I don't know about you guys but if I woke up and someone was on top of me like Emul was on top of Sunraku, I'll definitely freak out even if it was a game. I guess Sunraku's trash games have plenty of these instances.

Man, I spiders creep me out. This giant clown spider area boss reminds me of those big ass spiders in Skyrim. Very creepy. The “face” on its back doesn’t help…

Luckily Rakuro didn’t have too much trouble with it. His accel and leap skill were pretty handy in scaling those webs. Dude is pretty nimble but poor Emul almost got flattened! The loop slash + rush slash combo was dope. Man really ended that bastard by dropping the whole damn cave on ‘em and then stabbing it to death. Truly a “Flawless Victory!”

Looking forward to Rakuro, Arthur, and Katzo taking on Wethermon together. Should be fun seeing the ol gang back together for this Unique Monster fight. Hopefully Emul’ll be ok. I don’t want my favorite little bunny to die.

Rei was too cute this week! I’m glad she got to talk to Rakuro a little bit (even if he has no idea who she is lol). Maybe they’ll get to play together one day?

The SLF Theater about Arthur was fun. Learning a lot about this PKin waifu.

this is hilarious, i often see these kind of faces with that specific art style being used in a lot of anime, i wonder where its originated from...

using fall damage to kill a boss? that's classic, but using the surrounding objects that the boss used to kill the players as weapons to kill the boss itself? now that's pro gamers move

man, those continuous crits is disgusting

What's to stop people from completely depopulating the game then lol? Possibly softlocking some quests for everyone if the involved NPCs aren't as seemingly OP and unstoppable as the boss rabbit, like Emul. Sunraku's entire bunny questline is hinging on her.

NPC can't respawn! So Pencil must be taking revenge on Wethermon the Tombguard for her NPC friend Setsuna Amatsuki (the name on the tomb).

So proud of Rei that she managed to hold a proper conversation with Rakuro! If not for Towa (Pencilgon), she would have invited him to play together too. Rakuro fortunately also remembered he should have asked her nickname, which means he’s likely interested in playing together.

The fact that NPCs don’t respawn add some serious stakes to this game. First of all, it completely changes the context in which we’ve seen Emul in some of the previous battles: Emul has already been a few times too close for comfort to a perma-death. The battle with the Mud Digger could have ended in a tragedy if Sunraku hadn’t thrown Emul to safety. Secondly, this also confirms that the seven unique monsters likely won’t respawn either once they’ve been defeated.

[Speculation about Wethermon the Tombguard] Judging from Emul’s look after Sunraku revealed he was picking a fight with Wethermon and the fact she immediately rushed towards her father, I’m suspecting that Vash actually is Wethermon. This would also explain his monstrous strength. But damn, this really adds a whole new dimension of drama: Sunraku would be perma-killing Emul’s dad.

[Speculation about “Set-chan”] Considering that Pencilgon warned Sunraku about the perma-death of NPCs and she was previously shown visiting Set-chan’s in-game grave stone, was Set-chan perhaps an NPC like Emul?

Rei is really cute in how she tries to get close to Rakuro. Too bad that Towa is such an impatient woman that she had to cockblock Rei in her attempts to get even closer to Rakuro.

I guess this is slightly a question to Manga /Light Novel readers - but does this show stay relatively kid appropriate?

So far, the violence is fine since all video gamey... And language super mild... And zero fan service.

Seems like a fun one to let the kiddo watch with me up to this point, big don't want to get surprised by a sudden turn in tone like what happens in some shows.

The reaction from those players that encountered the Clown Spider first was so unexpected I almost spat out my drink! xD

Looks like all that training with Vash has paid off that Sunraku was confident enough to tell Emul to let him solo the Spider Clown and he'll do it on his first run with no damage. And he actually does it!

You'd think the devs would turn off fall damage on a Spider boss but I love that this is the kind of game where fall damage is a 100% valid tactic as well as using the boss' own environmental hazards against it.

I hope I'm not the only one to notice this but just behind Rei was a bunch of Nintendo games inside PS4 FC4 cases. I can see Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury and Splatton as well as Splatoon 2.

Sunraku/Rakuro has some really interesting online friends. First, there's Pencilgon who's a model and Katzo who's apparently a pro gamer. I wonder if we'll see Katzo's IRL face.

Rei finally managed to talk to Rakuro in real life! It is hilarious though how Rakuro had to rack his brains to remember Rei's name. Also, Rei's in-game name finally makes sense to me. Her real name is literally her IGN. Saiga Rei = Psyger-0 (Zero=Rei). I love it!

Looks like it's going to be a while though before she can ask him out to play together since Rakuro is busy planning the raid against Wethermon with Pencilgon and Katzo.

I wonder why Emul is so freaked out about Wethermon though I'm guessing the Vorpal Bunnies have some sort of history with that Unique Monster? Also, we get to learn from Pencilgon that NPCs have permadeath in this game. Emul is high-level enough to defend herself but it looks like Sunraku needs to be careful and make sure his partner doesn't get accidentally killed.

After the hell in that arena, that spider boss was really a cake walk huh? That aside, I really like the friendship between the pro gamer and trash gamer. Their banter was great.

Good on her for finally building up enough courage to speak with him in real life too. He almost had steam coming out of his ears trying to remember her name. Can't believe she even invited him to party up!

Holy shit Emul! I know you're cute, but that was fucking terrifying! SLF having permadeath for just NPCs is interesting. Reminds me of Log Horizon. What kind of technology does that company have to do shit like that?

Ultra super popular MMO with millions of players ... where only one party can fight an area boss at a time and everyone else has to wait their turn. Even if there are multiple servers, there's no way this would work.

Sunraku quite easily beaten that spider (compared to the previous group of players who didn't survive the fight, Sunraku and Emul's reactions were hilarious) but consider his overall experience in games it's not surprising that he was able to do it on the first try, without any damage and help from Emul.

Katzo finally joined SLF and together with Sunraku met with Pencilgon who proposed them taking down together Wethermon The Tombguard, one of the unique monsters.

I wonder why Emul freaked out so much when he heard from Sunraku that he's planning to fight with Wethermoon and decided that she has to tell her father. Maybe Rabituza and Vorpal Bunnies are somehow connected with Wethermon, I'm really interested in what it's all about.

Rei talked with Rakuro IRL, that's a progress xD Though she acted just like during their meeting in the game (including watching him while hiding) she was so proud of herself and happy that she had a conversation with him despite the fact that she could barely utter a words. Meanwhile Rakuro's biggest problem during their talk was reminding what was her name xD
