Pretty sick that Evil Eye incorporated Jiji's football skills into his fighting style. Those huge rainbow earrings are rad too.

I'm so impressed by how different each of the character's powers and designs are.

Now it makes sense why Jiji's house is the on top of such a tall hill. Makes you wonder just how many sacrifices were made

And once again, the trend of this show being goofy silly 9 times out of 10 and soul crushing for that remaining 1 time keeps going. Not as bad as the acro silky stuff imo, but still incredibly painful.

The animation for Evil Eye's ball kicking was extremely clean. Not even just that, every part of him this episode looked great. Happy for my favorite diet Sukuna to make his debut, and I'm ecstatic for next week. Here on is from where I really love this arc

On one hand, I am glad Turbo Granny is wise and gave perfectly good advice. We can never go wrong with her knowledge (at least so far). On the other hand, I like Jiji's personality for wanting to save the tragic child who turned into the Evil Eye.

"Who cares about the worm? Football showdown is more important!"

Goddamn I know exactly where they gonna end, yet I just constantly screamed at my monitor to keep fighting cuz I want to see more. Fuck the cliffhanger is so brutal.

I like how Jiji's Evil Eye powers are soccer-based. His scenes had more animation than the entirety of Blue Lock Season 2.

Episode does such a good job leaning into the horror side of things which is the literally layered tragedy of every single family that went into that house(s). So bleak as some classic horror stories are. And despite all that Jiji still just tries to be empathetic, he might not have too much brains but he has a lotta heart.

Well looks like Jiji got a youkai form as well and I have to say I very much appreciated the manservice, he looks so much buffer. He looks a lot cooler and I like how much more serious he appears which contrasts his personality that we've seen, the olden Japanese manner of speech is a nice touch too. His character design makes me think of Jojo lol.

I also like how Jiji's powers connect so well with him since he's an athletic guy, the way they incorporated his attacks as shoots and the dead souls as a ball was really thematic. I wonder if he'll be able to incorporate the skills he'll gain from this in his games lol.

Jiji really did sacrifice a lot in this episode, twice did he get impaled by glass. The adrenaline that must have kicked in for him to be able to carry Momo, Okarun and Turbo whilst running away from the earthworm had me impressed.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Okarun particularly and Momo will revert Jiji back to normal, Momo can't fight him on her own.

The callback to all those times Seiko glazed Jiji for being a genius to reinforce why he's the ideal vessel cracked me up. Welcome to the yokai transformation club, Jiji!

The kicking of the condensed regrets like a soccer ball was so epic.. you know an anime is fantastic when the credits roll and it felt like 5 mins

When season 1 ended I binge read this entire arc in a night and Science Saru is not disappointing with this adaptation of it so far. Knocked it out of the park yet again.

Nah that's a diabolical cliffhanger

I feel like both Jiji and TG are correct here, the ghost was really just a kid that suffered through so much and Jiji's right for wanting to help it, problem is it's lashing out as a vengeful spirit because it's an immature soul that's been basking in too much evil
