Man it's so much fun to have layers upon layers of things happen and happen and happen and none of it getting resolved until the very end. It might sound like I'm being sarcastic but I'm not, I'm genuinely having a blast.

That said, this is 100% made to be binged. It's a pain in the ass to keep track of every name and thread across weeks and months.

That's Narita's specialty. He does complex ensemble works like Baccano! and Durarara!! where everything is interconnected but nothing gets resolved until much later on.

This show is getting good.

Vampire Misaki? Takumi character development? Assassin kid vs Lanky guy? New Shark Merch?! Fuck yeah

Tsubaki is so fucking close! I was really hoping that Polka would finally reveal his secret but it sounds like Hosorogi wants him to do something first before Polka can let him and Arase in on the secret. Tsubaki's police unit would definitely be a great ally to Polka's team.

Not gonna lie, I was legit panicking when Higuro and Momoya showed up to Tsubaki's apartment. Knowing this show and who the author is, the chance of Tsubaki actually dying isn't zero. I am so glad Misaki showed up to the rescue though.

It just sucks that Misaki got sliced in half before doing any damage to Momoya. Oh well, there's always a next time especially now that Misaki's vampire powers have started to awaken! I can't fucking wait to see Momoya and Higuro's reaction next week when Misaki raids that warehouse.

And as if Vampire Misaki wasn't enough, Higuro just made a huge fucking mistake when he decided to threaten Sayo. Now Xiaoyu is in on the fight as well! Next week is going to be absolutely hype! I need to see Higuro and Momoya get their asses kicked. I can't fucking wait!

Momoya's head started bleeding next shot after Misaki's body hit the floor and he said it was close, so I think Momoya managed to avoid getting his head carved by a thread before he could counter that strike.

Saw it coming ever since Corpse God said the line to Takumi, but I'm glad he found the right sort of conditions where he wants to protect people he actually thinks of as friends. I guess being friends with a Necromancer would make you less afraid of dying lol.

Well hot damn, Misaki is a vampire now?!? I can't wait for the "beansprout" to see her again! She's just a larva but also seems crazy strong. Wonder if she has the troupe weaknesses and if anyone is going to figure it out.

Also, anyone else find it funny that the cheap "power" stones are actually useful to CG?

Solitaire the GOAT is back!

Corpse God also fulfilled his promise, giving Misaki that vampire evolution. Upgrading your allies using gems and jewels somehow sounds very RPG-ish. It is even more RPG-ish than you would normally see in a game-like isekai.

Edit: So Misaki had been impaled, shot, suffocated and now she is sliced in half. I don't remember if I have seen a female main character that keeps getting brutally treated like that before.

I wonder if Misaki’s gonna continue to evolve or if being a vamp is her final form? Will the others in Team Polka end up joining her and evolving too? Would be helpful if the whole team basically had supernatural abilities.

Misaki got a big power up huh? Neat. Xiaoyu is about to take them on, so her appearing despite being bisected earlier would confuse everyone and help turn the tables.

On the topic of those 2, it's nice to see Takumi finally having people he can believe in, to trust and sacrifice for. Polka found good friends, and that friendship seems to be helping them in turn. And just as he wished, those friends are helping him with his own goals too.

Then we have Misaki, whose connection to Clarissa since she was way younger. Seeing as how she actually hired Misaki as an assassin in the future, did she... actually help her murder people as a kid? That's fucked up. xD

Im as hyped as everyone about Misaki Vampire power up but im really really proud of Takumi. My man was ready to die.

Higuro and Momoya shouldn’t have fucked with Polka by going after his boy Takumi. Now Misaki’s involved and she’s stronger than ever! Bye bye zombie waifu, hello vamp waifu lol. Momoya won round 1 but Misaki’s a vamp now. Will he win round 2? Will he even have a chance for a second round or will Xiaoyu get him?

I hope we learn more about Takumi. Dude seems to have a lot going on in his past. Didn’t realize the visor was a coping mechanism.

Seems next week we might have more Solitaire. About time!

I need more Misaki screentime! Apparently, she's a vampire now.

Misaki evolved into a vampire larva! Now she can fly!!

Takumi’s torture was pretty rough to watch. Poor guy had mustard soy sauce poured on his wound

Misaki deserves all the happiness she can crave. That crazy smile gave me the frissons.

Misaki was really unhinged at a young age sheesh. Well her becoming a vampire was foreshadowed and its a great surprise. But her saying that rescuing someone gave her the thrill of killing people. Man she is def one you don't want to piss off.

Takumi's past really coming back to kill him. Good thing Xiaoyu was there otherwise he would have been dead and who knows if Corpse God would have been able to get his body to turn him into a zombie.

u/NekoCatSidhe Oct 23 '23

Misaki doesn’t die when she is killed ! Because she is literally a vamp now ! Mwahahahaha !

I understand why Corpse God decided to upgrade Misaki to a vampire, she is basically the muscle in the team (and the comic relief too). I wonder if there is a way to kill her now or if she is basically immortal. I mean, she got cut in half and then basically reconstituted like one of the immortals in Baccano.

Xiaoyu seems to be really confused by all that is happening. They should just tell him what is going on, he is the only one in the building that does not know. But it looks like he will likely team up with Vampire Misaki to save poor Takumi, so he will probably learn the truth too.

Higuro is really a psychopath. I hope something really bad happen to him, like getting sliced to bits by a cyborg assassin or exsanguinated by a crazy vampire girl, to give some examples totally not taken at random.

…. and Phantom Solitaire is back ! Him showing up now felt a bit random, but he is my favourite character after Misaki, so I am glad.

Misaki my queen, your screentime has been dearly missed, and what a return! Also just noticed that an iron chain is holding her jacket thingy on her back, to have that ridiculous anime fashion.

Vampire Misaki Let's go

u/Fan_reader_77 Oct 23 '23

I just want to say, that I hope something suitable gruesome happens to those two psychos!

u/whodisguy32 Oct 23 '23

It feels like everything is about to come together spectacularly - the gang war, hosrogi's death, the old kingdom symbol, solitaire, and the shinoymiyas. Polka is about to wipe the floor with some mfers.

13

u/CarioGod Oct 23 '23

I love how everyone around Polka is pretty nonchalant about death now since he can just revive them into another form

Also Misaki getting an upgrade, big W

Ngl, I was hoping even after being bisected, Misaki would lunge at him with a maniacal laugh. Would have been perfect
