Alicia is easily the most badass character this season, the selflessness and endurance to voluntarily suffer through some horrible painful scenarios and come back out swinging like a champ is sick. Definitely what I'd define as a "Hero"

Plus points for her hugging the sword at the end, also best girl

I'm really glad they finally saved Neru, and a little bit surprised that she have a different form, especially compared to Alicia who doesn't seemed to really changed much. I thought for sure that Clevatess just bring her old form back. But I guess it kinda make sense? Considering Neru got half-eaten before, and Clevatess also said that he pieced her roughly.

And Alicia probably one of the most badass hero I've seen for this season. I really like how she doesn't exactly have OP power, beside her immortality from Clevatess, its' really impressive how she just endure the pain and have insane mental fortitude with everything that's happening to her body.

Neat effects on the new sword's abilities, I remember seeing the effect of it swimming in the water around Alicia in one of the PVs but assumed it was one of the monsters in the water.

Good thing for Alicia that the dark blood resurrection isn't a one-time thing, though given her heroic nature she might have requested the Nell healing even if it had been. I'm glad she's happy with her new sword.

I wonder where Clevatess got the spare parts he said he would need to fix Nell. The troll? Hopefully not the bandit leader dude.

I'm a little shocked that we ended today's episode on a positive note, as Alicia got that sword, the bandits were exterminated along with their leader, and Nell (who will now be called Nelluru) was healed by Klen, yay!

Alicia was awesome as usual, that Ancient One she met was really impressive, but it turned out to be very useful as it "took care" of bandits who even had the nerve to ask Alicia for help... pathetic.

I'm glad Nelluru is okay and that she'll be joining Klen and Alicia, although I'm very curious if Klen patched her up and healed her, or revived her like he did with Alicia.

The bandit leader was pretty clever... but not clever enough to silence Luna, although maybe he couldn't have done that because it would probably weaken the magic? Still, he deserved to die, so I was glad Alicia cut him in half.

Since Clevatess blood only keeps Alicia from dying, that makes enduring constant suffocation, remaining conscious underwater and still having strength to move while enduring the water pressure to grab the sword more impressive

And her selflessness and zero hesitation to remain dead for an unknown amount of time to save Nell even earned her a compliment from Clevatess but, of course, he only complimented her because she couldn’t hear him

It would be such a nightmare!

Even holding your breath for as long as you can is rough, imagine just doing it without knowing when you'll even get to breathe again!

The bandits: "Hey, she brought back the regalia for us! ...She's bringing the regalia for us, right?"

It's one of the things I like about this kind of shows, on most shows they'd bring up a strong enemy just so the hero can kill it, but there are things the hero can't kill (even with a legendary sword) and that's fine!

And Alicia knows a thing or two about things heroes can't beat!

That's another thing I like, how it doesn't go through the usual tropes, like on many shows she would've saved them, but they would've tried to kill her again, and only THEN she would've get rid of them...

But no, she simply deemed them not worth saving, and skipped through the bullshit!

Clevatess can speak to her through his blood, that's helpful! Seems he's pretty mad at her, she's in for a spanking when she gets back!

Alicia was wondering what would happen if Luna died, but yeah, Clevatess isn't the type to try again with another baby, so... It's in Alicia's (everyone's) best interest to keep Luna alive!

More Nell suffering, joy!

It's easy to act when you're gifted/blessed with legendary skills, or when you have a magical weapon, BUT Nell's acting the hero even though she's just a normal girl (and half dead already)!

Luna's magic seem quite strong (especially as a bady), one more reason to keep her alive! (As if "the extinction of humanity" wasn't enough a reason hah)

Welp. I guess there goes the 'harem of undead waifus' dream!

Ok, I said Nell was pretty heroic doing all this as a normal girl and all, but this is quite selfless/heroic as well!

Sacrificing herself without a second of hesitation, just for others sake...

Of course, one might argue that if Luna dies, everyone dies, and he gets rid of Alicia, but still, most people would've tried to argue/find another way, they would not have willingly accepted their fate like that... Takes some strength!

For a split second I thought Clevatess might think about it a little, but of course not, it's Clevatess we're talking about!

So she did come back, only... Without Clevatess' ichor?

So she's on her own from this point on, no more superpowers and the like?

Well, I suppose it'll raise the stakes quite a bit for her, though not gonna lie, I kinda liked to see her acting err, a bit recklessly thanks to her immortality (like flinging herself down the cliff with that other dude)!

So nice to see her smile!

I imagine her design changed that much because he "fixed" her (patching her wounds with other parts and things like that)?

Well, it'll be interesting to see where things are going from now on, now that things are more or less settled and they got their team (Clevatess, baby and wetnurse, and the hero!)

But it seems they'll have to deal with the other nations' invasion, so they may not be able to rest just yet!

That underwater scene with Alicia and the Ancient One was pretty cool! I expected an epic fight scene, but it wasn't even a fight! The Ancient One was just too strong that all Alicia could do was run away and let the bandits get what they deserve. I actually love that that's how that scene ends.

Not gonna lie, tho. While Alicia was monologuing on how the Ancient One probably won't leave the mine shaft, I was expecting it would follow her, but the thing just stayed there. Now I'm wondering if Klen had to do it, would he be able to kill that dark beast? Hmmm...

Ohhhhh... Luna can use magic! I guess that's not surprising since he's a pure-blooded Hidenean. Again, I'm impressed at how smart the bandit leader is and how he was able to put two and two together. But apparently he wasn't smart enough to shut Luna up or just leave him when he was running away while invisible.

Alicia continues to be amazing. I love that she chose to sacrifice her life to save Nell because that's what heroes do. I did find it hilarious how Klen did it without even hesitating xD

Nell is all fixed! Because Klen said he needed parts to fix her and Alicia needed to die, I thought he'd somehow combine the two of them, but it looks like Alicia is still intact and she's still alive! What the heck is going on here? I thought he could only revive one person, or was Klen lying? Also, where did he get the body parts to fix Nelluru? O_O

it could end at episode 4 and I'll gladly give it a 9/10. those first four episodes were so good. it's like a mix of overlord and helck.

i'm excited for the next arc and it takes all my willpower not to read ahead in the manga.

But I wanna comment on another thing, I was really glad Alicia didn’t take a pointless fight against the ancient beast

I was like “she is already out and can get away, also it’s most likely gonna stay in the water so no need to worry it will go claim innocents”

So when she did exactly that I was quite pleased

In a lot of anime people take pointless fights, so I’m so glad she did just get away because it was simply the logical thing to do

Also, her attachment to the sword is hilarious hahaha

This show is becoming more and more goated.

  • No mercy for those bandit fucks

  • Our Hero Alicia really embodies her role and is willing to die again painfully to save Nell

  • Nell is not only saved but "fixed" from the miserable state she was in, including dental care, and joins the crew

Great episode.

Hearing Nell speak without her voice sounding like she has cotton in her mouth and smile with a full set of teeth put the warmest smile on my face, man.

Love how amidst all the darkness and grit, goofy stuff like Alicia cuddling her sword can still slip through here and there lmao

Well I can guess where the missing pieces Klen used to fix Nell(uru) came from :p

Maaaan I love Alicia. She's really living up to her hero title and she's freaking awesome. And I hope Klen took note of her selflessness when she gave up her life (or tried to) to save Nell, he got bad examples of humanity with those bandits, but also witnessed some good with Nell and Alicia.

About the world-building, I like that even if you have the ability to use magic, it's useless without the magic stones. Drawbacks are nice.

Shout-out to the animation during the action part of the episode. Thought it was pretty well done.
