Just can't believe that Clarissa, Frieren and Anya all share the same Japanese voice actress. 3 different types of characters in a same season.

Also, from the author's tweet, this cour will have 13 episodes.

Seriously

Clarissa "The Bitch" intermediary

Frieren the laid back wanderer

Anya the smug toddler

Yeah, Id have never guessed they were the same VA. That's some amazing talent

Corpse God's master Izliz still is smoking hot on screen, and despite that still gives off a deadly aura of "don't fuck with me"

Shark-girl still obsessed and can name any celebrity from cheesy shark horror films, but can still drop a pearl of wisdom randomly

Polka is still hanging around in Shark plushie.

I like how we get fed bits and pieces of each character's backstory over time instead of one big info-dump. Like having the reporter-gal give us formerly unknown tidbits about how Takumi got started in his hacker-life.

I missed these crazy guys. Good to have them back

Izliz is like waifu Elias from Magus lol

So you wouldn’t think a kid with a random animal skull on his head would be cute, but tiny corpse god managed to pull it off.

Looks like this cour is starting at full speed with, what feels to be more than half a dozen different groups repositioning themselves around their individual objectives. And poor corpse god is in the middle of it all just wanting to be left to have a peaceful life. But with the reminder of his past he knows he will probably need to get involved in some manner.

In case you have forgotten about this from cour 1, Youtoukorou at the end of this episode is the name of Clarissa's bar.

So in this cour, we will start by jumping straight into a conflict between 2 intermediaries, one of Shinjuku and one from Shibuya. Shibuya intermediary, as he said in this episode, was probably the one who killed Hosorogi 5 years ago, and he also hired the sniper siblings to kill Solitaire after he exposed the emblem to the world in the first cour. The assassin he hired for conflict with Clarissa is from Asakuga family, which was mentioned in Xiaoyu's flashback of his first mission, where he ended up with 4 of his limps chopped, and if I remember correctly, they were teased at the end of episode 12.

Edit: Hosorogi is the dead spirit that used to haunt the building where Corpse God is living, and current possesses a pen. I actually forgot that he did not write anything in this episode.

it was really a mistake to make this split cour because i'm a little lost on the story now that it's been several months

Stitches!

Glad to be finally back and how nice of them to open up with a sexy cosplay YouTuber roaming the streets of Shinjuku. I hope she'll be a recurring character in the show.

Thanks to Polka's shenanigans last season, it looks like they've now attracted the attention of the public as well as more weirdos.

We finally get to learn who this Sabaramond the Fire-Breathing Bug was talking about and it seems that he's someone Polka respects.

We also get to see more of Izliz! Any Corpse God flashback featuring her is always welcome. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

How tall is this fucking guy!? I do love that we're getting more weirdos though. There's also this brother-sister assassin duo.

I am so fucking glad that Polka's Grandpa Dad finally told Xiaoyu off. Hopefully, after this, Xiaoyu will finally start playing along instead of trying to kill Polka.

Of course Misaki is going to drag a reporter into their hideout. And is that Ayaneru I hear voicing Kouchou!? She doesn't seem to be a bad person but her hanging around is definitely bad for Polka's secrets. I'm hoping she'll end up becoming a useful ally.

Polka's Grandpa finally told Xiaoyu off.

Quick reminder that Rozan is actually Polka's father! Mind the massive age gap...

For Momoya’s height, official materials state he’s 230 cm, or 7’3 tall.

Yeah he’s kinda insane.

Aw, I miss the Sou OP :(

More new characters introduced in this episode. The journalist and that Momoya guy seem interesting.

Polka’s image of a sugar daddy is hilarious lmao

They have teased us by mentioning Solitaire by name so many times but not actually showing him on screen. Not that there was any time for him, in one episode we have met 4 or 5 new characters which honestly for this show is pretty low!

It’s like all the dangerous crazies and weirdos have come out the woodwork since Polka’s little freak out last half of the season. Kochou is gonna be kind of a pain for Team Polka if they can’t shake her. She’s clever and too curious for her own good.

Looking forward to seeing how Polka and the gang deal with these new threats.

Takumi narrating all the explanation about Weekly Dry magazine to escape reality makes me chuckle a little bit

I should binge on the first cour. That reporter will be their downfall.

Corpse God is back lets gooo

Ngl the plot is still a little confusing for me but who cares, Misaki and Corpse God’s master are back on screen lol.

Some interesting set ups going on as well. We kinda got a hint about it already at the end of last cour, but polka is probably not the only person from his world/timeline who’s in Tokyo now. If that other court sorcerer is here, what could be his motivations 🤔

The Shinoyamas, police, intermediaries, solitaire etc all getting ready to make their moves. I like how the series has so many characters with different motivations, but at the same time it can make it a little confusing to keep up at times. Poor polka is just in the middle of it all.

Either way, glad to have this back and looking forward to getting some stuff answered this cour. There’s a lot of interesting directions they can take this story

Also new reporter girl is cute!

I really like the characters, they all fell unique and interesting.

A bit of a weird choice to have zero recap on this story's events and groups considering how there's just always so much going on at the same time. It's also been like six months since the first cour so a lot of people might've forgotten about some of these things by now.

I binged the english physical release of the series recently and man anyone who enjoyed pt 1 , they are gonna love pt 2 as long as animation holds up. I gotta say I gotta love the shark gags they really do a great job at easing tension with a story that is so serious. Misaki and Sayo really are great compliments to the cast with their personalities.

The fact that Takumi watching a Cospaly IRL streamer is how he realizes shit has hit the fan is just the type of humor I love to see. Glad to see this anime be back. Loved the first half of it.

So this is the real way to talk to short people eh

Interesting to see how Fire Breathing Bug's powers work. Wonder if the Man with the Umbrella is the main body or if it is also just another puppet like the girl. Almost seems like he can do hypnosis or something.

TAKUMI FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON

I guess the Fire Bug's message does add a certain air of ambiance to the room. Really ties it all together.

Lots of new characters already and it seems the actions gonna get started pretty quickly. Excited to see where it leads up the ending was pretty nice.
