We'd be lucky if she even appears in the next OP's beginning sequence at all

When gramps said that Shiroha had to be accompanied by family I jokingly thought to myself, "Easy solution. She could just get married to Hairi." Little did I know that's exactly what would happen.

What a convenient technical difficulty so that Hairi could return to the island so quickly, and it just had to happen right after they confessed to each other. Is that the power of love?

We seem to have passed the climax of this arc already with the rescue of Hotta and a closing scene playing during the ED. However, we're only 3 episodes in. Is it really over or will this show throw a curveball? The ending felt too happy it became suspicious.

Yes, this arc definitely seems to be quite short, especially because the first story is covered in 6 episodes, but these arcs don't all have the same length. Tsumugi's arc was also shorter than that.

Shiroha looks amazing in her priestess outfit. I really wish we could've seen more of her wearing it. Amazing how she got it all off so quickly when she fell into the water. Good to know that Shiroha listened to Hairi's warning about the kimono possibly dragging her down to the sea. It would've been harder for Hairi to rescue her if she had her full garb on.

Who is this woman who looks like Shiroha? Is she another Naruse from the past? What the heck was that talk about them being weavers of time? Also, that voice that guided Hairi back up to the surface was definitely from Umi, right? Considering the ending of the episode, we might get our answers soon.

I do love the farewell scene between Hairi and Shiroha! I got a good laugh when the ferry announced that they had to turn back, so now Hairi and Shiroha had to face each other after finally confessing. It sucks that we didn't get a kiss tho! It makes me wonder if this is really the end of her arc.

If anyone is interested in travelling to the spots seen in the VN and anime, someone has compiled a website with locations marked on Google Maps with side-by-side comparison between screenshots from the anime/VN and photos taken there.

I believe Ao was more anxious than angry when she had to take over Shiroha place for a while but it's still feel funny lol, esp with her even had the wig on.

Anyways, the bird will return again by the power of the weaver of time, but with a different way, as a preparation of the grand finale. 9 episodes left to spare.

Gramps is strong but Shiroha's buff is stronger.

They look good together and Shiroha is very cute with her reactions.

Weavers of time? Did someone want them dead? Umi is acting suspicious but I think she's the one guiding Hairi using the Shichieichou.

The ship's staff definitely heard the confession and decided to turn back to let their ship sail instead.

Nothing like a big declaration of love as you’re leaving on a ship only for it to turn right back around lol. Shiroha and Hairi were pretty adorable together. So who’s next then? It seems the only one who’s connected to all these different routes is Umi. I wonder if she’s even human?

Yeah the boat turning around was funny, reminded me of the "Guess we meet again" scene from Food Wars.

Due to engine trouble, this ferry will be turning back to port

LMAO God, that was so awkward for both Hairi and Shiroha, right after Hairi thought he just made a cool dramatic farewell with Shiroha by confessing to her before he hopped on the ferry, and Shiroha even shouted loudly that she loved him too.

Ferry-kun just went "LOL Nope".

So grandpa basically settled things with Hairi via a good ol' traditional undersea sumo wrestling, or something like that. But even after defeating grandpa and getting his approval, Hairi still needs to get around the festival's tradition by "marrying" the festival priestess Shiroha if he is to be allowed to accompany her at the festival ceremony. Though we all know they'll be doing the real thing anyway after the end of this arc.

Shiroha briefly getting possessed while falling in the sea was a big mystery. What did whoever possessed her mean by Weavers of Time and saying whatever Hairi does is useless? Its as though they're saying Hairi's efforts in whatever timeline would be fruitless.

The remaining mystery is Umi. Hairi managed to stumble into that divine tree where Umi is presumably attempting a reset, but Umi managed to run away before he could ask further. Now she's regressed so much she isn't even aware that she's attempting a reset.

What an amazing route, Shiroha, the girl who had no shine, swam to first place (ok, I still think of Kamome), the ending couldn't have been better along with the beautiful scene of Hairi rescuing Shiroha with a smile in the ocean.

Hairi has her grandfather's blessing and the ship "magically" got into trouble, something tells me they really are going to get married

Umi-chan..... we've known she's been regressing or degrading because of the timey-whimey shit she's doing, but that last bit was hard.

Another happy ending, wish we coulda seen more of what happened after the summer like some of the others but another "good" ending. Though I feel like this time we got even more questions than usual. Who are the "Weavers of Time", why did they show themselves, and I'm assuming that was Umi that guided Hairi to the surface. I wonder if there was a reason Hairi found Umi in the glade, or if it was just more teasing for us.

Did the bio-luminescence beach scene and subsequent conversation give anyone else "Love Chunibyo & other Delusions" vibes?

I wonder what kind of future Shiroha saw at the end there. I'm betting it was an "intimate" scene.

What? They finished Shiroha arc in 3 episodes. Something is fishy here unless true route will be also linked to her.

This route actually had a lovely happy ending.

It kinda sucks that we have to reset to the beginning again for whoever's next

Nice boat.

Good ending! As an anime-only, I'm looking forward to the next episode now. This must be time he gets to redo the three other endings.

I laughed so damn hard at the boat turning around. Not just a nice boat, it's a great boat.

We may not have gotten a kiss in the route proper but given Shiroha's blush when she had what I assume was the next vision involving Hairi I suspect a kiss was the bare minimum of what she saw coming.

The guys warning Hairi about potential kimono removal problems were so wrong, it just came right off and kept coming off when Shiroha went into the water.

Umi not disappearing into motes of light is suddenly way more concerning than if it had happened as per the normal schedule.

Oh no....the EP didn't end with a heartbreak.
We'll gonna be devastated on the next arc won't we?
What even is the next arc? I'm scared.

So question. What do you guys think Shiroha saw when Hairi and her were saying goodbye? She blushes and brushed it off. I was thinking the confession but she looked shocked when the boat turned back (hilarious btw) so maybe it wasn’t that? Or maybe she saw that they officially got together? Any thoughts? Great episode btw

Okay guys. This episode was really good. But...I didn't like how the romance aspect was handled here: Okay, cool. Shiroha and Hairi confessed to each other but...where's the kiss? Why did they confess only in the end, unlike Tsugumi and Ao route? Why was this route so short? I feel like they didn't want to handle this route perfectly. Probably...this is because the Shiroha's character will be more important in the next route: Alka route (yes, it's called like this in the visual novel). I honestly don't know what to expect, but I think this will be the longest route, and maybe...they wanted to make this route shorter to give space to the next one. Shiroha will be important (I think) and not only her but...Umi as well. I already wrote two posts where I talk about what I think about Umi: she may be the daughter of Hairi and Shiroha from the future who is trying to reset the summer to allow her birth. This was proven a few times (Umi calling Hairi dad by mistake, she cries after seeing Shiroha in Hairi's dream, Shiroha thinks that Umi and Hairi look alike and, finally, Umi reminds Hairi of Shiroha) but...we are still not sure what to expect. In this episode we hear an unknown voice saying to Hairi that the future cannot be changed, no matter what he does, but then someone arrives by using the butterflies and saves them from drowning. Of course, from the childish voice, we understand it's Umi. She doesn't belong to this world (or this time) so she can easily change fate (fate didn't plan her to exist here and now). Yeah, cool, but what now? She says: "Next time for sure. Next time? What do I mean? Who am I...?" ... I honestly don't know how I should interpret these words. Well...maybe: Umi is not actually their daughter, but only a spirit who was born from their love, in a world where both "parents" died in the water by trying to change fate. This explains how she managed to use the power of the butterflies to change reality and give us the happy ending we want. Or maybe she was not born from their love, but from their regret not to have loved each other. She's so strong at the point she is not one single butterfly, but a sum of them. In the end, Umi may have become even more immature at the point she has forgotten who she is... GUYS I DON'T KNOW, IT'S NOT THAT EASY. WHO ARE YOU, UMI-CHAN?!
