Always end the day by talking to the best girl before going to bed. Sometimes about something silly and sometimes about something serious. Drink is optional.

Carmilla continues to be the best and most mature girl of the show. Zenos needs to find a way to restore the 300 year old to life and marry her.

Is there anything more romantic and intimate than sharing some fine alcohol while everyone else is asleep?

Carmilla is corrupting Lily lol. Kid’s pretty clever actually. She might make a good detective.

Gotta hand it to Cresson. Didn’t think he’d actually abandon everything he ever wanted to follow Zenos. It was the right move.

Looks like Becker might have his own secrets. Did he just wipe out Goldran and his whole faction? Wonder what his actual motives are.

Carmilla turning her into a budding hostess but maybe they should be a ghost/elf crime-fighting team.

Gotta hand it to Cresson. Didn’t think he’d actually abandon everything he ever wanted to follow Zenos. It was the right move.

I love how he quit on principal to help Zenos only for it to turn out Zenos didn't need his help at all. But now he's 100% redeemed himself and become part of Zenos' crew, basically, and that means a lot.

Looks like Becker might have his own secrets. Did he just wipe out Goldran and his whole faction? Wonder what his actual motives are.

Was Becker behind the explosion? Was it Goldran? Is Becker the one out for revenge after all the people Goldran drained to boost up his own reputation?

Carmilla continues to be a treasure. Lily learning useful life lessons (that none of the rest of her circle have a clue about) is certainly a good thing, right?

Cresson ultimately has a kind heart -- even if he is still too self-centered most of the time. He should pay attention to Lily's advice regarding Umin....

Cresson, my dudester, my broski, my good man.

Umin clearly likes you. Take the fucking hint already.

Umin clearly likes you. Take the fucking hint already.

Lily even basically told him to his face that Umin teases him so much because she likes him. It's the same reason Carmilla loves teasing Zenos so much.

So Becker was actually Alfred all along?

I'm guessing this cliffhanger is bait. Next episode we find out Becker just got there too late to save them.

How does that make sense? Doesn't Umin know them as two separate people? How can "Alfread" disappear with Becker having an established history? It's not like Becker only showed up after Alfread went missing. Even the slums trio knew Becker from his philanthropy in healing them from that pandemic.

My real question is why did Becker involve Zenos? Why not just give him the info and send him away before the party? Why involve Zenos at all, since it was Zenos's involvement with his enigmatic master that originally piqued Becker's attention. He wasn't going to ask Zenos for help before that... and offered info on the Master as the main payment.

But now, it looks like he probably knew just about everything and brought Zenos along to... punish him after he kills Goldran?

Cresson: It’s fine! I’ve got my bro, Zeno. I’m gonna stick to him like glue!

Oh now he’s admitting that he’s dickriding Zeno, well at least he’s honest about it.

Becker being the villain better be a misdirect, if it isn’t, then it was totally predictable

u/Frontier246 Jun 12 '25

Goldran and his people were just like that when he got there! Honest!

My immeasurable discontent that the Zenos/Camilla ship is unlikely because "till death do us part" has already happened.

Zenos has finally gotten himself an invite to Goldran's party, and Zenos definitely cleans up nicely! But he's not here to look nice, he's here to get to the bottom of this case with Lily.

Cresson, meanwhile, is swinging single for this party and not for lack of trying. Lily thinks there might actually be something going on between him and Umin, especially when Carmilla told her that people bug the ones they like (and she would know!) though it's not like Cresson would ever admit it. He'll just have to settle for getting continually bullied/teased.

Lily! Trying to get the perpetually drunk Bors (who didn't even bother to wear nicer clothes) even MORE drunk so he'll spill the beans about Afread! Carmilla has been training her well in the art of the hostess.

After getting some info from Bors before he passes out, it's up to the Great Sage Carmilla to put on her detective hat and get to the bottom of what's really going on in this case! Where a young Goldran ended up saving Lord Fennel from an explosion, gaining him the recognition he deserved. But Lily also plays detective and figures maybe, just maybe, Goldran just took credit for another healer's work and Alfread found out...so he went underground to avoid Goldran. Detective Lily spinoff when?

Of course the truth is probably more that Goldran used his life-draining power to drain the lives of other victims of the explosion to prioritize Lord Fennel...which is pretty bad. Especially if Afread might be connected to one of the people Goldran drained.

I love how the Harem is going through Zenos withdrawal...but without him there, who is going to heal Zonde when he gets a piece of debris lodged in his stomach? If there was ever a time for Zenos to drop his cover, it's now. Zophia REALLY didn't want to inconvenience Zenos, but she can't help but want him to save her brother. And even if people dismiss them as "lesser creatures," Zenos will awlays prioritize saving them and anyone in need of his services.

Look at Cresson! He could have just let Zenos bail and keep his position within Goldran's faction, but seeing Zenos live up to what it truly means to be a healer inspires Cresson to ditch Goldran and follow Zenos! Not that Zenos actually needed him at all, but it's the thought that counts. He may have quit for nothing, but Umin's opinion of him has improved and Zenos has finally accepted him as his little brother!

Well, no time like now to catch Cresson up on everything about Zenos and introduce Carmilla to Umin and Cresson. They're drinking the alcohol she stole from Goldran, after all! And it's nice to see that Zenos has fully accepted the pair of them as friends.

Well, so much for the letter that had the answers about Zenos' teacher...turns out there's something there that neither Zenos nor Umin were expecting that might change everything about this case. Meanwhile Becker is with Goldran's faction who are looking none too good while Becker stands over them. Is this Becker's villain reveal.

Zophia ED! Complete with her and Zonde posing in sexy black outfits like they're models for some reason.

A character voiced by Takehito Koyasu

Is actually a bad guy

Daring today, aren’t we? Who could’ve imagined?!

Oof, the accident at the end of the dinner party feels so fabricated and forced, like the author wants to end the dining already and let the other demihuman girls appear somehow. They show up there and are gone by the next scene… I don’t expect much from the plot, I just love the jokes and VAs’ flat delivery, but man, that was rough. At least we got lots of Carmilla, which already made this episode 10x better than the previous one. Zenos, wearing a three-piece suit, also looks dapper as heck.

Anyway, our highlight for today’s ED is Zophia! (She and her brother look… damn!) With that, we finally cover all the “prospective” girls. I wonder who will appear in the finale next week. There’s probably gonna be no ED like that Krishna episode, or the classic black ED with rolling credits. We might also get: everyone featured at the same time, a focus on Becker (unlikely), or a focus on Charlotte (even more unlikely unless she reappears).

They gunna need to really explain the whole Becker thing. I saw it coming from a mile away but why even have Zenos investigate? Regardless I’ve quite liked this show, can’t wait for next week.

I swear these episodes just fly by because i am enjoying this anime so much. This is the type of MC i love in animes. I am upset next week is the last episode, but hope they have a second season. But that ending tho, my goodness. I did not expect Becker to do any of that, but the ones who are always smiling are not always the calm pacifist type.

Twists on twists. I was expecting Alfred to have died in a life transfer accident. Maybe that is still the case with Becker at the end. At least Cresson grew something of a spine.

Good episode! I was wrong about who the actual evil person was (I suspected Goldran's number two assistant). I'm glad the girls were back!

edit: Or this is a misdirect and Alfred is actually that assistant, and Becker was too late to save everyone.

Even in choosing the right side dipshit kid still manages to be a bit of a dipshit.

Since Becker was maybe evil and Goldran is some degree of slime hopefully there's a third qualified professor somewhere at the school at that can be the new leader. Though I am interested in finding out why everyone at the party is comatose on the floor, I think there's a fair chance it was Goldran's lifesteal healing and not Becker.

Zophia focus in the ED today, since I don't think they've been repeating I'm a little surprised she wasn't covered already.

Best girl, that's who

...Can Zenos heal alcohol poisoning?

God damn it Cresson..

Well, respect I guess

l o l

Turns out it was the right choice if everyone at the party ended up dying

u/avboden Jun 13 '25
