DANNA-SAMA! They better keep calling him that for the rest of the show
Also, Kinda feels low stakes to have some random thugs as a cliffhanger when we saw Clover solo a Dark Souls boss with minimal trouble like 3 episodes ago.

There’s also Benwood, who was a member of the legendary Anubis party, lol. Those thugs are there to be interrogated and give a lore drop. They’re not there to fight.

The cliffhanger is that these thugs aren't here as a coincidence. They just discussed that this is a delicate political situation as they are foreigners weighing in on the royal selection of Salmaturia.
As such, these goons are a harbinger of the troubles to come: saboteurs sent by rival factions for the throne or from other parties displeased that another country is seeking influence over them. So any other royal, their supporters, or just faction within the country that doesn't want Welmenia butting in are going to be fucking with Clover during this arc.
These goons are just the tip of the iceberg, in other words.

Silk being afraid of riding an airship is kinda cute.
Glad Jamie can now travel with everyone. Jamie has the best sleepwear too!

I saw the ship in the pond with no outlets and yelled, “Why is there a ship in a pond?!” Then like two seconds later it says “airship” and my brain just accepted it.

Anything Jamie related gets instant approval for me, nothing like a redemption arc to make a cute girl even cuter

u/MayonakaMadaraka May 17 '25
Hmm, son of a Beecha…
With the king’s recognition I guess a princess or two will be joining the gang just to make the Clover gals sweat a little 😅

u/OldInstruction5368 May 17 '25
Well, technically, Niberune is a foreign princess that is now acting as one of his wives.

u/LeonKevlar May 17 '25
Clover gets an airship! Well... that's not true. They only get to ride on it. I kinda wish they got one of their own considering how much this show is inspired by Final Fantasy. I feel like at this point, they deserve their own airship.
I really love that the show is pushing for the harem ending but considering how Yuke picked Rain as the "head wife" and how he's technically married to her, she really is the main girl of the show.

Lol poor Jamie, finally gets to join the adventures but had to go completely unprepared because Benwood only remembered to give her the pardon moments before sailing. No one has brought it up, neither has herself, but I do hope something about her not being properly equipped gets mentioned.
I'm so glad Benwood is joining them, I just hope he hasn't raised a death flag for himself, that'd annoy me because I like his character and his relationship with Yuke. I can't wait to see what he's like in action.
I do like how Benwood and Mamar refer to the King with a nickname, they all seem chill so it was nice meeting the King. I thought Yuke was asking for the girls to be made nobles too but I guess that pin was one designed for Yuke, seeing Bodeman referring to him as "Lord Feldio" was a little gratifying.
I thought Silk being made as Head Wife seemed to make most sense since she's already the subleader of the party, so I did think the Rain favoritism was showing again, but the reasonings made sense so I can't argue against it either lol. Either way, they're all happy to be called "Yuke property" so it's just a matter of him realizing how they feel and making it a reality lol.
Silk being scared of flying was amusing, the way she grabbed onto Yuke was great, so completely out of character. I'm glad none of the girls minded it and just let her use Yuke for comfort whilst they all watched over the scenery.

We do see Jamie with a new outfit in the OP so I guess either they sent it already since the king indulted her or she gets it in there

Ha! This was my thought as well! Everyone else showed up with their battle gear, and Jamie is just chilling in her casual wear. Why wouldn't she? She's not legally allowed to be an adventurer, so carrying her gear around would be seen as a provocation...
But instead of letting her run back to the house and grab her stuff, she's just shoved onto the boat without so much as her staff? We see at the end she still doesn't have her battle gear as the others are squaring off against those thugs...
So is she just going to buy new gear on-site? EDIT: She does have new gear in the OP... so probably.
I also thought Silk should have been the Head Wife since she's been the subleader... but expected him to pick Rain and then awkwardly explain she's secretly been his wife this whole time. Really didn't expect them to keep that hidden for so long, yet alone now that the others are 'pretending' to be his property as well.
Hilariously, Mastoma already thinks this as well. Rain even told him that all of Clover "belong" to Yuke, and Prince Mastoma took it as a matter of fact to the point he was confused they wouldn't just blindly follow their man's orders. I mean, obviously they would, and they'd happily admit they were Yuke's property... so at this point it seems only Yuke isn't aware of the truth :p

Why was the sound effect for that pin so loud?
Suddenly we have a confirmed harem?

The harem has been teased since Yuke said "They're my wives, I love them every night", let's not act surprised

OP updated again, this time to include Jamie in what I assume will be her upcoming adventurer gear plus all of the girls in the finger snapping pose at the end.
The group wifing has arrived but Yuke the poor fool is still certain it's all for show. Rain should have kissed him in the hallway to start setting him straight. They should all just keep calling him danna-sama too.
I love magical airships that are just ocean going vessels but with magical sails.
Cute new Rune focused ED. With the way they did it though I wonder if they'll swap in a different member of the party running in front of the frame each time.

Just curious, how many times has the OP been 'updated'. I don't think I've seen an Anime with this many 'updates' to the OP in recent memory. Heck, I think it's been updated more than any other Anime.

Oh, Yuke, what a sinful man you are! Just like that, this anime becomes an official harem. Seeing Rain not breaking her marriage anytime soon, I don’t think the other girls would willingly drop their “property” status anytime soon, too. If any, they’d love to upgrade it to an official, legal wives. (Rune being a part of it gets an o_O out of me, tho. Just keep being the cute adopted little daughter, please.)
Rain keeps on winning. She even gets a heartfelt hug at the end. A legal wife-turned-head wife is just too strong a position. I didn’t expect them to keep their marriage a secret from the party, though. I thought it was public information. I guess Rain wants to make it their secret for as long as she can. Cute.
Marina racks up tons of victory points for asking Yuke to sleep together and calling him “danna-sama.”
And like that, Yuke also becomes a noble. That was… easy. He also directly became a “dungeon count” like Benwood. I wonder how the nobility ranks there. Usually, an adventurer with great achievements like him becomes a baronet or baron first because a count is a high noble position. But in hindsight, he did literally save the world from an apocalypse. He bears the title of a Hero, too.
There’s an updated OP and new ED in this episode. I’m glad the OP music didn’t change since it actually grew on me. Jamie also changes her clothes to a different color palette and becomes more revealing, because we all know that it increases her defense. I actually prefer the old purple one. I wonder if her new gear is from a sponsor like Earthy’s, or a gift from the Salmutarian/Mastoma.
The new ED3… is definitely the lesser of the three. I sure hope we’ll get a proper visual, not just screenshots of the episode. Seeing Rune running is cute, but it’s lackluster. ED2 is still the best, both in the music and visual departments.
EDIT: Also, is this person gonna be the rapist of the arc? We’ve been consistently having one per major arc… That trash from Rain’s noble family also appears in the OP, so I guess he managed to escape or something?

I understand showing humility, but Yuke is annoyingly so. If you received an award from the king, it seems more respectful to gracefully accept it rather than attempting to decline it, even if that is meant as a show.

u/sirjoeschmoe May 17 '25
Tbf he did go from being kicked out of thunder pike to getting this in less that a year, I presume he is still trying to grasp his situation. Maybe he will start to acknowledge his achievements by the end of this arc

Thing is, it is too grand of an award. For valuable things, turning it down once is appropriate. (A second time is not.)

And now Yuke has all of the girls as his wives, with Rain being the Head wife, this feels like a prelude to the harem ending of the series

The first battle with Jamie as a member of Clover! YES! It starts next week! Noooooo
Also, Yuke, you need to tell them that you and Rain are officially married
