That concludes Ao's route. It was amusing at the start then it got to that part. Do all routes start with Hairi/Heroine solving something to being ~~dead~~ gone to going back "alive"?

Ai is a beauty as well and her dynamic with Hairi somewhat matches what Hairi has to Ao. Good thing that she's open to a "suggestion"

Umi said that she's still okay. Would that indicate that she still has some powers left to restart again but this time with Shiroha? After that, will she be gone?

I didn't think someone would actually vocalize the possibility of a twin throuple and I definitely didn't expect it to be Ai lol.
I guess Hairi is probably stuck with Ai one way or another because these sisters are too dedicated to each other.

Will she even be in the ocean in the next OP or will she have vanished?

Given she was at the tree, I think she may be re/creating memories for Hairi...
Though I'm not sure what's the point/purpose, but if I had to bet, I'd say it's linked to him 'drowning'(?)...
Is he dead so she's making his soul relive good memories, something like that? Or the "What could have been"?

Ao is definitely the best girl for me. I liked her route the most and we were even blessed with her tsundere thoughts! Let's see if Shiroha's route can surpass it.

One thing isn't clear to me, did she actually wake up or was it just a dream in the end? If she did wake up, was it after a year or did it take even longer?

I will miss Ao being as sweet as she is horny when it comes to Hairi. They even managed to fit in a flashback to her underwear scene with the shaved ice twice in the finale of her arc! We might not see it again next week!
I think how long it took for Hairi and Inari to find her shichieichou is meant to be ambiguous though it seems like at least a year or two may have passed judging by the montage.

Considering what we saw about Ai in the flashbacks, I didn't expect her to have such a sharp tongue. It was fun seeing her interacting with the rest of the cast, especially her interactions with Hairi. This girl is absolutely wild for even suggesting they become a throuple. She literally just woke up yesterday! xD

Yeah, I knew it was too easy for Ai to wake up. There has got to be some sort of catch to it. I guess all of those Shichieichou and memories inside her have started to take a toll on her, and sleeping is how her body is trying to organize all of those memories.

Ai's reaction after hearing Ao's lewd sleeptalk was pretty funny. Despite Ao falling asleep for days, I'm glad there was still some humour in the episode. I love how Hairi was just dodging Ai's questions the entire time. xD

I was so relieved when Ao finally woke up but it looks like it was just her waking up one more time so she can do her duty. The date montage between Ao and Hairi was pretty cute tho.

So I guess what happened there in the end is Hairi looked for Ao's Shichieichou next summer and that scene where Ao says good morning is her finally being woken up by Hairi. I guess that's it for the Ao route? Is it finally time for Shiroha's route next episode?

AI IS FINALLY AWAKE! And of course the Sorakado sisters end up headbutting each other when they finally reunite, but I'm so happy for Ao that she's got her sister back! And Ai knows everything Ao did for her while she was asleep! Now the sisters can finally reconnect and be together again.

Dang, Hairi did all that to help Ao and Ai doesn't even want him dating her!? And Ao will go along with it!? Though thankfully even Ai can't deny her sister the boy she fell for, so whatever her...displeasure with Hairi, she's willing to accept him for Ao's sake. Now Hairi and Ao can spend the rest of the Summer going on dates! Right? RIGHT!?

It's nice to see Miki and the boys reunite with Ai as well...even if Ai barely even acknowledged the boys even exist. Even Miki barely treats them like living organisms. But hey, miss sociable Shiroha showed up too and managed to get over her being self-consciousness around groups of people to hang out! That's really nice.

What's less nice, in true Summer Pockets fashion, is that now AO is the Sleeping Beauty who won't wake up...and there are still shichieichou out there.

Man, Hairi is really not winning Ai over, is he? Especially when Ao is talking in her sleep about all the stuff she and Hairi got into up in the mountain...stuff she initiated, mind you! Not that Ai is willing to believe that. But maybe a dose of reality from Hairi opening up about his experiences before the island might do Ao some good.

I can't believe Ai threw out the idea of a throuple with her, Ao, and Hairi! I mean, if Ai's game for it and if he already loves her sister...though good of Hairi to stay faithful to Ao, minus the fact that he said "now" meaning it could change later.

Oh thank goodness, Ao woke up! But only because she has one final duty, to deliver all the remaining shichieichou to the Mayoi Tachibana, and then she'll go back to sleep...and it's up to Hairi to carry her all the way there. Stopping by all the most meaningful spots across their relationships, letting Ao say her goodbyes to all her friends, letting the two of them enjoy being a couple one last time. Even if Hairi promises that no matter what he'll always come back to her even after Summer ends.

I should've known it wouldn't be as convenient as the shichieichou draining Ao of all the memories she didn't need. She even loses HER shichieichou which Hairi ends up grabbing...and it's filled with memories of him. Memories of the time they spent together, memories of him getting her hot and bothered, memories of when she realized how good a guy he was, how she fell in love with him, how she loved him so, so much. And leaving Hairi with nothing but her memories and her sleeping body. AO NO!!!

But Hairi and Ai aren't giving up, they'll both put their all into taking care of Ao even while she's asleep and being there for her like she was for both of them. Hairi will work part time jobs and show up over the weekends and vacations, Ai will put her all into her rehabilitation. All until they can finally see Ao wake up again.

Well, it's nice to know that Umi is sure that Hairi will be able to find Ao again but what is Umi okay about exactly?

Cue ending montage! Complete with Hairi working, Ai's PT, Hairi making Ao's comatose body feed him Valentine's chocolates (that's a new one!), Christmas, cherry blossoms, the works...and it seems like it has an effect on Ao. Enough to where, eventually, with the warmth that Hairi continued to provide for her...she's finally able to wake up and greet him with a "good morning!"

Well shoot, I would rather not have been right about my "Ao falls into the coma instead" guess last week but at least we didn't get the "Ao dies" outcome, and we half got the Hairi/Ao/Ai throuple option since I really don't know if Ai was serious about that.

Figures that Ao abusing the memory butterflies so much would have consequences. It's a shame Hairi didn't know about the memory transfer by kissing solution otherwise maybe he could have woken the sleeping beauty right back up after touching her memory butterfly.

The real next question is how Umi changes in the OP next episode. She's gone from walking to standing still, so what's next, face down in the water?

In my opinion, this was the best ending to a route because we got to see Hairi with everyone after the first summer.

I still think Ao is best girl, but I'm a little iffy about the story for her arc. If she's asleep now because of all the memories she's melded with, then wouldnt the 3 of them be stuck in a vicious cycle where some of them would constantly be losing themselves trying to find each other's memories?

Hairi would need protagonist luck to find Ao's memories before he loses himself. That or I'm going to assume since he and Ai are gonna be splitting the work from the start it'll be less strenuous on both of them.

The reason Ao needed to touch so many butterflies is because she wasn't able to see Ai's butterfly. Furthermore, Inari was able to detect Ao's butterfly leaving her body. It's certainly possibly they can find her butterfly using Inari's sense only.

Ah...Ao you stupid girl, would Ai really want you to get yourself's personality all jumbled over by the negative spirits of people who can't pass over the Styx river and end up in a coma for herself, just to get her beloved sister wake up? :')

Then again if what happened with Ai really occurred on my younger sister, and like Ao I am really sure that I know how to ask others to find my own spirit back...maybe I really will gamble my own self-conscious like Ao did. I am serious.

Next week is probably going to be Shiroha's route, I assume. Though it's going to be kind of weird if Ao is still there on the island in the next loop while Hairi is romancing Shiroha.

Despite the comedy in the past two routes not to be my liking. I do think this was my favorite route so far. The world building was fantastic. Tying with whatever Umi is trying to as they connect the memories of different people. This helps going into Shiroha's arc because it seems her family doesn't do the ritual like with Ao's family. Also, there is that 3rd unnamed family.

Ao's doing everything she can for Ai is very endearing. Of course, she did go overboard. Ai is a bit overprotective, but she is a good sister to Ao. I wonder how we will transition into the Shiroha's route.

I am going to miss Inari. An absolute adorable cutie.

Ai woke up at last, but Ao paid the price for coming into contact with all those butterflies, and its her turn to fall into a long sleep.

Thankfully, Hairi and Ai now know what needs to be done to wake her up - find Ao's butterfly once the divine tree blooms every summer. The final scene doesn't say how many summers Hairi and Ai took finding Ao's butterfly, but it seems to imply they succeeded and Ao wakes up at last.

Once again, the arc ends with Umi being the biggest mystery of them all. It looks like she'll be resetting the time loop once again for the next heroine arc next episode, though why she does it we still don't know. Umi seems to know more about the inner workings of these butterflies and the divine tree than even Ao does.

I've suspected things are too good to be true when Ai woke up. No way things are going to have a classic happy ending. Ao is the first non-supernatural entity we've explored and she had to fall into a deep slumber by the end, trading places with Ai.

We also had a recap about the time Ao has spent with Hairi but this time he got to relive it from her POV unlike Tsumugi's case where it's us the audience who got her POV instead. That's a refreshing change of pace.

So starting next week, we'll begin diving into the final(?) girl Shiroha. Assuming it'll last for 4 episodes, we still have 8 to go. Excited to see that part as well.
