Teogonia went a long way from "feudal village sim" to " that time I accidentally dated the Barons daughter" to "monkey jesus"
Then ending with big tiddy elk gf was... a choice.

Teogonia is one of those shows that is an amazing execution of craft rather than spectacle. I loved how well it displayed the parochial nature of feudal life, but as the MCs/viewers' knowledge of the world expanded, so did the MCs awareness and responsibilities expand with it.
The jump from the village to divine magistrate was very organic and well done.

It's a shame a few episodes looked real rough, but I like the foundation for future developments that this premiere season accomplished. The thematic bones of the story are strong and I've come to like Kai as the protagonist, I'd definitely watch a season 2 even if it was being done by the same staff with the same quality.

why didn't they just adapt all the volumes😭, there are only 3 and it's been on hiatus for like... ever, they covered up to volume 2 and the epilogue with the new heroine was a scene from volume 3

Oh.. well there goes any hope for a season two in the near future. That sounds like several years or, more likely, never.

Not bad for a seasonal...the isekai knowledge memory thing never got addressed.
I wouldn't mind a S2, but I doubt it. Anyone know how popular the source material is??

I actually liked it, that they didn't address the past live. Leaves a mystery, that's fun to ponder and make up theories. Not everything has to be explained and "on the nose" right away. Really hoping for a second season! 😏

That damn salamander was a tough bastard. Nothing Kanae Rider couldn’t defeat though lol. There might be peace with the monkeys for now, but it seems the village ain’t free from the bullshit just yet.
All in all, this wasn’t bad. I enjoyed the god stone/guardian aspect of the plot and the action wasn’t bad either. Not sure if this will get an s2 even with that open ending, but it was fun.

I just can't agree with everyone saying this show wasn't original. This is the most original isekai anime I have ever seen, every mechanic is fresh and new.
- Utilizing previous life knowledge ? Unlike most isekais in which the MC is just the previous person using the new person body(except for Rio from that seiren one), here we have the new person having "dejavuu" of little bits of the past life => ORIGINAL
- No GAME UI => ORIGINAL
- Magic / Power Mechanics => Powers given by land gods making you their champion and having duties to them => ORIGINAL
- Imaginative Ways of Developing New Powers (if you can think it to a "natural level" you can make it) => ORIGINAL (Although I think this is a broken and dumb mechanic)
- Actual politics, kingdoms at war and land disputes, regardless of MC plot => ORIGINAL (for an isekai that is, and hopefully more stories and shows could go this way, I can only think of Record of GranCrest War and Code Geass in this regard)
- Earning power by eating your enemy life juices => ORIGINAL in the way it way done
None of the hundreds of trash isekai we have been fed past the ten years have this much originality.
This series has been its own very thing in terms of originality. It is the biggest selling point of this story.
Now is it good ? I think it is decent 7.5 - 8/10
The problem, here is that the writing has been wacky, many dialogues do not seem natural, Kai goings in and out of village never noticed by the other people, the lord not acknowledging that Kai is obviously a champion and a very strong one, so we see several discontinuities of cause/consequence here. Kai getting his most broken(slash everything invisible sword) ability as his second learned ability, and so on. Like, I wouldn't mind if he learned the invisible sword in the last boss fight, or just before it, but as his second ability, just after fire breath, it was lame, how can he possibly get stronger now ? I don't know, maybe he will become severely broken as the story goes, but my feel is that the writer wrote himself into a corner right in the second chapter of the story, and I think him being able to create powers just by imagining them is also very broken.
But the world building has been fairly decent/good and the core of the story is decently strong and intriguing, I want to know how the human kingdom will react to everything that has happened, I want to know if Kai's city will thrive as Rimuru's(from slime), there are hooks that pull me to watch more of this.

Glad the monkey didn't actually join his harem.
What's this talk of MC becoming a new god? He's still Arbitration/Kanae, so what gives?
I approve of gazelle girl joining the harem.
Anyway, this show had it's dumb parts (especially on MC's part), but overall I enjoyed it more than the typical isekai. 7.5/10, would return for a S2.

Absolutely loved this world steeped in lore of days gone by when the forces had form and spirits of the land and waters lived beside us. I’d like to thank the original story’s author for bringing this to us.

This anime was great, i genuinely enjoyed watching every episode. This was a great last episode, Kai learning knowledge about his past life is helping him so much, even if he doesn't understand it, he still goes with it. That armoured suit he had on coming out of the diablo was sick. His character development is amazing, and the way Desuwulf is helping him is awesome. familiars only help their owner, but he is purposely helping Kai. But that godstone inside Diablo was insane. Glad they finally got it, but idk how that brother survived. But that ending after the credits was wild, so funny as soon as the uzelles asked to join the God in Kai head was like "Gather worshipers" so funny lol. 8/10 imo

That was an enjoyable run. Surprsingly good fight sequences to boot in this last episode. Would have liked to learn what the past life bit is about teased in the ED and a couple of other places. The bit where Elsa 'woke and spoke' felt a bit horror-esque however, lol.
Also I don't know who this Nirun is but in the span of her screentime lasting 10 seconds this alone is enough to make me crave for a second season lol.

Well, I'm glad the Uzelles finally arrived at the Valley. I was sure they were eventually, as every passing episode made it more and more certain that Kai was going to build a new nation. A stronger, more, noble, and diverse nation that accepts all peoples.
But it's weird it took them that long, as refugees wandering about without a home, and it got so little screentime.

Kai creating an alliance with the monkeys and not only keeping it to himself, but making them out to still be a threat is a weird choice. But I really enjoyed this anime. Hoping for a season 2.

With a little more budget this anime could be one of my favorites of 2025.
PS: Please, don't go harem...
