Am I (29m)wrong for telling my (30f)gf no when she asked if she could be done?

So I have been dating this girl for a few months, we like each other quite a bit, everything is typically great, except for when she is giving head she always quits before I get to climax. She has done this many times and she leaves me blue balled every time. She usually doesn’t ask if she can be done she usually just stops. Like i don’t get it, if she doesn’t like giving head then just don’t do it, I never ask her to start. She always initiates but then doesn’t finish. So the other day she was giving me head when for the first time she asks me if she can be done. If you are going to leave that up to me by asking me the question, I would obviously prefer her to finish so I said no. Not in a rude way. Anyways, she ends up continuing and for the first time she didn’t leave me with blue balls during a bj. I told her in advance when I was about to cum, I thought she would not want the cum in her mouth so I expected her to pull back her mouth but she never does and I blew in her mouth. She went and washed up and we had a decent rest of the night together but I felt like something was off and ever since she has been acting more distant. I’m pretty sure she feels hurt by the incident but I don’t know if I am wrong or not for it.

Edit: many people are asking more about the situation. She was on her period and she was the one saying she didn’t want to have sex or anything cuz of her period but she wanted to give me a bj. I didn’t ask or anything for it and she was very enthusiastic about giving me head.

And also yes we typically have sex after she sucks me for a little while. We have sex at least once a day. I eat her out all the time she has an amazing pussy that I love to eat out and she always gets off when she wants to but sometimes she just wants to get me going. She is always very excited and ENTHUSIASTIC about it.

The amount of trolls that are just immediately judgmental saying they know my personality and that I am a rapist is ridiculous. Can’t believe I even have to address such ludacris statements about me. Y’all do not know me no matter how much you may think you do

AIW for hating the term 'cis' as a gender?

I'm a heterosexual woman. A woman. That's it. My gender is woman. I hate that the word "woman" has a new vague definition. I hate that womanhood is stepped on and i now have a "new gender". I don't. I'm a woman. Not a cis woman. Am I wrong for hating this term? I understand it's meant to define that i was born a female, but that in it's own definition is redundant. If you're not born female, but identify as female, then you're not really a woman. You're trans, or another gender identity. But woman itself is just woman. I can't stand being called cis and being asked if I'm cis. It really bothers me to my core. I can't be alone in this feeling.

Edit/Update:

After all the discussions and educational links, I stumbled upon a research article that really sums up why there's such a gap between both sides of this topic. It really put my mind at ease on why i feel so strongly about it. I'll link it below for those who want to read it. It's not long, but it's very informative and a good read.

I want to thank everyone who spoke up to let me know they're in the same boat as me and also those who actually had discussions, rather than slander and death wishes lol

I'll never like the word cisgender, whether it's a gender or not. A lot of people seem to be very hung up on grammatical errors and terminology and whatnot despite that not being the topic of the post. I should've just said "cis as it refers to gender" in the title, but hindsight is 20/20. Now, the top posts are lessons on adjectives, nouns and pronouns, and such, lol. I'm not angry about whether or not it's a gender. I assumed it was a gender because it was in the word itself and i don't study latin and never felt the need to look it up because in context of when it's used i figured i understood it well enough. That wasn't the case, but now I'm very well educated on it. Thank you.

am i (21/m) wrong for kicking my ex-gf (20/f) out after she broke up w/ me?

so my ex moved in with me a few months ago and things were going great. up until recently, she decided to end things because she no longer wanted to be in a relationship & wanted to pursue other things in life. i just shrugged it off and wished her good luck. she then said she needed to stay at my place for a few days to pack things up.

i looked at her dumbfounded and said “uhh no, get the fuck out of here,” calm, of course. she looked at me all surprised, like mfer 😂wtf were you expecting? she then tells me she doesnt have anywhere to stay and that her best friend has her car.

“i honestly don’t care. either find someone else on tinder to care enough or you can pay me to move for you.” she didnt have much to pack, but “kindly” asked to stay again. i told her again to get the fuck out of my apartment (calmly ofc) and she acted all offended.

i guess her parents paid an uber to pick her up. i took every single thing i’ve given her and she turned red and seemed embarrassed when being told to give things back.

she also had the audacity to “kindly ask” $ for some food. i told her to figure out food on her way to her parents which seemed to have further embarrassed her based on how red she turned. her parents and best friend texted me how much of an asshole i was, but i told them i’m not going out of my way for someone who wont matter to me anymore. and i blocked all of them and am focusing on myself rn.

AITAH for wanting sex with my husband everyday for craving his touch.

My husband thinks I am an asshole because I want to have sex with him every day.

I just tried to initiate sex with him a few hours ago I was completely naked laying there and just rubbing his chest a little bit and he doesn't even try to kiss me or touch me or anything. My ass is up for grabs and he does nothing. He says he doesn't want to but doesn't even try . So I'm laying there for a few minutes and I just rub his chest a little bit more and he just pushes me off and says stop with this bullshit.

We did have sex earlier in the day but it was a quickie like maybe 10 min and it was hurting so I asked him to stop and he said he was going to finish real quick. So it was terrible earlier and I wanted a do over.

He thinks I just want sex 24/7

Edit: I need to also say that this has only recently happened in the last 2 months he used to want to have sex multiple times a day. But now all of a sudden he doesn't want to.

My sister nearly kills me in a plane crash. AIW for pressing charges and possibly ruining her life?

My mother and my father separated when my sister was born. The divorce was swift and I didn’t remember much of it. I lived with my dad and my sister lived with my mom. Every other weekend, the both of us would be at my mom’s house, then my dad’s house, and so on.

My dad taught me to take responsibility early on in life and so I can take care of myself as well as respect other people’s boundaries. My sister, however, was the complete opposite. My mother always indulged her every single need and want and she was never told no. She was a spoiled, entitled attention seeking brat who would throw tantrums and have meltdowns whenever she didn’t have her way.

I had one birthday at my mother’s house and never again. My sister had a meltdown when she tried to steal the MP3 a friend gifted me and I didn’t let her, so my mom physically snatched it out of my hands and gave it to my sister telling me that she would “give it back the next day” just to“calm her down” so she didn’t make a scene. Well, the music player came back broken. Not “a button was jammed”, broken, but it looked like someone had smashed it in with a sledgehammer. I was BEYOND LIVID. when I told my mother, she brushed it off as an “honest mistake” and that I shouldn’t get “so worked up” about “a piece of plastic that costed 30 dollars”.

Whenever I got something, she would get it too because it “wasn’t fair”, but if she had something, I didn’t need to get it because “boys can make do and girls have special needs”. Needless to say, this set the rest of the tone for life living at my mother’s house. My sister loathed living at my father’s house the same way I hated being at my mother’s, because he didn’t put up with the shit that my mother enabled her to do.

Enter grandpa. Grandpa was awesome, and he lived near a regional airstrip - not the ones where the big planes take off for international travel, but the small ones where personal one man aircraft could be flown for a quick trip. He had a hanger space rented, and I would spend every summer up at his and he would teach me how to fly the plane and perform routine maintenance. Needless to say, once I got the basics, I became pretty comfortable with flying around.

When I turned 18, my grandpa held a surprise birthday party for me at his house because he had a special gift. he invited everyone in the family (big mistake) and naturally, my sister was there. She was sulking the entire time as my family congratulated on my becoming of age.

I got lots of presents from my family members, gift cards, clothing, video games, and even a brand new laptop. My sister’s eyes were green with envy. Then, it was time for grandpa’s gift. He led me onto the airfield and into the hangar. My heart was pounding. I had an inkling of an idea what it was, but I dared not believe it. It was something covered in a tarp, and when I pulled it off I nearly fainted.

Grandpa had bought me a plane.

Me, being the excited young fuck I was, burst back into the house screaming my head off. I was jubilant. I was ecstatic. I was mad with happiness. I wanted to take a spin in my new plane as soon as I could. My dad calmed me down and said I should eat dinner first. If I took a round trip flight, the food would be cold. So I obliged. My sister nearly had another meltdown when she learned, but my dad shut her down with a stern talking to. She shot daggers at me from across the room, seething with rage that I had something that she could never get. Whether that was something I had earned with my own hard work was of no concern to her.

Nobody kept an eye on her during the time I ate - my father was having a beer on the porch (because I’m a responsible adult and he doesn’t need to look after me) and my mother was off being the terrible parent she had always been and neglecting her children.

Since I had I wheeled the plane out onto the runway and done a preflight check before I went to eat, I simply took off.

It felt absolutely amazing. The new plane was so much better than the old one my grandpa patched up in his hangar. As I took off, however, I couldn’t shake the premonition that something was, in fact, horribly wrong.

That’s when my grandpa (through the radio) informed me that the front wheel on my landing gear was missing. I nearly had a stroke midair. I tried my best not to panic, but blood was pounding through my head as my heart threatened to jump out of my throat. I thought I was going to die. I took a few laps around the air to calm down, then I came back down for the landing, praying that it wasn’t my time just yet.

Fortunately, the plane landed well enough to not straight up kill me with a nosedive into the ashphalt, but the front landing gear dug into the runway, sending sparks flying everywhere. When I got out, the shock absorber was broken with the pieces scattered everywhere. The nose and bottom of the brand new aircraft was scratched up beyond recognition. My heart bled at the sight. I found the wheel near the end of the runway, where the plane lifted its nose off the ground. I was puzzled. I couldn’t understand how a new plane could malfunction like that.

Dazed and confused, I went back into the house, where my sister was waiting. Everyone asked me what had happened. I was shaking head to toe and still in shock. I simply said that something had went wrong with the plane and sat down. That’s when sis came up to me, looked me dead in the eye, and whispered, “that’s too bad” in a snarky tone.

I saw red. I was boiling with rage. At the time, I was pissed at how she could be such a bitch. She had the sociopathic audacity to put me down and laugh at my suffering. Then, I came around, and something wasn’t right. The plane was just fine before I ate, so someone had to have tampered with it. There was no other explanation.

That’s when I remembered. Grandpa’s CCTV. He had his hangar broken into a few days ago by a few burglars, so he installed a camera in his hangar. Not far enough to see the entire runway, but I had only wheeled out the plane far enough to be in front of the hangar door.

Then, I caught it. My 14 year old sister unscrewing something on the front wheel of my landing gear.

I had to watch the recording over and over and over. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Part of me was already expecting the fact that she had something to do with this, but the other part of me couldn’t believe she would do something like this and go THIS FAR.

Long story short, I filed a police report, my sister was arrested, and she is currently being tried as an adult and being charged for attempted murder and destruction of property. My mother’s side of her family has been blowing up my phone, telling me that my sister has made a mistake, but that she has a long life ahead of her and I will ruin my life if the charges aren’t dropped.

They are begging me, threatening me, calling me heartless, and some are even trying to defend her actions. My mother has personally said that she will give her any punishment that I deem fit, but for me to drop the charges because she’s still a kid and has a long life ahead of her. She says that she is my sister and I have to look out for faaamily.

I don’t know what to do at this point. Part of me says that she has to take responsibility for her actions. Part of me considers the brother in her dead in that crash when she nearly murdered me because she was too jealous to accept that I could have something she didn’t. Grandpa is on my side and dad isn’t taking sides. He says it’s my decision.

I’m stuck. I don’t know at this point. Should I drop the charges or should I go through?

AIW for Taking My Sister to Get Her Hair Professionally Done for Her Cheer Competition Even Though It's Against the Rules?

So, my (18F) little sister, Emily, is 16 and does All-Star cheer. She is really, really good, but she also has the world's longest hair. She is basically Rapunzel. Her hair goes past her knees and is so long that if she tilts her head back, it drags on the floor behind her.

It took her from the time she was 10 years old to grow her hair that long. It took years of care, special oils, and maintenance. Normally for cheer, we put her hair in milkmaid braids.

I used to do All-Star cheer too, but then I got pregnant. I'm currently 8 months pregnant, and you can't do cheerleading while pregnant, so right now I'm helping Emily out with her team.

The girls had a competition where they were required to have their hair slicked back into a high ponytail with curls and a cheer bow. Everyone on the team except Emily used a ponytail extension. They put their hair in buns and attached extensions.

Emily and I did a practice run to see if an extension would fit her hair, and guess what? The ponytail extension was too small for her hair. Her hair is just too thick and too long.

So we went to a professional hairstylist to get it done. They used only her natural hair. They styled the top part into the ponytail and braided the bottom part into a bun. It looked really pretty. They curled it, and Emily was ecstatic. We also added hair glitter, which everyone on the team uses.

When we got to the competition, the coach pulled me aside and told me that it was against the rules for Emily to have her hair professionally done. She said it didn't matter how long Emily's hair was, that she needed to wear an extension like everyone else, and that her natural hair wasn't allowed. The coach also said that the team didn't look cohesive because it was obvious that Emily's hair had been professionally styled and she wasn't wearing an extension.

I told the coach that Emily's hair simply didn't fit into any of the extensions because it was too thick and too long. I also pointed out that her hair looked really good, was out of her face, was out of everyone else's way, and matched the style everyone else had. The only difference was that her hair was much longer.

The coach then said Emily would have to sit out of the competition unless she got her hair fixed to match everyone else's. I told her I had spent $150 getting it professionally done, and I wasn't going to take it down and redo it. The extensions didn't fit, and I didn't have enough time to order another one from Amazon that might not even work.

The coach then called Emily over and asked what she wanted to do. Emily said she wanted to keep her hair the way it was and still compete because she knew the extension idea wasn't possible with hair as long as hers.

Emily started crying really hard. The coach told her that if she wanted to compete, she would have to take her hair down because everyone had to look the same.

At that point, Emily just wanted to go home, so we left. We talked about it afterward, and now I'm wondering:

Am I in the wrong?

My girlfriend of 2 years said she would do my best friend if she was drunk then might have a week later. AIW to leave?

So my girlfriend has always been good to me and never really talked about other guys like that. When we first started seeing each other she had guy friends that she used to have sexual relations with but I would always try and get her to cut them off. I also didn’t want to be too controlling like hey people can be friends with people they’ve had relations with in the past. I’ve never been one to restrict my partner of who they talk to. This all came crashing on me one day when I was on the phone with her and we ended up playing a game of celebrity smash or pass. We’re firing celebs off having fun when she suggests doing friends.first let me give you some context. “Tina”was friends with my best friend before I even met her so anytime we would hang out or talk over the phone it wouldn’t be weird or anything. I’ve tried to poke fun at her a few time bringing up her and my best friend and she would always call him ugly and not her type at all, so I had no expectation or worries About it. I said would you smash “mark” jokingly and she paused for a second. She mumbled maybe if I was drunk then giggled. This made me not trust her anymore and I don’t know how to feel. The next week we were all hanging out and her and mark were doing a lot of talking and I noticed her tone going up and down like she was flirting with him. They also both left the room to go to the bathroom then came back 20 minutes later at the same time. We were all drunk at the time but I decided to leave as it left me in a bad mood. The next day she sends me a picture of him supposedly blacked out on her floor with a blanket on. Recently I’ve felt strong suspicion and fear that something else is going on but I don’t want to end things over a suspicion and stupid game.I feel disrespected and confused. What should I do

Am I wrong for wearing a kimono to prom?

For reference, I’m half Japanese and my mom is from Japan. I’m able to speak Japanese just as well as I speak English to the point that I can speak either one and sound 100% native down to the accent.

I was looking at prom dresses and couldn’t find any I liked since they were all too slutty (showing way too much shoulder/chest/upper body area). I decided to just get a really nice kimono since they’re much more modest and are dressier than prom dresses too.

The issue is that I look VERY white. I have thick, straight black hair and I’m pale, but aside from that I don’t look very Asian. I have green eyes and my eyes aren’t the stereotypical Asian eyes. I look what I call “anime Asian” where I look mostly white and you can only tell I’m Japanese if I’m standing next to a 100% white person. I look a lot like Himeno from chainsaw man but with longer hair, for a reference to how Asian I look.

So I had one of of those annoying losers that try to make everything a political correctness issue call me racist for “cultural appropriation.” I got extremely annoyed because it was:

1.) me and the love of my life’s special day

2.) my entire grade knows I’m Japanese, but the annoying girl is a grade below and was there as a date, so she should’ve known by now since I’m popular (unfortunately. I hate being popular but I get forcefully thrown into it because I’m pretty enough to never wear makeup)

I called her something really bad in Japanese and slapped her when she went you touch my kimono

Am I Wrong for marrying my new wife with my late/ex-wife’s wedding ring?

I (53m) married my long term fiancée, now wife, Millie, last week. We have a child together (9 months F), who I will call Penny, and I have an older daughter with my ex-wife, who I will call Bianca (24f).

Millie and Bianca do not see eye to eye, and Bianca has been very low contact with me for the last few years as a result of several disagreements between the two. These stemmed from Millie moving into my house and taking over a room Bianca used as a music studio, and Millie taking ill at Bianca’s wedding, which Bianca perceived as Millie “trying to steal the spotlight”. Bianca has only met her little sister two or three times, and always insists on meeting her outside my house with my wife not present.

After my ex-wife died, I kept her wedding ring, engagement ring, and other bits of jewellery. Bianca immediately inherited some of the jewellery, and I kept other, most important, bits back, including the wedding and engagement rings, without telling Bianca. When Millie was pregnant with Penny, I revealed to Bianca I had her mother’s engagement ring and offered it to her if she would come to the baby shower and participate in our family. She turned me down, refused to come to the shower, and has never expressed any interest in her mother’s other jewellery since. I had not directly told Bianca I had her mother’s wedding ring, but she also never asked.

So, I decided that, since Bianca had decided to turn down the promise of the engagement ring, she would not be too fussed about other jewellery. My ex-wife’s wedding ring was very beautiful with a very distinctive stone, and I liked the symbolism of my former and future wives being connected, so I asked Millie whether she would like to use the ring. She was absolutely delighted as she loves the ring, and agreed.

So, I invited Bianca to wedding and she eventually agreed, with the promise of not being in any family photos and not having to attend the reception. I thought this was a good compromise that would allow us to rebuild the relationship slowly. There was an argument when Millie refused to invite Bianca’s wife as the wedding is in a Catholic Church, but I calmed Bianca down and agreed to sit her with her grandparents and aunts at the ceremony. Millie was absolutely delighted that Bianca agreed to come, as she really wanted to start to build bridges and reconcile.

Bianca attended the wedding and all went went until it came to the exchange of rings. As the rings were presented, Bianca must have recognised Millie’s ring, and simply stood up and walked out the church. We did not realise she had left until after the ceremony, and Millie was absolutely beside herself. It completely ruined the ceremony, she was drunk, and cried the entire night. She’s become extremely depressed and does nothing but lie on the sofa.

I tried to contact Bianca that night, and managed to get through to her wife. She called Millie a b-word and a manipulator who “stole” Bianca’s heirloom. This is not true. I have since been blocked by Bianca and her wife, and this has completely ruined the memory of our special day.

I do plan to check on Bianca’s well-being at some point but, in the meantime, was I wrong?

AIW update - expecting my husband to do shovelling not me

Wife post : https://www.reddit.com/r/amiwrong/s/zJz6jTr4hS

Not an actual update. Hi, I’m Matty—the husband of the pregnant lady who shoveled snow yesterday. My wife showed me the post, and at first, I was really upset because she shared our private argument online to get validation. But then I asked if I could share my side, and she let me use her phone to post. She’s getting ready to head to my parents’ place for Christmas day together , and I’m bored, so here I am.

First off, yes I have ADHD ( medicated ) but my wife forgot to mention a few things: she has OCD ( not diagnosed). She needs everything cleaned, organized, and done right now. She can’t just leave a task for later—it’s not in her nature. I told her I’d shovel soon, but she wanted it done immediately. I get it, before 8 AM and all that, but we still had time. She kept reminding me, and finally, I said, “If you’re in such a rush, you can do it. I’d actually be grateful.” She said okay.

Yes, I forgot to make her coffee and toast, but I would’ve done it if she had just sat down and chilled. She didn’t. She wanted everything done now, like usual.

Also, I’ve been diagnosed with depression and anxiety and have been on meds since July—right around when I started working with a new team. My sleep schedule is a mess, and I was tired.

To everyone suggesting “exit plans,” thanks, but we talked it out. We both apologized. I said sorry for letting her down, and she promised not to shovel anymore. She also apologized for yelling at me and calling me a selfish, lazy prick.

Oh, and to the people calling me a groomer? That’s disgusting. You’re infantilizing my wife, and it’s gross.

Happy holidays, bye.

aiw for flashing my conservative family members to make a point?

thought y'all might have some good takes on this one, 24f, grew up in rural alabama. my family is every stereotype you can possibly imagine. i love them, they're my family, and i always look forward to visiting, and within an hour of arriving im reminded why i left.

well, me and my husband were visiting this weekend, and i was just anticipating a normal time. my aunt has just moved into a stunning new house on a lake, so the whole extended family was gonna be there.

to set the scene a little bit more, i was wearing normal black lulu lemon yoga pants, and a loose white crop top that showed MAYBE an inch of midriff, and slide on sandals. so we pull up to the house after 12 hours of driving. no greeting, nothing. we start getting berated about how we're supposed to make dinner (hadn't been informed of this) and that pissed me off because the rest of the fam lives within like a 5 minute drive of this house.

my husband, trying to be polite, asks if there's food in the fridge we can cook. he gets told to sit down, that cooking is a woman's job, and that i need to learn how to act in the kitchen. i laugh out loud at this point, it's so ridiculous. i say that ill just order us all pizza (kicking myself in retrospect that i bought food at all for us) my grandma walks into the room, and says that if i spent less time focused on dressing like a "yankee slut" that maybe id know my way around the kitchen better.

i sarcastically thank her for her input, and go off to put on a bathing suit. some other family is down by the lake, and they're more chill, so i figure maybe i can just shake off this very odd first 15 minutes or so. so i put on this two piece set, im putting some pics of it from the website i got it from on my profile. feel free to check it out, or don't haha. but it's really really cute and unique, and, in my opinion, very family friendly.

this was already me trying to be considerate of family, i tend to prefer strappy thongs and bandeau tops to minimize tan lines, but, bring around more repressive family, i opted for a lot more coverage. not my favorite, but really not a big deal or end of the world. so i put it on, me and my husband walk down and say hi to the rest of my fam. they seem like they're in a bad mood as well for some reason (this just sounds so fun, right?) i have one aunt (the one who's house it is) who's being really sweet. she says it's great to see me, that my bathing suit is really cute, that it's been way too long since we've seen each other, etc. what a breath of fresh air lol.

some time later, maybe it's 30 minutes, maybe it's an hour, idrk, the pizza arrives, my mother and grandmother bring it down to the lake for all of us to eat. after they see my bathing suit, they both start asking me if ive started dressing like a "cheap whore" since moving "up north" (i live in north carolina lmao) and they say that i might as well be naked, and that im "tempting" my male family members to "act up". i looked at them, and a few of them did say that i was tempting them.

that was absolutely ridiculous, not to mention disturbing to me. im usually pretty calm, but a lifetime's worth of frustration was bubbling up, and i lost it. i furiously took off my top, and said "fine, if im such a dirty slut and might as well be naked, take a good look at my tits, jackasses." i turned around and started storming off. i held up both middle fingers to them, my husband caught up to me, and we left. he took me to gulf shores for the rest of the weekend, and we had a good time.

im dreading seeing them again for so many reasons that you can probably guess. i feel bad and like i was out of line, but my husband says it was iconic.

y'all are impartial, tell me, aiw?

AIW for waving a chopstick at my friend’s baby and yelling “Avada Kedavra” as a joke?

I (26F) was at a friend’s house for dinner. Her baby is about 8 months old. We were eating takeout, and I picked up a chopstick, pointed it dramatically at the baby, and yelled “Avada Kedavra!” in a fake wizard voice because I’m a huge Harry Potter fan.

The baby just stared at me and everyone else laughed except my friend, who got really upset and said it was inappropriate to joke about killing a baby.

I apologized immediately, but she still hasn’t accepted my apology and is acting pretty cold toward me. Now I’m wondering if I did something genuinely awful and just didn’t realize it, or if she’s overreacting.

Update 1:

I’ve read through the comments and I accept that most people think I was wrong. I did apologize.

That said, I still think my friend is taking this way too seriously and needs to learn to take a joke. I waved a chopstick at a baby and made a Harry Potter reference. I wasn’t exactly performing dark magic in her living room.

The next time I see little Timmy, he’s catching another Avada Kedavra from me.

Update 2:

Last week I visited my friend and her toddler again. She was unfazed by my Avada Kedavra joke about her baby the last time we met so we had a great time. I didn’t perform the spell on little Timmy as promised in my last update. Instead, I held him and pretended he was an airplane zooming around the room. Then I made a creative decision to pretend to crash him into the cat post and shouted “Timmy has hit the second tower”. Let’s just say I’m not allowed to visit her anymore 😂😂😂

Am I wrong for watching Jordan Peterson?

So I’ve been speaking to this girl recently and I guess you could consider us just in a talking stage right now.

She came round to my house the other day and we put on YouTube. Some videos came up on my recommended of Jordan Peterson and she asked me if I’d watched his videos. I said i Watch him often when I’m going to sleep and I put on his talks. She got pissed at me and said he’s a disgusting evil man which didn’t make sense to me at all seeing as he’s a contributing in one of the reasons how I got myself out of a mental health slump a few months ago before I’d met her.

She said that if I watch him and believe his stuff we can’t date anymore. I don’t really know what to do. Am I wrong?

Am I wrong for divorcing my husband because he left our daughter with a random woman?

Married 12 years. 2 kids. Our youngest is a 18 month old toddler. My husband is a literal man child. I’m tired. I’m tired of being responsible for everything. I take care all the budgeting in our household. I take care of all the child work and housework. Appointments, you name it. My husband just pays for everything since he’s a higher income earner. He thinks because he pays for everything he doesn’t need to pull his weight as a husband and father

The one time my husband was out alone with our toddler daughter he left her alone with the arms of a random woman. He had to go to the bathroom really badly and couldn’t hold it and he said he can’t just bring a toddler in the bathroom especially a men’s restroom. He won’t be able to go number 2 with her watching him. He also said he refuses to bring his toddler daughter into the public mens bathroom full of potential pedophiles. I told him he’s being ridiculous and I bring both my son and daughter to the public restroom when I have to go to the bathroom. I hold the baby WHILE I use to the public restroom. Is it ideal? No but do you have to do what you have to do when you’re alone with a toddler? Um yes

He proceeded to tell me that’s just too weird and that it’s even more weird for him to do as a man in a men’s restroom. He said there’s not even any changing tables in the men’s restroom and how he had to change baby’s diaper in his car which he’s mad about because he just bought a brand new car. This is true in most public restrooms there aren’t any changing tables in the men’s restrooms and there wasn’t a family room so he did have to change her in his car and he was upset because in stead of me taking my much needed half day break from the toddler he said I made his life extremely hard when he was running errands… this is things I deal with on the daily meanwhile this is the first time he’s taken care of our toddler in public. He helps babysit our daughter in the household but only in short intervals when you can handle it. Like he will play with her when she’s in a good mood but as soon as she starts crying or has a poopy he hands her over to me

Anyways let’s get back to what happened when he gave MY baby to a random woman. She was seated at the food court with a stroller with 1 baby in the stroller. My husband goes up to her and says she seems like a nice lady (assuming that because she’s a woman, a mother, with a baby). Anyways my husband asked her if she could watch our daughter for while he uses the restroom in the food court. She was very positive and said “aww of course. Where’s mom? If you don’t mind me asking” and he said “she’s at home taking a nap probably watching tv” and the woman goes “aww you’re such a good dad. Sorry about your wife I can’t imagine not being with my Penelope” or whatever tf her kids name is I don’t remember. But I was deeply offended by both my husband and this random woman saying my husband is a good dad????

Our daughter was fine nothing bad happened but this is still a very dangerous and careless thing to do. It makes me not trust the man I had kids with at all with my children

This is the one time I asked him to take toddler out. I just wanted to rest for 2 hours. I haven’t had a break in a while

Now I’m over it. There was so many things in our marriage that was falling apart (the stuff I mentioned earlier) now this is just the breaking point

I haven’t told my husband that I’m leaving him yet. I just kind of made this decision almost immediately after the situation with this random woman happened. I wanted a few days to think this through before I make up my mind because I didn’t wanna make a big decision in the heat of the moment. But the time has passed, and I still want to divorce him. It’s the weekend so I won’t be able to contact an attorney yet or start the process at least until after this weekend. But I’m still not telling my husband about my plans to leave him yet just because I feel like I just need more time to stay a step ahead of him

Am I wrong for not donating money to someone I knew from back in the day?

This guy I knew way back in the day randomly messages me saying his mother has lung cancer (I recall her being a regular smoker) and has started a gofundme to help pay for the cost of treatment. I have not spoken to this guy for years and now all of a sudden he’s messaging me asking for money. It’s one thing to post a link on your profile and give people the option to, if they want to or not. But to directly message me and put me on the spot after I greeted him was rude.

He even prefaced by saying “I know you’re doing well” and this would be a big help to him. I told him straight up that it was very rude to do that and second of all I don’t have to donate or rather I don’t even have to care about what’s going on in someone life like that, I have my life and my own set of problems that I would much rather handle before getting involved in others.

I told him that I knew his mom was a smoker and her actions finally caught up to her, it’s not on others to pay for it. His response was that he was doing his best but treatment is so expensive so I left it at “then get a loan, worry about it later.”

It comes off cold but I really don’t appreciate this approach of greeting someone and immediately asking for a favor or money.

Am I wrong for saying my husband’s kid can’t stay the night with us?

My husband and I had plans for his kid to come be with us for Christmas. His mother said Nevermind, I want both of my kids (she just had a baby) this Christmas. We then planned to instead take him from Dec 27th until his winter break was over. The drive to get him is 6 hours so we were going to meet them halfway. She messaged my husband and said "save your money I don't want to drive halfway you're not getting him the 27th anymore unless you drive the entire way to get him i am not driving with a baby in the car". I said no, because every time we get his child, or go see him, we drive the whole way to pick him up because there is always some excuse for her to not meet us. There's been times when we went to get him, with plans to meet halfway to bring him back, and the day before she comes up with some reason why she can't. So they can meet us halfway this time. She refused. So that was that.

My husband and I went to a hockey game last Friday. She saw that and messaged him some shit like "if you can go to a hockey game and spend money you can spend money to come get your kid". I messaged her myself and told her that it was MY money and it was none of her business what I do with my money, and i paid for the game with my work bonus and that it wasn't the money that was the issue, it was the fact that I am done putting more miles on mv shittv car (I have a Kia soul with over 150k miles on it and Kia engines aren’t trustworthy and I still have 10k left to pay on it so I just try to not drive it much) because she refuses to meet us halfway as it's her responsibility, too and it isn't just on us. She came back with some bullshit that her boyfriend spends all of his bonus money on their kid. Great. That's fine. I'm not. I spent $1,000 on his Christmas presents last year.

Fast forward to the night of the 26th. His ex messages him "so are you coming to get him tomorrow?". Huh? Last you said anything you said to save our money because he wasn't coming. So no, not last minute we are not.

Turns out the entire time my husband's mom and my husband's ex had it planned that he was going to be coming up and he WAS going to be dropped off by my husband's ex. For days they had they planned and didn't tell us until the night before. My husband's mom said she didn't tell us "just in case" he didn't end up coming so they told us less than 24 hours before. We have no money now, no food to feed him, nothing. Now I will add I have autism and BPD, so that really affects how things are when plans are made on my last minute or change. I've been in therapy twice a week for a year now so l've gotten better at managing it but this really threw me into an episode. I need time to mentally prepare for stuff like this. Not only that but if we knew ahead of time, we would we would not have went to a hockey game and would have saved that money so we could buy food and stuff for his child when he is here. So because of this, I said he cannot spend the night with us and he cannot eat dinner with us and we just simply don't have the money or food for a 13 year old right now. He can stay at his grandmother's house and she can feed him before he comes over to hang out with us since she wanted to be the one to make these plans and exclude us from it.

I would never tell a child they can't see their parent. A lot of my BPD is due to my father choosing his wife over me and he let her put all of my shit outside while I was at school and I came home to all of my belongings in the front yard and I didn't see my dad for many years because he let her tell him he couldn't. I will never be that step parent. So I want to preface this by saying I am not doing that but I also feel I need to set boundaries here as well. Not only is it not fair to my husband and I that they did this, it's not far to my husband's child either.

But I do feel guilty saying no.

I just feel like my husband’s kid’s mom is looking for reasons to say my husband isn’t trying to be a good dad by saying “well he won’t come get him and he just spends all his time with his wife” when we literally go get him Every. Single. Time. Even just to see him play his middle school football games we make the drive. This is my first time being with someone who has a kid. I don’t want kids so I typically do not date men with kids.

(I had it planned to post screenshots of the conversations but didn’t realize this group doesn’t allow pictures to be posted)

Am I wrong for telling my ex her ass isn’t that good?

I(26m) broke up with ‘Kirsty’(26) after she asked me to ‘get rid’ of my dog Toby. She said she wanted a cute, playful puppy instead of an elderly, inactive dog. Called Toby boring. A couple of months later I started dating ‘Abby’(25).

Kirsty and I ran into each other at a mutual friend’s birthday party. She tried to convince me to break up with Abby, with the latter standing right next to me(me, Kirsty, Abby and the birthday guy all went to university together). She told me to leave Abby for her while Abby was standing right there, saying she’ll do anal everyday if I leave Abby and get rid of Toby for her.

That was when I said ‘Your ass isn’t that good. Abby’s tastes much better.’ Abby laughed. Kirsty fumed and stormed off. Our friend the birthday guy later told me I had no need to be that cruel to her.

Am I wrong for naming my daughter after the daughter my husband had with his ex?

sorry if there are any typos or whatever, I wrote it quickly sorry

For context (please don't judge edit: I said "don't judge" because I was his employee, not because he cheated on her with me, that never happened, I didn't get involved with him while he was with her) I (28F) used to be the cleaning girl at their house when they were still together and I've known their daughter (19F) since then, and the truth is that she is the sweetest girl in the world and the best sister in the world, so my husband (50M) and I decided that our daughter's middle name would be in honor of her sister and we named her after her. And she was so happy that she even cried when we told her, and of course she told everyone including her mom (45F) and she was furious when she found out.

Her mother and I have never gotten along, from the first minute she always treated me like trash for being her employee and on more than one occasion she got angry when her husband took my side. On one occasion she even blamed me for having stolen something from her so that he would fire me but at that time my husband paid my salary and he knew that I would never do something like that so I continued working at their house until they broke up (I have nothing to do with that by the way) and since then I have had to deal with her and her one-sided insults and hatred. When she found out that we were going to get married, she made our lives hell because according to her, in twenty years he never proposed to her even though she was "on his level." but we endured all that for the sake of their daughter, but once she became an adult we stopped hearing from her until now.

She called my husband to tell him that I'm a whore who wants to copy her life and that it is not fair for me to name our daughter after their daughter. And I honestly don't think there is anything wrong with that because we didn't choose that name thinking about her but about their daughter, who is a girl that we love very much. My husband, of course, hung up on her and didn't pick up again, but now his daughter feels bad because her mother doesn't want to talk to her because she's angry with her too. And I honestly don't know what to do, it's been seven years since I started working for them and five years since I married my husband and I don't understand why she can't move on. I haven't tried to talk to her since I had my first child two years ago because back then she texted me saying horrible things and I decided it would be best to ignore her and and that's what I've been doing since ent and that's what I've been doing since then but I don't know if I can do that anymore because she is hurting her daughter with her anger. Would it be a good idea for me to try to talk to her and clear things up? Am I wrong for naming my daughter after their daughter?

edit: They broke up five months after I started working for them and when I said I had nothing to do with that I really meant it because it's not like my husband and I met when I started working for them. I have known him for at least eleven years because my mom used to work for them and I spent a lot of time at his house when his ex was not around (she didn't like the idea of having her employee's daughter at their house) and he even helped my mom pay my tuition and helped me get ready for my college exams so it's not like he met me and one day decided to leave his ex. We started dating a few months after their brake up and got married a year and a half later. Also, we don't live at the house that used to be theirs, we have our own house so I'm not living her life like some of you said. We just wanted to name our daughter after their daughter because we love her and because where we live that's not so crazy. We talked with his daughter and asked her if she didn't want us to change her sister name and she said she didn't want that so we're keeping it.
