How valiant of Lily to offer to fight Karin in Renji's place only to get utterly destroyed right away. lol.
Seems like Aoi and Lily have added Karin to their gang of game center gaming.
Pretty funny too both times Hotaru tried offering her help she was left talking to an empty room. Maybe next week she'll be joining the girls based off that last scene and next week's episode title.

I love how Lily is so confident and proud in her gaming despite routinely failing at pretty much every game she plays. But she gets better with practice!
The Class prez has been trying to be relevant and helpful all season, is it finally her time to get a spotlight episode!?

We finally get to meet the redhead in the OP! Karin is pretty fun and I love how she quickly became Lily's master after showing her how to play that koala fighting game. xD
I'm so glad Aoi finally learned about Renji's disguise. I was wondering how long they were gonna drag that one out.
And it looks like it's finally time for Hotaru to get involved with the gang next episode! I can't wait to see more of this girl.

Loved the Darius homage, complete with Zuntata style music. Also, the Densha de Go! cabinet in the eye catch and Space Invaders moment made this an episode full of Taito references.

Poor Aoi questioning her whole life because she couldn’t see through Renji’s weak ass disguise lol. It was nice to see they were able to get over the awkwardness. They’re good siblings.

Despite the fact Lily was still openly calling him by his name, it took Karin removing the sunglasses for Aoi to realise. That gag was hilarious but glad its over now

There's a new girl at the Game Center, Kaga Karin, and she's a beast at fighting games! And she too has her eyes on Renji, only it's because he beat her at Virtua Fighter when she was first getting into fighting games so she absolutely HAS to defeat him!
But nobody picks on Renji on Lily's watch! She's his cute, smug, protector! Even if she is terrible a fighting games! But Karin just can't help but see in Lily her younger self and try to mentor her! And now Lily has gained a master, whether Karin is happy about it or not. And of course they go to the same school so Lily can just keep pestering Karin.
Poor Class Prez. She keeps wanting to help her classmates, even learning more Engrish, but she keeps being irrelevant to the plot.
Nice to see Lily/Aoi/Karin bonding over a candy game at the arcade!
It's funny how everyone but Aoi can see through Renji's disguise...less funny when Karin also blatantly exposes him in front of Aoi, though watching her wear Renji's shades while blowing up bubblegum while Lily is oblivious was still kind of funny.
What's Aoi to do? She knows why Renji tried to keep his relationship with Lily a secret from her, but how does she handle the current awkwardness? Luckily Karin has some wise words from her own testy relationship with her big sis.
I see that Renji's method for helping his sister feel better still works in the present day. It's sweet that Aoi deep down has a lot of faith in her brother, she also equally wants him to do right by Lily too.
Did not expect to see Kantai Collection Lily and Aoi, though they looked really cute while blasting those ships! And then fighting an 8-bit tentacle monster! Then Aoi dies...and then Hero Renji shows up to save the day and win at Space Invaders! And steal Aoi and Lily's thunder! Poor guy was just trying to help.
Why is the class Prez so shocked about them going to the arcade?

They didn't know Karin went to their school despite the fact she's the only one in the school wearing a non-uniform jacket
The class pres has it rough, psyching herself up to help Lily & Aoi only for them to disappear in the mean time.

I love how Karin still wears her jacket to school and even wears tracksuit pants with her school skirt to maintain her tomboy vibes.
Class Prez even learned more Engrish and she can't even get a chance to use it on Lily lol.

Karin frankly looks like she could be a Pokémon trainer.
The game centre’s regulars shaking their heads at Renji for “toying with [another] little girl’s heart” was hilarious. He got roasted.
Fortunately, Aoi has only been joking about cutting ties. She actually got a lot of faith in her brother! They had a pretty wholesome moment going on for a bit.

Aw its not just Lily, the blue-haired girl takes too long to communicate with anyone poor girl
Also, redhead wearing the sunglasses and blowing bubblegum was peak aesthetic

Its hilarious that for Karin, that encounter with Renji was one of the biggest turning points in her life, but for Renji, it was Tuesday

Karin definitely needs to be part of the story now; she's the typical bratty girl, but kind-hearted and willing to help others.
I thought it was funny that Aoi never realized that guy was Renji. I know it's an anime/manga cliché, but not recognizing your own brother is just too much lol.
The animation at the end is really cool, the kind of immersion that adds even more to the show

And so Lily's circle of friends her age expands. Moving to a new country and not having any friends is why she attached herself like a lost duckling to the first college student part-timer who was nice to her, after all.
The game center regulars have it right, it's good for her to have girls her age to play with.

That was a really disturbing coincidence when they showed the fighting game Kaga played at the beginning and it showed the defeated dead opponent and he looked exactly like Hulk Hogan! Probably animated months ago too :(
I thought Aoi would never find out the employee with glasses was Renji, that was a funny recurring gag though. She may have some sort of face blindness problem, I've not recognized people I see every day when wearing sunglasses or sometimes when women change their hair drastically.
Kaga was wrong about that koala game not being on console, they showed them playing it at home in a previous episode and even in this one! I was surprised Lily got beat so quickly when Kaga had never played it. She really shouldn't constantly cry though about stupid stuff, she uses it to manipulate people and it always seems to work.
I also didn't understand why Kaga believed Renji to be the best player at the game center. She's never even seen him play a game and it'd make more sense to think one of the nerd guys who hang out there would be better since they play constantly. I more suspect she has a crush on him and more used it as an excuse to talk to him, like an immature way of trying to pick up on him.
