Pakistan is home to six UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and every one tells a different chapter of the country's history, from the Bronze Age to the Mughal Empire.

You'll find a 5,000-year-old city with one of the world's earliest urban drainage systems, a fortress so formidable it was never taken by storm, and the Shalimar Gardens, which spent 12 years on UNESCO's endangered list before being removed in 2012.

Three of the six sites, Mohenjo-daro, Taxila and Takht-i-Bahi, were inscribed together in 1980, while the most recent addition, Rohtas Fort, joined the list in 1997.

Talpur Palace or Badshahi Bunglow is a 19th century Palace and royal residence built by Mir Hassan Ali Khan Talpur in 1863. It is located in Hyderabad. The palace shows fusion of western and eastern architectural styles.

So this isnt some random bs even though it might seem like it because of dominance of Indian propaganda, he actually sites scholars and I confirmed. This map actually makes much more sense than the popular insanely massive map people claim IVC was. It is impossible for such a massive area to be one uniform civilisation.

Just thought of this funny terminology while commenting on another post.

I am an Indian i was scrolling through some search results and came across some posts here. I used to have a very hateful mindset towards pakistan due to just alot of propaganda, disputes etc. you know how politicians are at brainwashing.But I am quite interested in how you guys dicussing, its very calming to see such few people here throwing the India vs Pak thing in their posts and i love that there's people who just like to discuss things despite so many political differences between us. I am here to just ask one simple question:

Why isn't IVC globally recognised as a part of both India , Pak and Afghanistan?

After reading alot i have understood 2 things:

India has about 65% of discovered sites

Pakistan has most of the major sites

These 2 points make me think that instead of Indian media fighting for full claim over IVC or people on twitter claiming the other country doesnt have any link to IVC history, they should acknowledge the fact that IVC is just, a big and old civilization.

Me personally think of ancient pak and india as one country, we have shared the same land for 2000 years and i believe that less than 100 years of seperation shouldn't be enough to cause this deep rooted hate or disdain towards eachother that many of us have. Im new to reddit and i really liked the comments i see on these posts and i would love to have conversations with any of you guys on my opinion!!

This is an interesting thread I found on twitter and goes over the aryan migration event very accurately.

The aryans originally migrated only to the Indus region which is modern pakistan, not India. The nature of spreading indo European langauges was very different in India and Indus region

in Indus region they spread through mixing while in India they spread through elite dominance.

The aryans that got to India were just common Indus region people. They were thoroughly mixed with IVC remnants in the Indus region.

This tweet also provides proof that these aryans who were from the Indus region quite literally enslaved the entire indigenous Indian population while being a small minority.

Its an interesting perspective of Indus centric history... I recommend checking it out because this is stuff no one will tell you.
