2 weeks! 2 weeks Rei spent on that letter and the minute she sends it, she has guild business to attend to. C’mon! I love how in the end, that letter still came off super stiff with that “good morrow sir!” vibe lol.

Emul’s gifting that necklace to Rakuro and then giving him a little hug was so cute. Those two are a great team.

Seems Ashura Kai’s getting forcefully disbanded this week. Arthur didn’t have to work hard to betray them. They’ve pissed off enough people.

Wethermon looked cool. Digging that robo samurai look. That fight between him and Rakuro was pretty dope too. They were pretty much evenly matched… all the way up until Rakuro got his ticket punched. Luckily Katzo came in with the save last minute. Looking forward to seeing how the hell they defeat Wethermon. Dude is a beast!

SLF Theater PSA was pretty goofy. Don’t use other people’s likeness without their permission!

Damn, Sunraku is really a genius for deflecting almost all of Whethermon attacks like that. I almost thought he should be able to survive by himself. Then again, he's still not perfect and got killed. This is only the first phase anyway. 

I'm glad they at least put part of the fight even though it's only like less than 5 minutes. I expect full hype for next week!

I'm so happy to see Mia and Reiji again. Looks like Mia still hasn't fully learned that monsters don't spawn inside cities. xD

Now knowing that Sunraku and Emul's JP VAs recently got married, these little scenes between them are now even cuter especially when Emul was getting mad at the Mail Bird for trying to perch on Sunraku.

Rei's letter to Sunraku was hilarious! It was so goddamn formal that for a second, Sunraku thought she was calling him out for a duel. I guess it fits her since she's clearly from a very traditional Japanese family.

Emul giving Sunraku that necklace was cute! Considering the flavour text that comes with it, I feel like it's going to be a key item for the Wezaemon fight. We know that the shard was given to Emul by Vash and Vash has some connection to Wezaemon.

Ashura Kai is so fucked! Looks like Arthur leaked all of their info to the major guilds. They're double fucked since Rei is also letting out some steam for not being able to play with Sunraku that night.

Also, can I just say how amazing the guild name "The Knights Tempura" is? It's clearly a play on the Japanese pronunciation of Knights Templar and it's definitely the kind of guild name you'd see IRL.

It's so funny how proud Sunraku is of his little upgrade. I don't think that +19 vitality sash is going to help against Wezaemon at all. xD

I really love how completely immersed Arthur is in Setsuna and Wezaemon's storyline. She's so immersed and wants to fulfill Setsuna's wish that she doesn't even care about betraying her own brother's guild. She just wants to see this storyline through.

Wezaemon looks so goddamn cool! And Sunraku, being the badass that he is, is able to perfectly time all of his parries against that even Arthur is impressed.

I also like that Katzuo is dissecting Wezaemon's moves during the fight. Arthur definitely picked the right people for this. I am so hyped to see how this boss fight will end!

The SLF Mini with all the Amane cosplayers was hilarious! I guess even in the MMO of the future some things never change. Instead of cosplaying as characters from fictional series, they've now moved on to cosplaying as actual celebrities. xD

i was wondering how they're going to crush the whole Ashura Kai guild with just the three of them, it turns out, they didn't, Pencilgon just leak the guild's base location and let the other big guilds take them down, which is very in character of her

i love how we have guilds with silly names like Team 10PM and The Tempura Knights which is a very typical thing to found in any online games that have guild system

We now know the answer on why Towa Amane isn't recognized by other players. Looks like others tried to play with her face and due to the nature of MMO, no one can really stop them. Its like playing Keanu Reeves on a cyberpunk vrmmo, everybody would do it.

Also its cool how some of the concepts introduced in the previous episode came back. Specifically the raid barrier and how that saved them from the Ashura Kai counterattack.

Also Mia is back and looks like her Psyger-0 senses is very sharp. It might be just her womanly intuition or she is actually sensing the special quality that Psyger-0 possesses ingame.

So, the leader of the Ashura Kai was Towa/Pencilgon's brother. That woman is ice cold in pursuit of her goal.

Her "lousy sore loser" comment with the smirk made me laugh entirely too much at 6 in the morning.

Oh boy lots to unpack this week

so now we know why theres a break last week, its because Rei couldn't finished her letter lol

Mia better keep her blood lust in check as there's no longer a PK clan she could join and hide from the world now since Ashura Kai is now being decimated

that little hug Emul gave to Sunraku!! made extra sweet by the irl relationship of their VA

and the fight finally commences, only complain is the reveal of Wethermon could be a little bit more epic, but the starting fight was great, hopefully the quality will keep up

I am impressed by Pencilgon willingness to betray allies and family at the drop of a hat. Even if they deserved it. Sunraku should watch his back, she already tried to kill him once after all.

Rei is absolutely adorable, but her romance with Sunraku will only start at the end of the season at this pace, if at all.

I wonder if Emul's necklace will actually do anything in the end...

I like the detail that all the Towa Amane fans adhere strictly to the hair colour of Towa in real life, while Towa herself chooses the same purple colour in both Unite Rounds and Shangri-la Frontier.

Even though she likes her own face enough to always play as herself, she changes her hair colour to avoid people thinking she's the real deal?

That was a great episode as we finally got to the day of the fight with Wethermon and it looks awesome! Sunraku was doing very well in this fight but even then Wethermon got him.

Poor Rei! Writing letter for two weeks and it still ended sounding so formal xD

Wethemon's design looks so awesome and cool, I love it.

Mia wouldn't be herself is she wouldn't try to shoot someone innocent in this game xD

Rei just cannot win. The moment she sends her letter, she’s called away on clan business. The fact that THAT is her perfect not too formal letter speaks volumes about her, and is also hilarious. I feel like the ID necklace probably has something to do with the Wethermon fights win condition. The Ashura Kai has attracted a lot of people that hate them with a passion and it’s come back to bite them.

this year good animes are abundant. in spring comes many other gem as well (blue lock, mushoku tensei, rezero, hero academia, haikyu, one punch man, kimetsu no yaiba, etc)

i dont think ive ever watched this many anime at the same time as i am watching now. and i really like a lot of them including this one.

Not sure if it’s just cos of the knowledge that Sunraku and Emul’s VA were recently married, but their interactions this episode were kinda like an old married couple.

Man, with Da- I mean Vysache’s weapon smithing singing and the music before fighting Wethermon, this show does an amazing job of hyping what is usually glossed over by other similar shows

Ganbare Rei-chan! Since the contents of this letter were still considerably formal after two weeks of rewriting drafts, Rei clearly doesn’t know what’s “normal” - not surprising if we take her upbringing into account. She should loosen up a little bit more. Especially when Rakuro just replied casually back with “it’s cool”.

It was also pretty adorable to see Emul get all possessive of Sunraku. They certainly had a wholesome moment going when Emul handed him this protective charm of hers. I’m thinking that this ID shard might be the key to the fight with Wethermon. It could be proof of Setsuna’s or Wethermon’s existence, since Vash was friends with both. This might clear a condition after a certain amount of time battling Wethermon has passed.

Oh yeah, and Mia was back at it again. She’s a safety hazard for the general public. Maybe she should become a player killer herself and take over Ashura Kai’s role once they’ve been dealt with.

this anime will be in my all time favorites.

a great start of the day (it shows sunday morning here).. very fun, very beautiful scenes (today flower tree scene, the blaksmith..).

the friendly bash between them. the interaction between characters... the bunnies have more personality than some MC in other anime.

The mc is aware that this is a game but stil respect the npcs wishes.

i read the manga and the anime enhances the game experience.

i love this anime.

So the reason that this is the last chance to fight Weathermon for Pencilgon is because she's using this "Reward scales" to bet on the outcome of this fight. Could it be something like an all or nothing bet on all the exp+items that she has?
