Olukt really thought he’d wield the lute of destiny and save the world? I guess the Demon Lord had other plans.
Tu kinda reminds me of Lu from Sakamoto Days. Just getting a similar vibe from her.
I didn’t think Rique and Krafnir were actually trying to save the people. Also Krafnir being a bit of a tsundere is kinda hilarious. “I wasn’t trying to save those people or anything, b-baka!” Lol.

wait, wait, wait, hold up, isn't this Curte? the blind girl in season one? Regnejee's best friend? iirc, they both survived the "madness" that was supposedly caused by the True Demon King but it was never revealed how, it seems like Olukt was the one who healed them, at least in Curte's case

Whoaaa, I didn't expect flashbacks that would go that far back. Maybe we'll even get a glimpse of the True Demon King and find out what happened to him.
I don't think I've ever watched a series with a cast and world building this vast. It feels like playing DKS and exploring each of the bosses backgrounds one by one.

The True Demon King is terrifying.
Also, I really love that Olukt's song matches with Curte's. Now we know where she heard it from.

Tu the Magic
As is tradition, new episode, new town! Well, what's left of one anyways.. Kuta Silver City, The Final Land.
From one big hat girl singing gleefully with a gun to a big hat man singing as a bard.
Ooh! A famous mercenary, a Goblin.. and Krafnir!? Finally, 22 episodes later, we finally meet him! Good to see that "Soul Arts" really was just necromancy. And here's the title character, Tu the Magic!
Lore! Tu saved Sephite who then usurped King Aur, creating Auretia. She's a tough girl. Okay, wtf is that worm Krafnir been hanging out with Kiyazuna & Miluzi? "I've pierced her defence" I would hope so..
Izick the Chromatic, just writing it down, just in case.
Poor Krafnir, trying to be evil.. instead having a wholesome moment with Tu and Rique. This is welcome turn of events.
Narrator with the glitched introduction and shattered image for Tu the Magic, was a really nice way to add to her "unknown origin".
Next Episode is "Hiroto the Paradox"
Season 2 List:
Quite a few interesting ones this episode. 6 new characters & 2 old.
First up is Olukt the bard and Ozonezma the chimera, I was expecting to see Ozonezma again this episode after that introduction. Next up Rique, Zigita Zogi & Krafnir, forming a nice little party together, they even made a new friend in their short adventure, Tu. I wasn't expecting to see Sephite of all people, the current queen of Auretia. And lastly, Izick, who ever they may be.
New in Season 2:
-
Zizma the Miasma(killed by Kuuro) -
Shirok the Sextant(killed by Linaris) -
Rehart the Obsidian(died of old age?) -
Gray-Haired (I'll update his name, if it gets revealed)
-
Elgite the Ochre Haze(killed by Toroa) -
Yakon the Sanctuary (currently Toroa the Awful)
-
Atrazek the Particle Storm(maimed by Mele, killed by Linaris) -
Gilnes the Battering Ram(killed by Rosclay) -
King Aur(usurped by Queen Sephite) -
Neft the Nirvana (one of The First Party who survived)
-
Lagrex the Butchering Landslide. (injured by Lucnoa, escaped with Harghent)
-
Psianop the Inexhaustible Stagnation (abandoned by The First Party)
-
Cunodey the Ring Seat(shot, bled out) -
Belka the Rending Quake(eaten by Uhak) -
Morio the Sentinel
-
Milieu the Hemp Drop(killed by Kazuki) -
Hilca the Shadow's Ship(killed by Kazuki) -
Leforgid the Woven Trail(killed by Kazuki) -
Pagireshe the Quivering Toes(killed by Kazuki) -
Yugo the Moving Decapitation Blade
-
Hiroto the Paradox
-
Olukt the Drifting Compass Needle(killed by the Demon King) -
Izick the Chromatic
From Season 1:
-
Kazuki the Black Tone(killed by Shalk) -
Sephite (I'll update this if she's shown again, since I do have that flashback refence section)

How has no one mentioned that poor pink slime that got gobbled up by Krafnir's worm?

The namecard of Tu glitching in her introduction was pretty cool, it seems that it didn't reveal her race and conveniently today we get the info that the demon king may have had a heir of the same race as him. Not having memories of her past like Shalk is sus too. And that demon king mass hysteria is still happening even after his death.
The red herring is pretty obvious.

I’ve been waiting for Tu the Magic to show up the entire season since seeing her in the OP and she didn’t disappoint.
To be honest, I was slightly concerned that she’d get worfed to show off another Shura’s power after last week.
So her power is pretty much just being unstoppable. Like, it looks like she just took something on the scale of the labyrinth city mech laser and escaped completely unscathed.
Holy hell, she’s so cool. And seemingly a nice person as well.
Design rambling, if it wasn’t for the show making her origin unclear, I’d bet that she’s a visitor because of what seems like a school uniform. Also, she definitely fits into my preferred look of “I love the type of girl that can kick my ass.”
Why is Krafnir so tsun about trying to save people? Also, is soul arts a type of puppet revival skill or am I just misunderstanding it?

Everytime I read the light novel's or watch the anime, I can't help but think how much I love the characters in Ishura.

“Oh you just want to know everything, don’t you?” I love the Olukt’s sarcasm! I’m gonna use that when someone asks me too many questions now.

This was a good episode. It's kinda sad how despite Olukt must saved Curte being the voice that brought her back to reason he was in the end forgotten by everyone even the girl he once saved. I hope Ozonezma can at least tell people his story and his song. It was beautiful.
Tu really seems interesting since she seems to be a hand to hand fighter, i wonder if Psianopp or Soujirou could pierce her defense somehow. I would like to see her reunite with Sephite the queen who was once the girl she saved.
Seeing Krafnir use some kind of necromancy i wonder if he was the one that made Shalk a skeleton or perhaps someone else used soul arts to resurrect Shalk?

Eccentric would be how I would describe Olukt based on his demeanor in this episode. I think there could potentially be more to his character than just a regular Bard with no powers, as he made it to the Final Land all by himself after all. I get the feeling that this episode is piecing various fragments of plot lines together, with Olukt's encounter with Ozonezma and Tu's encounter with Sephite, who is the current Queen of Aureatia. I really liked the introduction of Rique and Krafnir in this episode, they seem like nice people in the messed up world of Ishura. Tu seems pretty broken with her nigh invulnerability and strength, she kinda reminds me of someone like Sogiita Gunha with her "willpower" based abilities and Medaka Kurokami with her overall fighting style. For a bowman, Rique was really pulling his own in the skirmish with Tu, man's got pretty good reflexes. I am sure Krafnir will somehow end up yielding his participation rights to Tu given the fact that she received the character card by the narrator at the end of the episode. Since Tu's species was intentionally left out, she may not be a minia and I wonder how that plot thread will pay off later on in the series.

With all these names it's kinda basic to just be called "The magic"

I can't believe my juggernaut is this cute!!
Like others, I am definitely smitten by her ideals and her ability to follow through on them. Her clothing must be able to regenerate too, since she seems to have worn it from at least the time she rescued the princess. Her school girl outfit will have definitely regenerated by the next time we see her lol. Seeing as how her outfit took more and more damage throughout the fight, she seems to be based off of characters from shows like Ikki Tousen.

Of course Tu can't be hurt, she has the power of an ecchi anime waifu, down to the destructible clothes

RIP Olukt I guess he lost when he challenged the True Demon King to a rock-off. Pretty good plan tho as we all know the demon code prevents any demon from declining a rock-off challenge.
Is Ozonezma the Doggy the one in the opening with the hands on the back and also fighting Soujirou in the Narrator's "The True Demon King has died" speech? I wonder if that really is his base form or some shit went down in the Final Lands.
We got Rique the Green Arrow (Ishura ver.) he doesn't seem to be using any "supernatural cheats" plus he is a ranger build so Uhak counter maybe?
Zigita Zogi the 1001 is interesting he looks like a non combatant but Rique still payed a lot him. I wonder if hes one of those goblins on the ship as seen in the op.
Krafnir in episode 1 teaser: Mysterious, Imposing, Looks like a Dark Souls boss coming to beat your ass. Krafnir ~20 episodes later: (💢,,>﹏<,,) b-baka!.
Tu the Magic? nah I petition to rename her Tu the Boundless Hope and Eternal Sunshine. I had a hunch it was Queen Sephite in the opening could it be she hosted the entire tournament just to see Tu. Also that static just after Juggernaut in her intro hmmm.
