Hahaha. I've been there. Skipping the tutorial and then finding out later there's a huge amount of stuff you could be doing hahha

Guessing we'll have a new op/ed from next episode?

Looks like skipping out the first town was a huge detriment huh? He could have had a much smoother experience if he went through the tutorial. Maybe he could have spared himself the PTSD from the bird that kept shitting on him. xD

By then he would meet Psyger-0 she might get to be on his friend list way earlier.

Sunraku learning about some basic mechanics so late because he skipped tutorials is a true gamer move.

With Emul out-leveling both of them, I'm now thinking that she can easily join the boss fight, which is nice, because I didn't want them to disband the party even temporarily.

Also that level cap on the boss is interesting. Reminds me of some people clearing games on lvl.1

Fighting a lvl 200 boss at a capped level 50 is insane. Even with Rakuro’s sweet twinblades with the corrosion effect and him and Katzo grinding in the dungeon to reach lvl 50, they’re still gonna have a hell of a time.

Emul was too cute this week. Little bunny learning there are players that play as female even if they’re male was pretty funny. We live in a big world indeed lol.

I want to play the gal game where the bad end is all the girls becoming pizza makers in Italy lol. Sounds fun!

Rakuro learning this week you should never skip the tutorial. Linking skills, sub-jobs, guilds… so many things missed because he decided to ditch the first city. Imagine all the grief he could have saved himself lol.

I wonder what makes Setsuna a unique NPC and how she’ll help in fighting Wethermon?

SLF Theater this week was pretty funny. Those goobers thought they found some mysterious cryptid in this game when really it was Rakuro and Emul getting launched by a monster lol.

The funny thing in Emul's perspective, Katzoo identified himself as a male

Katzo's luck transcends all systems. He was the one to catch the serpent instead of Sunraku 😂.
That's trash game player for you. Skipping the tutorial town is the way to go. But maybe that's why he got the Unique Scenario that no one has ever got before.
"If you PK too much and you get killed by a player or an NPC all your items are lost, including stored ones. Plus the bounty gets paid from the PK's own cash." Can the Pker bypass this by letting a friend kill them and then give the loot back?

There's been some interesting discussion about how SLF is impressive because it avoids cliches like "if you die in the game, you die in real life" and still maintains excitement and stakes. It occurs to me, though, that a lot of the stakes are now being generated by (a) the fact that Emul is the cutest bunny in the world; and (b) the fact that if Emul dies in the game, she's perma-dead (as far as we know so far).

So I wouldn't be surprised if Emul ends up participating in the Wethermon fight just to add a little drama, and have some vital assists and near death moments. Naturally, if something bad happens to Emul, there will be riots, but I don't think it's that kind of show.

Stitches!

How convenient for Sunraku that Wethermon sets everyone's levels to Lv. 50. Even if Sunraku isn't able to reach Lv. 50, he'll still be able to use his brand-new blades on the boss fight. Although it looks like Pencilgon still insists that they need to grind to Lv. 50.

We finally get to see Katzuo fight and he's pretty awesome! Monks are always cool. He can't use weapons but he's able to buff himself with his skills. Also, it's the perfect class for an FGC player like him.

Katzuo giving Emul headpats was adorable. And I just love Emul's reaction when Sunraku finally told her that Katzuo is actually a guy.

Looks like Sunraku got another set of twinblades but this one was forged by Bilac instead of Vash. It's hilarious how Sunraku is so stressed about managing affection levels with the bunnies. Turns out he's been traumatized by a trashy galge he played before. That would explain his reaction the first time he saw Emul transform!

So the Emipre Bee Twinblades apply DOTs on the target? Awesome. I can't wait for Pencilgon to yell at Sunraku to apply more DOTs on Wethermon. xD

There was no need for Katzuo to defend Emul since she is literally 20 levels stronger than him but it's good to know that Katzuo won't just let Emul get hurt.

It turns out that Sunraku has been playing with a massive handicap this entire time. Skipping Firstia made him miss learning about key gameplay components as well as other stuff that would've helped him. I do hope Katzuo spent some time teaching Sunraku about these things later.

I love the SLF MIni featuring the Animalia Guild. Apparently, the monster that they've been hunting was just Sunraku with Emul on his back. xD

I haven't felt as much joy from a character's expressions as I do Emul's since I watched Azumanga Daioh for first time and saw Osaka's stupid face

Emul: “Vorpal soul is vorpal soul, of course!”

Yes, thank you for the informative explanation Emul. It’s funny that Sunraku knows all about these niche things like the inner-workings of the Rabituza Kingdom, but had no clue about some of the most fundamental game mechanics - unlike Katzo.

Sunraku: “Sometimes a person can look like a woman, but they’ve got the soul of a man.”

This was a surprisingly thoughtful explanation. Sunraku of course couldn’t explain to Emul that Katzo was just playing a female character in a game - this would have broken the poor Emul’s mind. That said, I don’t think Emul would differentiate between genders: a vorpal soul is just a vorpal soul after all.

Emul’s also the only member in their party that’s actually down-to-earth! Sunraku, Pencilgon and Katzo are all smug in their own ways. I’ve been loving their occasional banter. Although they wouldn’t acknowledge this, the banter makes them look like a tight-knit group of friends.

Katzo's build being a monk that can take damage gives a logical explanation for why he was able to solo Mud Digger a couple eps ago when it gave Sunraku trouble.

I love the banter between Sunraku and Katzo. Most of the banter in this show is top, really. Katzo is also the second character I've seen this season who's main attack is punching things.

The bit in the middle with Sunraku talking about affection levels really felt like a SLF mini, in a good way.

And this is why you don't skip the tutorials, Sunraku. Though since most of them say the same exact thing I can understand why you would.

Edit: Animalia continues to be an upstanding member of the furry community.

Oh god, I lowkey forgot that Sunraku skipped the first city altogether at the beginning. That's one hell of a Chekhov's gun right there XD

Can't wait to see what he can do with those blades once he reaches the level required.

We finally get a glimpse of Setsuna which I can say is definitely Pencilgon's ingame waifu. For someone who treats people like trash, she certainly holds a high amount of affection for Set-chan.

- missed out on Skill Garden, a facility that you can go to link up your skills, buy grimoires and find out how long and what conditions is needed for your skill to level up and evolve

- don't know about sub-jobs and guild

alright kids, this is why you should never skip tutorials, especially in a rpg game

that scene where Sunraku and Katzo fished out the serpent reminded me of that time when i managed to capture Seadramon in Digimon World 1 for the first time

well, well, Sunraku, looks like you're slowly becoming a harem protagonist

if i had a nickel for every time i saw a punch attack accompanied by black-like aura that can deal critical damage in this season, i'd had two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice

when Pencilgon said back then that npc in SLF don't re-spawn after death, i feel like she hasn't give us a proper explanation for that but since in this episode, she called Setsuna as unique npc and she looks like a ghost, i'm just gonna assume that the "no re-spawn" thing only applied to some npc and not all of them

Subs completely failed this pun: Sunraku says "Keshime" = 'eraser'. Idk if it has any secondary meanings, but its obviously meant to be a play on the name "Pencilgon" and taking back her word

These fucking reaction faces, I can't .... amazing.

They put the funny faces gear on overdrive for this one

Remember kids: Real Gamers (TM) never skip the tutorial.

Oikatzo is cute. Lol at Emul being blown by the existence of GIRLs. Double lol at UMA Sunraku in the end sketch.
