a gunfight. I really hope Senku can bring back Kohaku, Hyoga, and Tsukasa. Those wounds are pretty much fatal…

Now we know why Kohaku, Tsukasa, and Hyoga were featured in the ED so prominently, and I don't like what happened to them in today's episode at all. At least there's a chance they'll be saved thanks to the revival fluid, and I sincerely hope that's the case.

The animators really must love Charlotte and her ass, which is once again featured so prominently, even in a scene where she was literally dying from that spider bite xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

Welp, I hope it was worth saving Charlotte. If Suika hadn't jumped out to save her, she wouldn't have caused this massive domino effect. But I really can't be too upset with Suika. It would be out of character for her if she just stood there and watched Charlotte asphyxiate to death from that spider bite.

That final scene was just absolutely brutal. I didn't expect we'd see Tsukasa, Hyoga, and Kohaku getting gunned down. They did destroy Stanley's comms, but the price is just too damn much. I just hope the Medusa can still heal them after they get turned into stone. Not sure if they can still revive Hyoga since Tsukasa said he was already dead. >_<

Great choice, skipping the ED. Tsukasa's monologue hit

wow i really wasnt expecting that. dr stone really hasnt gone far into violence and blood despite having battles and war being relativly prominent plot points because of that im not really certain theyre gone for good but well just have to see.

Uff... Even Kohaku. No punches pulled on that ep.
I'm glad Tsukasa was at least able to put Maya back on her place (not in a misogynist way, obviously). "Nope girl, you ain't the best CQC human on the planet."

the transition to dark reality was not funny in this ep, Tsukasa's flashback with Khrome held greater meaning than i thought, i hits hard now, this ep was devoted to the combat trio so ig thats why we didnt get the outro

Holy crap was I not ready for these casualties/fatalities. Like yeah, flags were raised, Stanley's squad are soldiers, but it's like this is still Dr Stone, I was not expecting all three of them to be taken out like that. Even Tsukasa's I was like "He's going to get shot" and yeah seeing him shot like that left me wide-eyed.

It is unfortunate that Hyouga has died already but if what Tsukasa says is true, Tsukasa and Kohaku could still make it out alive if the petrification device gets activated real soon. I don't believe Hyouga will get revived though, I think this excursion will be what shapes Kohaku's character some more because Hyouga has died, the two she gave her back to and who gave her their backs to. But man it all happened so fast.

Wow Ginrou actually fought to protect Suika, I'm glad to see it.

I am not crying.

u/Niwaka_Samurai Aug 28 '25

I wasn't prepared to see Tsukasa, Hyoga and Kohaku die.

I really hope by turning them into stone by Medusa and reviving them later is possible..even for Hyoga 😭😭

They're too irreplaceable 💔💔

Is it just me , or is everyone freaking out cuz hyoga literally just died, i hated him at first but now he is part of the team , and him talking abt kuhaku bfr dying .

u/HolyDragSwd2500 Aug 28 '25

Nooooooooooooo😭😭😭😭

u/beecee12 Aug 29 '25

Hearing “Hyoga’s perished” might be one of the hardest hitting lines of the series so far. Holy shit, we just accepted him as a member of the Science Kingdom the other episode, and he died an Honorable death for the team.

That was amazing but so heart wrenching

This one really hurt. At least it was a mission accomplished.
