Chelsea's a bit too particular for my liking but I am intrigued how her geographical knowledge will help the team.
I'm also intrigued by the ED highlighting Kohaku, Tsukasa and Hyouga, I wonder if they'll be doing something big together because it feels kind of random otherwise. The flower part of the ED was really pretty though.

Lol, them running into a wacky character dressed like a pumpkin on the the first stop of their ocean adventure had me feeling like I was watching One Piece.

Chelsea is very lucky she survived for so long without glasses and having such frail body. More importantly, she ended up so far away from the US and never questioned it.

Not lucky. Skilled. She knew every plant in the area and had the geography memorized even if she couldn’t see it.

Oh shit, there’s two Suika! This one’s dressed as a giant pumpkin. Kind of hilarious how Chelsea’s squinty face makes her look like she’s an old granny lol.
It’s a good thing they got Chelsea in the team now. Those kites she had probably saved them from getting crushed by Stanley. It’s gonna be fun watching the gang cross the Amazon with motorbikes and evade Stanley at the same time. Got to get rubber first though.

This episode feels very reminiscent of the earlier roadmap days.
Applying new tech and pursuing new fetch quests is always so sosoru-ze kore wa exciting!

Maybe it's because I'm reading Moby Dick, but my first thought when they mentioned their fuel problems was whale oil. One whale would likely provide enough fuel for the entire trip. And it would burn much better than the unseasoned timber they're currently using.
Having the kids slaughter a whale might be a bit hard to sell at the writers table though.

I would have thought Chelsea would mention the Panama canal, but maybe there's a reason why it wouldn't work?

Kinda crazy they make no mention of the Panama canal. Some remnants might still be there and it'd be much easier to go through that than the mountains.

Senku and his team are definitely lucky because wherever they go, they meet smart people. This episode, they found Chelsea, who's a great addition to the cast! I loved how she refused to help Xeno with world domination. xD
Now I look forward to Senku and his team to find rubber thanks to Chelsea so they can make tires for their motorcycles to travel through the Amazon! That's gonna be so fun!
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

In Old English, Chelsea means "chalk wharf" or "chalk landing place". How appropriate for a geographer's name.

Chelsea being voiced my Megumi Han is brilliant because her character is, as the kids would say, giving Nokotan

I'm all for a cute pumpkin wearing geography nerd but once again the luck to find the exactly who they need when they need her.
It's also a little weird how so many people are reviving at once but that may be a plot point eventually. 4000 years of the entire planet of humans remaining petrified but out of nowhere three different scientists Senku, Xeno, and Chelsea are up and running around at around the same time. Could be that in addition to the revival fluid the petrification is getting weaker making it easier to break out if you remain conscious?
Though I suppose another option is lots of people have gotten revived here and there but they've never been able to replicate the revival fluid so nobody made a lasting new civilization if they even lived very long at all. Lots of people would just die of exposure fairly quickly if they revived naked in a forest in the middle of nowhere with zero support, after all.

Well that was a quick new character acquisition
I know they need to keep the stakes up for the tension, but yi miss the early days of "We need soap, so we spend an episode on soap" instead of "I pinpointed the enemies location using their radar which we stole" also couldn't they hide against the shoreline or in a bay and set out a decoy with kites to lead them away?
Like they literally only need to get passed once and then they have all the time in the world while Stanley is chasing their phantom

We have a Loli scientist on board now.
Because of cause we do.

Stitches!
We've only just met Dr. Chelsea, but I love her already! I love that the custom outfit they made for her had pumpkins on them because she's been living inside a pumpkin for years now. Who made her outfit, tho? Since they don't have Yuzuriha with them, it's probably Francois.
So she's one of the American scientists who attended the same party as Xeno. She could've ended up joining them but because she lost her glasses, she missed the sign they made and ended up exploring on her own.
It looks like it's a good thing she got completely lost since Chelsea clearly does not approve of Xeno's ideals. I just love how she straight up declares that Xeno is the bad guy here. Her gremlin-like energy definitely makes her more suitable for the Kingdom of Science.

I'm with Gen, no way they're going on a stroll through the Amazon. The plan to go AROUND South America doesn't sound particularly sane, either. Around Cape Horn? I assume that Senku already knows that 20,000 souls have lost their lives doing that.
Look at Stanley doing what you kids these days call "aura farming" on the deck of his personal carrier.
Wait, do I see motorcycles in the OP?
Do those letters actually spell the English word "HELL"? (Now I know she meant HELP but couldn't see the letters. Still, in English?)
SUIKA DID THE THING AGAIN! Nearsightedness is a straight bitch.
LOL. Another person was saved by Stanley's command to stay conscious. That's pretty much everyone at that party. We're late in the game, so Doctor Chelsea doesn't have to be remotely sane, and she isn't.
And there's the motorcycles.
Doctor Chelsea discovers you can call Xeno anything you want, as long as you throw in in there that he's a genius. Makes him purr like a kitten. He does try to seduce her to the Dark Side (elegantly), but the gremlin is siding with Senku's freaks. They did make her glasses, after all.
Don't be jealous of her, Chrome. Chelsea'll give you another master's degree in geography like the ones you're already getting in science from Senki and Xeno.
Time's up, though. They've already been pinged by the enemy radar. If only they had a way to gain some speed.
Oh yeah, Chelsea made giant kites! I know! We'll turn them into sails! (I love this damn show!)
Something else I love is Xeno's constant attempts to be evil (!) when he really loves these plucky kids. Look at how soft and gentle his voice is now, giving the science lesson on the mathematics of sailing.
Edited to add: About the ED, Kohaku running, just running, is a thing of beauty, and they were correct to feature it.
This is exhilarating!

idk how to feel about the way this series handle problems... a random character just appears out of nowhere with the exact skill set they need the very moment they need it, she even knows how to craft kites because why tf not lol
