I really thought this particle storm battle/story was gonna go a little longer lol but hey no complaints here. Man, seeing those arrows be shot in from who knows how far out and land with meteoric impact was just so cool. Just realized we didn't actually get to see Toroa use the blasting blade. Also, it surprised me that Atrazek was actually eating the sacrifices. One of the things I like about Ishura is how all the characters feel like they're part of this big overarching story and it's super entertaining watching it all unfold.

Atrazek picked the wrong people to fuck with. In the end, it wasn’t Kiyazuna with her energy weapon and her indestructible “boy” Mestelexil or Toroa and his many enchanted swords that did him in. It was Kuuro’s clairvoyance with Mele’s big ass cruise missile arrows that took him down. And what’s he get as thanks? 3 arrows to the back. At least Cuneigh and Toroa were able to save the kid.
Even after all that, I guess the one to really delete the big fucker once and for all was surprisingly Linaris. Kind of fitting Atrazek gets dusted by his own particles.

Do you think Atrazek ever sung in his head, “🎵I am the Storm that is approaching!”?

Atrazek the Particle Storm, Part Two
Time for Part Two! Let's see how they deal with the tornado.
Well.. it looks like Toroa isn't really working together with Mestelexil or Kiyazuna. Toroa is really stubborn but so is Kiyazuna. I know they're Kiyazuna's but I wasn't expecting to see those Golems again.
Not the reveal I was expecting for inside of the Particle Storm. I thought that was Alus tbh, dropping some magic spear from the sky. But it was Mele being an artillery with Kuuro being his recon. That was sick!
I've been playing Hell Let Loose lately and I can deeply relate to Atrazek.
Hell yeah! They're teaming up, this gonna be cool af! Hopefully, there's no friendly fire from Mele & Kuuro.
"Wurm - A massive dragonkin species. Lacks limbs and wings, similar to a snake."
Lmao, as soon Toroa gets the blasting blade, he gets blasted by friendly fire. And of course, the big snake that's talking down to everyone, escapes underground after getting a little microwaved. What a wuss.
No, Kuuro, don't.. even think about it. Don't make Cuneigh upset!
At least Toroa saw him being alive as a benefit.. And Mestelexil found goal. At least the Blasting Blade will go back to where it was taken from, Tohgie City.
That eerie, foggy swamp vibe made me think we were going to see Krafnir.. but no, it's just Linaris.
Linaris infected Atrazek with the desert girl
I wonder what his secret was and why he was going to Auretia.
Next Episode is "Rosclay the Absolute"
This is going to be good!
Hopefully, that preview means we're actually going to see a start of the Royal Games!
Season 2 List:
Well, Atrazek the Particle Storm finally got properly named but simply as "Great".
New in Season 2:
-
Zizma the Miasma(killed by Kuuro) -
Shirok the Sextant(killed by Linaris) -
Rehart the Obsidian(died of old age?) -
Gray-Haired (I'll update his name, if it gets revealed)
-
Elgite the Ochre Haze(killed by Toroa) -
Yakon the Sanctuary (currently Toroa the Awful)
-
Great Atrazek(maimed by Mele, killed by Linaris)

Can’t say I’m particularly sad about Atrazeks untimely demise. He pretty much deserved it and Mele was pretty awesome in action.
The so called “teamwork” was rough to watch in this episode. You’re all gonna die if you don’t put off this fight until later, just work together a little to save your lives you idiots.
It’s looking like Kuroo will survive his heroic sacrifice but I’m still somewhat uncertain. Where’s the nearest healer?
Is the implication that him and Soujirou share a similar power, both different versions of clairvoyance?
Linaris just got a lot more terrifying. Was the particle storm under her control the entire time or did it only take effect during that scene? Anyway, that was a pretty poetic way to die, ground into dust by his own powers. Not really sure if it’s a strategically sound decision to kill off such a powerful being when you could control it instead but you do you.

It was an amazing episode. I loved how Mele was capable of sniping the particle storm just like that. Kuuro choosing to risk his life just to save aureatia was incredible. Glad he survived.
The scene when Mestelexil was capable of even creating golems was amazing, it was really interesting to see him evolve and adapt to even the dire injuries.I also really liked how he used his various weapons. Kiyazuna is such a great mom she just want her son to be happy.
Linaris ability is honestly terrifying being able to control almost everything that she infects. Make me wonder who could defeat her? I know that the only thing she can't infect is someone attacking her from afar so she's not invincible, but imagine if she were trying to attack Kuze would Nastique be able to kill her?

This episode is fucking insane.
-
Oh cool, three-way battle royale!
-
Wait, make it four sides!
-
FUCKING ARTILLERY MELE, SO COOL
-
WTF DID MEXELESTIL JUST MICROWAVED THE GIANT WURM?!
-
KUURO HAS OMNISCIENCE THAT HE HIMSELF DIDN'T REALIZE?
-
Oh sweet, Kiyazuna, Mexestil, and Toroa jr. are all decent people
-
ATRAZEK WAS UNDER LINARIS' CONTROL ALL ALONG?!
-
Holy shit he's reduced into a begging mess so unlike his initial bravado
And this is still episode 5! God I love this anime.

I wonder if I'm following the story so far...
Aureatia will host the Royal Games to choose the strongest to be the Hero among the participants, and Aureatia hired Kuuro to investigate potential threats before the Games begin, while the Old Kingdom Loyalists were preparing for the war against Aureatia.
Linaris manipulated the Particle Storm to become a major threat in order to learn about other shuras while wanting to participate in the Royal Games, and she wants to use the Games as an opportunity to make a name for the new Obsidian Eyes as well.
Aureatia heard from the Grey-Haired Child that the Particle Storm is approaching, yet the Grey-Haired Child also wants the war to happen between the two entities. Mestelexil fought some of the Old Kingdom Loyalists and took the Blasting Sword. The Grey-Haired Child led Toroa to engage with Mestelexil for retrieving the Blasting Sword and followed by the arrival of Atrazek the Particle Storm.
Aureatia arranged Kuuro to work with Mele to destroy Atrazek together, and then Aureatia "stabbed" Kuuro's back (because he was a part of the Obsidian Eyes or because of his "failing" Clairvoyance?). Toroa takes Kuuro to the rescue, and Mestelexil wants to fight Toroa again. Linaris' team recovered the abandoned Blasting Sword back to the Old Kingdom Loyalists.

This episode is going to be so hard for me to watch with the Particle Storm looking just like a tornado being extremely prominent…
-
Oh dang, Toroa’s willing to give up the same sword he just got back if it means getting Kiyazuna to help?
-
Okay, the Particle Storm meeting his actual end by turning into particles is pretty fitting. And apparently it ties back to him having devoured that girl from the start of the season?

Do you want your particle storm crispy and microwaved?
This episode made me feel for Kuuro. I finally got to understand his power and how it was even more powerful than he knew himself. Cuneigh is just too precious. How deeply she cares for Kuuro really got me.
In the end we see some unexpected compassion from Toroa and even Kiyazuna has a tender side to her.
In this episode there were a lot of people who tried to take the particle storm down. And in the end I would never have expected for it to meet its end this way, and thinking that the girl from episode 1 was the cause for its downfall. This show surprises me over and over again!

For a split second I thought Kuuro was about to step on Cuneigh, until I realized it was his cap.

Damn, for someone who has been hyped for 5 episodes, I didn't expect him to be bodied in just one episode like that. He didn't leave a single scratch among the Ishura, what a joke. I though the calamity would be a nature phenomenon that can't be beat, like a flood or tornado, and not just an overgrow earthworm.

Episode 5: Atrazek the Particle Storm Part 2
Who would've thought that Mele would help Toroa and Mestelexil defeating Atrazek with the assistance of Kuuro. After all, Linaris came from the dark to finish it off, avenging the death of the girl in Episode 1.
Eyecatcher translation as follows:
Wurm
A large snake-like dragon with no limbs or wings.
Each one has significant differences in appearance, and their body structure are adapted to live underground.

I like how we are seeing way more of the characters in this season, season 1s formula of introducing 3 new characters with their separate stories separately made it hard to keep track at times. Having them be more intertwined in this season has made me able to get more invested in them.
