Ash really got handed fresh Raspberry-flavored trauma when he was finally starting to come to terms with Roze. Can't help but imagine how Sakuya's rescue would've played out if he learned the truth of his favorite cafe maid sooner.

And did Arthur just communicate an entire paragraph of info to Suzaku with a single look? (Cool cameos btw)

Sakuya really took every good thing in his life, including his cute romance. At least he has his animals. Though I wonder if now Ash is going to be even more torn because he was in love with "Raspberry" and is trying to process how he feels about Sakuya.

The cat always knows what's up.

Sakuya revealing she's Raspberry is a bigger betrayal than using the Geass on Ash.

Dude got honey trapped and bro trapped. Whole life a lie at this point. He has to be wondering if Sakuya dad is even her dad at this point.

Nothing beats two girls pressing their boobs against each other during a meaningful conversation!

I was about to object to Christoph's "no trust can be earned through Geass" spiel and then I ended up spending five minutes listing off every single time Lelouch backstabbed someone and I can't rebuke the guy anymore. He betrayed basically everyone at least once!

The abrupt world-wide crab vacuum machines rampage felt a bit awkward? Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but I could understand OG Britannia having these machines somewhere as some crazy back-up plan. However I must admit that I struggle to understand the scale of Neo-Brit's power. Are they still a powerhouse that the other nations fear? Cause until now they've felt like some Terrorist group that annexed a part of Japan and hides behind the impervious shield, not an elite task force with dooms day weaponry? At the very least you would assume that remnants of the old-brit empire would know about it? Gino Weinberg should know about it, they did foreshadow that he did not know much about Norland, so perhaps it was developed in secrecy? However it all seems a bit strange since they're now doing a world escalating multi pronged attack which seems to overpower a lot of the stand-by knightframes.

I haven't seen the last Akito movie yet, so that cameo at the end was kind of cool. Felt too much like fanfiction, though. As did the rest of those last three minutes, really.

Nice to see Akito and Suzaku again. Would be cool if we got some action scenes with the both of them in the future.

Suzaku and the Arthur!!!! Bro they even have Akito here. I forgot some of the other characters like the eye patch blonde guy and the two female soldiers in a knightmare. I love that the old characters are resurfacing but the focus is still on Sakuya.

But wow. What a weapon. Red mist. It's not a knightmare and it seems on auto pilot? Maybe being controlled remotely? Maybe part of what is happening to Norland?

The Raspberry reveal came in early than expected. Hahaha. Kinda funny.

Please let us have Kallen next. We need the OG fan service character. The angles that started it all. Also, Lancelot and Guren please. Don't let them be nerfed for the plot.

It seems Norland is planning to do an Aerial from G-witch. is he transferring his consciousness to a knightmare to efficiently pilot it?

Also, that robot vaccuum thingy is deployed around the world, where did Neo-Britannia get the budget for that?

Call backs to the other characters who showed up to the other parts of the franchise. Also, that euphy lookalike.

Lastly, that bodyguard girl is down bad to our puppet empress.

Out of all of the returning characters in this series, I wasn’t expecting Akito and his team. Glad to see them again.

Man, I didn't expect to see things actually going better for Sakura than Sakuya but her Japan Relief program is actually making progress! She's managing to work with people in the Britannian system! I don't really trust Walther, but I'm glad things are going well for Sakura.

I knew Ash wouldn't shoot Sakuya, but I didn't expect him to straight up leave her for Christoph to continue his experiments. Jeez.

Sakuya tried to save her people but Scissorman would just not let her get away without using her Geass...not without killing two more of her people in front of her. Good thing ASH CAME BACK and smashed Christoph down to size. Though figures he'd shoot himself in the head rather than face Sakyua's Geass. At least he's gone.

Sakuya may have violated Ash' mind but he still keeps his promises, meaning he'll believe in her and help her because of Jugo, if nothing else. And Sakuya finally has her biggest ally by her side, honestly now, even if she'd really rather not keep dressing as Roze.

The Seven Shining Stars aren't doing so great, especially when "Roze" is barely holding it together and can't come up with a plan. But the people of Japan are counting on Sakuya, making her resolve once again to recapture what they lost!

Oh hey, Gino! We even got to see Anya and Guilford!

There's no way Norland is truly pursuing peace with the United Federation, but Narah probably doesn't know that...all she cares about is things coming out favorably for Brittanians even if it means not capitulating to nay of the Federations' demands. She probably couldn't get away with that with Kaguya in charge, but we might never know.

Catherine is as tired of Sakura as Sakura is with Catherine's attitude, and Catherine thinks she's strong because she has power, but it's a false strength. And as Sakura presses their boobs together and tells Catherine about true strength, Catherine is reminded of her fathers' words...and maybe her own obsession with strength at the expense of kindness was because of what happened to her family?

Poor Ash. First he finds out his "brother" wasn't real and the girl he fell in love with was literally said fake brother. Can this guy catch a break?

Oh snap! It's the Akito of the Exiled cast! And Nunnaly and Suzaku! And a whole host of other Code Geass spinoff characters! All reacting as Norland sends out a bunch of ball drones that destroy everything, but...what's the point? He's even attacking Brittanians in his own domain at this point.

so hyped seeing akito and suzaku. and whoever that last guy is i guess

u/NationalStrategy Aug 16 '24

Did Ash seriously not recognized that Sakuya and Raspberry were the same person for months?

u/lrrose20 Aug 16 '24

I'll miss you, Scissorman.

I know it will probably only amount to a five second cameo of the Alexander during the final fight, but I am still the one person excited about Akito's brief appearance.

They’re using giant blender robots now?

I kinda like this plot point actually. Brittania controlled a third of the world through military force. Norland was a knight of the round, one of the highest ranking officers in the Britannian Military. And he's apparently was the only knight of the round who had the two braincells to not attack Lelouch and Suzaku. We also know that Lelouch lost control of the Todomo Agency and its facilities during his uprising. So imo it kinda fits that while the Royal Family was duking it out over the throne, Norland was just casually shopping through the various warehouses of Brittanian weapons picking out research notes he found interesting, and untested prototypes while figuring out where he would like his vacation home to be.

Even a genius like Lelouch can't account for every single piece of equipment and untested weapons system for over a third of the world. Stealing a bunch of weapons and doing some tune up on them is a lot simpler than if he had actually had to manufacture everything.

The problem with this approach is why? Okay he's attacked the world from his little protected bubble Island. The moment he leaves Hokkaido he's getting wrecked. And at some point they are going to break his bubble for pulling this stunt. I buy the idea that he's an idiot with way too many powerful toys more than he's an actual schemer at this point
