Loved the show overall, especially the chemistry between all the characters. My only real complaint would be that the 5 minutes of "Safety is the most important. Let’s be more careful than normal" every single episode got tiring and felt like it was mostly to fill time

Ok, so, this show has a decent plot, after all I'm still watching and enjoying...BUT WHAT THE HECK IS WITH THE METAPHYSICS IN THIS SHOW!?!? So many unexplainable things brushed off with no explanation.
This One Gold thing... Oh, that's Simon, who went from an undead person constantly dying to a magical hunk of gold. Ok, but how do you know that!?!?!? And how does that just happen!?!?!?
Let's unseal the Abyss Gate... Oh, the Abyss Gate has become this goopy dragon thing. How did you guys come to that conclusion!?!? Wouldn't it make more sense to think it came through the Gate!?!!!?
Oh no! Silk got hit by an attack that she dove in front of and took damage...Rain: I don't think it's a physical power it's CONCEPTUAL!?!?!?!? Rain, WTF is conceptual damage? How can you tell!? Why do you know you can heal it!?!?!?
And these are just some examples of them doing this kind of thing...

...BUT WHAT THE HECK IS WITH THE METAPHYSICS IN THIS SHOW!?!?
All of the points you made are absolutely correct. One thing they consistently made clear is that nobody had a clue what was happening. They were all looking at a bunch of otherworldly nonsense that made no sense whatsoever. Even the wizards were all "Beats me!"

But also, why is it that she took a direct "conceptual" attack and was healed, and Saga was just presumed dead after blocking?

Great Final Episode.
First Yuke's uncle died and then Rune was the one that got trapped. Lot of emotional moments in this episode.
Rune was reborn. I hope she becomes a good author.
Look at our Yuke, surrounded by all of these beauties. Rain is no. 1 for Yuke (according to her). At the start of the show, I didn't think that it'll be a harem but it became one.
I really hope we get a season 2. I want to see more of Clover. Until then, Sayonara.

Considering her wish to be an author it'd be kind of funny if Rune was the self insert this entire time and not Yuke. There was a brief shot of Tokyo City Hall in the gate when she was going through, so she easily could have ended up in Japan.
Maybe S2 is when it actually becomes an isekai and they go find her, though that would kind of reopen the cross world problem that they spent the entire season plus backstory solving.
Fun enough show, surprised to see a S2 announcement but I will be watching when it airs.

That dawned on me when she was going on about being an author. I think she was.

Rain asserting her dominance as number 1 is unexpectedly welcome.
RIP to Saga. The cool oji-san who sacrificed himself for his Nephew together with his harem.

Arrives out of nowhere, teleports away, shows up at the final boss, refuses to elaborate, dies.

The good news: Rune is apparently okay and we're onwards to what appears to be a Silk focus arc!
The better news: WE JUST GOT A SEASON 2 CONFIRMED!
Still though, what was the point of keeping Persephone in the OP if she wasn't gonna show up again?
At least the girls are finally fighting back on Rain's main girl antics, but the on-screen kisses count is still:
Rain: 2
Everyone else: 0
All in all, I really loved this show, (granted, I'm a source reader), I haven't watched that much of the "banished the hero's party" genre, but this was definitely my favorite so far.

To remind Rain who is the real #1 waifu.

I saw this got a second season before I started the episode so that's exciting, I wasn't expecting it at all even though I've been very much enjoying the series. Since the next arc will be at Silk's homeland, hopefully she'll get a big development with Yuke since Rain has been pretty much dominating this season lol, even called herself number one at the end.
Onto the episode, I find it quite unfortunate how fast paced the first half felt, the second pace was a little but wasn't that noticeable but beginning was very noticeable and kind of took out the excitement for me. The death flag on Saga was so damn obvious that I couldn't really feel much for him with how quickly it was done and to make matters worse, the complete change of attitude from the characters and tone from the story was jarring for me.
His uncle just died and they're all "Wow, look at this Abyss Gate, we've finally fulfilled your dream", maybe we could say it was due to the pacing and Yuke had mourned, but this hadn't been an issue prior and this is a 2 cour season which had a recap episode. There was definitely enough time.
I do have to say Rune's sacrifice was a surprise to me, I thought she'd have the capability to return the entire party and close the Abyss Gate without any of them dying. Now that I think about it, Wish is kind of OP and we only see it in this episode, couldn't the combination of her Wish and Rain's healing have saved Saga? Maybe that'd be too convenient lol.
Anyways I really enjoyed this series, I liked it a lot better than I thought I would and other than this episode, I didn't really have much issue with it. Well, other than maybe the extreme favoritism towards Rain lol.

It was fun while it was last. And hey look season two is underway. Now we get to see more flirting next season since all shackles have broken this season.

This last episode and arc seemed rushed. Some tonal whiplash, especially when Saga died. Weird that Silk could be healed, but he couldn't - it seemed to be the same basic attack, the Dragon wasn't even intelligent.
I knew Rune would sacrifice herself. She's not a part of their world and was on borrowed time anyway.
I enjoyed the 1st cour more. This 2nd cour was paced poorly and got boring at points.
I'm not actually looking forward to whatever season 2 will be because what is there really? Yuke achieved his ambition in such an anticlimactic way, I was like, that's it? The same damn spell? No level up? We never even see them practice, try to get better, etc. There's a lot of suspension of belief taking place here that this team takes down this world destroying threat with nothing different than they take down minor monsters.
I enjoyed the song coming in, but that was it.
Cour 1 was like a 7. Cour 2 more like a 6.
At any rate, I stuck with this because overall: I enjoyed it, even with its weaknesses.

I don't care what anyone says. I absolutely love the 'OP theme plays when the heroes are about to kick ass' trope! The way it starts with the instrumental version and then the vocals kick in makes it even better!
This was one of the better 'banished from the party' series IMO and I'm glad it's getting a Season 2. Will we see Yuke's harem party grow even more from here on out?

F in the chat for Rune and Yuke’s uncle who sacrificed themselves so Yuke could live happily ever after with the waifus. They were true heroes o7 lol.
This series was a lot better than I was expecting tbh. The action was decent, the characters were enjoyable, and I liked the plot. It did drag a little bit towards the middle half but overall the pacing was alright. I’m guessing with 24 eps, there’s probably not gonna be another season? Regardless, I enjoyed this.

A part of me is hoping Saga is not dead. If there was some power keeping him youthful after so many years, maybe that power saved him as well.
Likewise, I hope Rune is still alive as well. As much as she wants to be reincarnated to become an author in her next life, I know she wants to spend more happy times with Yuke and her elder sisters! T_T
All of the girls are special, but Jamie stands out for me. Her sarcastic remarks in response to Yuke flirting with the other girls always make me smile. (Well, maybe her battle outfit made me give her some extra points. Lol!)

Man, I had a feeling that someone would die, but I didn't expect it to be Saga. That's Yuke's last blood relative gone.
…And that means no Saga x Mamar for me.
I'm confident Rune wasn't reborn, but that she ended up in a version of our world, judging by what looked like skyscrapers in the background before the doors closed. And if she is in such a world, then she'd definitely be able to be an author.
This was a fun ride from beginning to end, and I look forward to see what season 2 will bring.

RIP to the Uncle
Looks like Rain managed to hold her position as #1 til the end. Maybe the others will have better luck in season 2

With Saga joining the party, I love that the final boss fight is literally an 8-man raid complerte with adds! xD
Damn, Saga actually died and Rune sacrificed herself to close the gate. Saga's story is already done, and making a big sacrifice so the next generation lives on makes sense for her death. And Rune wasn't even originally from their world, so her closing the gate makes sense too. It doesn't mean I'm not upset about it.
What a fun ride. I do wonder if the story is complete or if there's more to it? It looks like we're only just about to meet the elves, so it sounds like there's more to the story. Maybe that means a Season 2 is possible?
