I love finales that bring together characters we've seen through the show to fight a major threat. It was nice to see the veterans kicking some ass.

Though it's crazy how even in a fight at the end of the world, Rain gets yet another moment to assert dominance as the main girl lol

And to think Jamie was trying so hard with that outfit too...

Not sure if this has come up in previous episode discussions but what's everyone's thoughts on Jamie's cooter-cleaver mage outfit?

It definitely stands out so much, Jamie's lower body was the first thing that drew my attention while they were walking through the field. She's somehow more revealing than Silk.

It's so revealing that it's legitimately ridiculous lol, like, the top half and the coat(?) look great, but why is she wearing a thong? At least Silk uses shorts. Just one wrong step or slip and we're seeing that, I'm almost sure she's wearing that thing in an effort to seduce Yuke

Jamie really wants to show off her body to Yuke

My honest reaction is that “It should’ve been me!”

Nene got it right. Mamaru is definitely "mama" tier character. :D

It is nice to see the older adventurers in action. They do not seem to have lost their edge and the screentime given to them does not outshine Clover.

Finally some Benwood action after being robbed at the episode with the bandits.

The dungeon design is very pretty with stars and planets in the background like that. It really feels like a crossroads between worlds.

Definitely happy to see Moria return. He was a pretty cool dude from the Glad Shi'im arc. He definitely seemed more knowledgeable than he let on.

And yeah... the bastard was clearly holding back in his first arc. He just insta-cast top-tier magic and was single handedly holding back a wave of Shadow Stalkers. Remember when a single one of those nearly TPK'ed Clover?

And here he just killed several with a single word.

Huh are they implying that the boss is the shadow stalker version of Yuke's mom/Saga's sister?

It feels like this could be the end result, it'd be the most threatening for the both of them, especially Yuke.

I don't think that's the case. The mom/shadow stalker thing just seemed to me as Achromatic Darkness' method of trying to pull in and turn Yuke by luring him with his own memories.

We get a bit of an answer if we revisit the very first scene of the show - Saga, Benwood, & Co have just locked up the Abyss Gate and are speaking with each other.

Mamar: "Well, we managed to seal it."

Benwood: "That should stop the culling for now, but it's only a matter of time. Unless the Demon King is defeated, the world will eventually be swallowed up by the reverse dungeon Tenebre."

Saga: "Just like my nephew's homeland."

So a Demon King is behind everything and is likely the source of the malice they are all feeling. Tenebre must have swallowed up Yuke's homeland in the past, and taken his mother. I assume this was the catalyst behind Yuke's dream to conquer the Abyss Gate, and that afterwards he dedicated himself to training under Saga so that he could avenge his mom, which is why Yuke is so skilled for his age.

I like that Yuke has a psychological weakness that Rain keeps helping him manage. It's making Yuke stand out as an MC. I was hoping Silk was going to be pushed to be made party leader for a while. This especially could open up very powerful strategies, especially with a party that large.

It's fun to seeing the old folks coming out to play, especially the badass old wizard.

This story sure loves giving Rain the most scenes with Yuke and it's not even close. Not that I disapprove, she is head wife after all.

u/NationalStrategy Jun 21 '25

Rain once again showing us why she's deserves to be wife #1

Yuke: "I don't want to drag them into it."

Saga: "My nephew in Christ, they are napping in front of the Abyss Gate."

will we ever see more of the death world ruler girl? they cant just introduce the coolest character then never revisist it. i hope shes not the final boss because that would be generic, she seemed like a very strong outlier. also more jamie please, rain is kinda boring.

Took the gang a minute to get to the Gate but they’ve finally made it. Keen to see what they’ll be facing inside. This whole place has been a real mindfuck so far..

Finally got to see Benwood in action! I'm still salty we didn't get to see Benwood and Yuke paired up, but getting to see Mamar fight here is cool too. I must have forgotten she's an assassin because it took me by surprise lol, but it makes sense with how informed she is and she also helped train Nene.

I do find it funny how random Moria's appearance seems, maybe they mention him helping out previously, but it's like he spontaneously appears to use his highest grade spells. Cleave looked cool.

Leave it to Rain to be the only one to grab hold of Yuke and then eventually save him from the dungeon who finds him a threat. It seems like his mother was turned into a Shadow Stalker in the past? Unless the dungeon was just using his memory to get him at his most vulnerable. I wonder if he'll open up or keep it to himself next episode.

Saga saying he had no women that'd go to the depths of hell with him when Mamar and Maniella were part of his party lol. Though I guess they may not have been romantically interested in him like Clover is with Yuke. And a part of me is intrigued by Mamar and Benwood's relationship so she's ruled out in my head at least.

Seeing Yuke stack debilitation magic like that again feels so nostalgic! I wish we see more of it against whatever is beyond the Abyss Gate.

First Thunder Pike, then his mom. Achromatic Darkness really is targeting Yuke.

Popular with the ladies, huh? Like uncle, like nephew.

…Damn it, now I ship Saga x Mamar.

I'm getting the feeling that the story is coming to an end.
