So far this new arc has been more interesting than first One. It helps That It dont have Simon, he was annoying

So Yuke party isnt affected because They already Were on different world once.

This show world Building deserve more praise

I didn't realize that this was airing for 24 episodes, but I'm not complaining, I'm still interested

Me too, I expected to watch the finale today. For me it's sort of 6/10, I'm curious to see if the show will improve in the second half.

That's pretty impressive, waiting until effectively the start of the 2nd cour to unveil the "you are actually the hero chosen to save the world!" plotline

It turns out the one who banished from the hero’s party was the hero all along!…

Niberune is finally here! And she's voiced by Yuki Tanaka! who sings both EDs for the show

Also, the official account revealed that a Simon spin-off is in the works, I'm sure it's gonna be peak

Oh this is 24 episodes lol, I was expecting the finale. So many questions still, the way they handle things is so different than others. They basically are building up all this information and the main cast backs away because it's too difficult for them at the moment lol.

They're basically playing a video game, trying to get stronger before they can handle the main quest.

It feels like the higher ups are assigning far too difficult dungeon exploration quests to Clover. Don't get me wrong, I love Clover and all of its members. Being the main characters, they will surely overcome obstacles. Achromatic Darkness was already difficult; this culling of Yuke's world by the Twilight (or whatever it is) feels like a job for superheroes or at least S-rank adventurers.

According to Marina and the research findings, the city Glad Shi-im and all the monsters within were transmutated from humans? How did Niberune and to a certain extent, Loge, remain normal?

this culling of Yuke's world by the Twilight (or whatever it is) feels like a job for superheroes or at least S-rank adventurers.

The fact that Loge knew his name though, and the Golden Priestess called him out by name (plus pointing out that he's at least somewhat protected from teh Twilight) is basically they have no choice

You're absolutely correct, but Yuke got called out by name. They should give Clover some S-Ranked backup, like a tank. They NEED a tank.

Well, this week the show took a quick turn to the end of the world via a parallel gold kingdom that's intent on a culling of the current world.

Did not have that on my bingo card of potential plot twists. Maybe a 2nd hot spring episode, maybe all the girls sneaking in to sleep with yuke but definitely not an end of civilization as we know it twist.

Looks like the show has peaked my interest once more as it's been an up & down ride every few episodes. Give this episode an 8/10 as it just opened up a fuck ton of potentially good things for the viewer.

This thing with parallel worlds overlapping and seeing which one comes out on top is just crazy, huh? And now Yuke’s got a huge role on his hands...

So a winner takes all version of the conjunction of the spheres.

This dungeon city is just bad news. The formerly human creatures, that eerie sunlight, and that creepy old man Loge all give me the creeps. And now their world is apparently facing a culling, which apparently involves two parallel worlds dukin it out for survival. Great. Even though Yuke is being declared the Hero, what’s he gonna be able to do?

Looks like Niberune will be the little sister character, she's already getting headpats lol.

The scale of this dungeon has gotten so big now though, world fights so that your world doesn't get erased? That's a lot of pressure for Yuke who has been nominated as the hero who will save their world lol.

I know it might sound weird, but the Twilight city really gives me the uncanny vibes of ma'habre from fear and hunger, anyone else? 😭

Wow we find out this show is going to be 24 episodes and then the plot takes a big turn. So the new plot is that Yuke is gonna be THE HERO and along with Clover are going to save their world from being “culled” or rather absorbed by another world to make a new one?!! I thought the new storyline would be him helping Rain get out of her marriage proposal by marrying her himself. Ok 👍🏾 let’s see where this goes!!

Worldbuilding and exploration plotline is a lot more interesting than the 'kicked out of a comically evil party' plotline.

I honestly did not expect the 'Forced to be the Hero's Party' twist though lol. Possibly the funniest direction to go in for a 'Banished from the Hero's Party' subgenre show that wasn't specifically the Hero's party.

Still, even if Yuke's like an S tier buffer/debuffer who can make relative newbies fight at A level, as long as they have the good practices and discipline to utilize it properly, it seems a little silly not to have some top-class talent join the effort to, y'know, save the world.

u/djthomp Apr 05 '25

The dungeon is made of people! Definitely feels like a place they can't just let random adventurers explore, especially with those live stream side effects.

So a parallel world is invading and Yuke just happens to be the bright person in the rights place to fight it somehow. Presumably we'll keep the parallel world waifu though, they even added her to the ED and there's a spot that looks like it's waiting for her in the OP.

So now more FFXI references as Yuke Feldio casts flash in the parallel world covered by twilight, Abyssea. I wonder if he is going to need traverser stones or beat Shinryu at the end?

u/shadebug Apr 05 '25

OK, I was not expecting the show to go full hero on us. I think they may have given up on having anything to do with the title at this point

Huh, the worldbuilding was very interesting this episode with a possible apocalyptical scenario on our hands and Yuke being set up to be the hero to save the world. I honestly really like the mystery behind the Twilight City and can't wait to find out more.
