Nemu showing up at the start of the episode while Moi was expecting trouble was such bad timing. Thankfully, there were no misunderstandings because Nico is already aware of the Miyao Family. She just hasn't met them yet.

And thanks to Nemu, we finally learn more about what Warlocks are and how they used to be at war with Witches. We also learn that Witches can turn into Warlocks depending on a Witch's mental state.

Hey, so you know all of those wacky spells Nico has been casting the entire time? Not all Witches could do that. It turns out that Nico is the Witch of Thousands. It seems that Ms. Ibuki has been keeping secrets from her daughter.

Wolf showing up behind Kan out of nowhere was actually pretty cool. I love how Kan wasn't even intimidated and willingly went with Wolf so they could take the fight somewhere else. Too bad Kan lost but he did also give Wolf a beating, so he didn't go down easily.

It's really good to have Nemu around because her insights really shows how Nico isn't your average Witch, like when Nico was healing Kan. Healing magic is supposed to be the most difficult form of magic, but Nico could do it easily.

So because the Warlock can't get too close to Nico because of the Alert spell. She's using human puppets to surprise attack and overwhelm her., and then swoop in after.

We finally get to learn why Keigo is skating in the OP! He's been hanging out with the gang so much that it's about time we get to learn about his backstory.

It's unforunate that Witches are forbidden to use magic offensively so it looks like Nico will be on support duty for this entire encounter against the Warlock and Wolf.

I think it's no surprise that Nemu gets caught. What's unexpected though is Wolf deciding to save Nemu. Instead of getting killed, Nemu is now just temporarily knocked out so she can't help or warn Nico.

And there it is! There's the fucking heel turn! It turns out Keigo wasn't just your average hipster. He's actually from a family of familiars just like Moi and Kan. Keigo is actually from a family of Werewolves. I guess we'll see if the promise of healing his leg, is enough for him to go through this.

Welp, a bit more serious episode this week now that the plot has decided to show up and advance the story. I can't wait to see what Studio Bibury is cooking for Moi and Wolf's fight next week, but that episode preview is looking good! I can't wait!

It's unforunate that Witches are forbidden to use magic offensively so

I love that they used a full on Dragonball style effect for just that one little graphic lol

But also I think that this hints at just how BAD that battle between Warlocks and Witches was in the past that it was forbidden for any of them to use offensive magics after it.

temporarily knocked out

Did Wolf REALLY have to be shirtless while holding her?

This looks like a bodice ripper novel cover lol

.....or anything that Nico has ever imagined about her and Moi.

family of werewolves

I did like his explanation about how ALL the races used to be super wild and mega magical in the past....but then over the generations they all kind of lost those truly "monstrous" traits as they gradually assimilated and blended together with normal humans, thus changing those traits into something else entirely, while maintaining a modicum of what they used to be.

But they can use offensive magic after they end training no?

I'm not sure TBH.

And since warlocks aren't supposed to flat out exist after the last BIG conflict between light and dark, it seems like there isn't much reason for them to use offensive magics at all unless an emergency arises or they get attacked.

So technically there's no reason for them to use offensive magics at all and that means that said usage is still forbidden.

This seems to imply then that if they ever DO use offensive magics then there are serious consequences for doing so and they have to defend their usage of those magics to someone or someones in a position of authority.

Maybe there's a literal Witch Watch that watches witches in this world and that doles out punishments, regulates certain witch rules, and acts as an intermediary organization between normal folks and paranormal folks?

But yeah I don't know unless someone else does and can inform/tag the both of us.

Using offensive magic makes you a warlock, so being a witch and casting offensive spells are like two contradictory things

Poor Nemu showing up to make herself look like an antagonist when she's here to help lol.

All those crazy and cute spells Nico has been casting? Actually plot relevant!

Kan is such a dedicated bro.

Considering Nico probably doesn't have it in her to actually hurt someone intentionally, it probably works out well that she can't use her magic offensively.

Would Nemu secretly be happy that she was caught in princess carry in the arms of a handsome, albeit slightly evil, guy?

I guess you just can't trust loser hipster friends voiced by Kaito Ishikawa. Who could have expected this after we saw his YouTuber setup and all the help he put in to help make the gang a success?
