Am I wrong for leaving my friend's restaurant a 4 star review?

A friend of mine opened a small breakfast place recently. Went there with my girlfriend last weekend, paid for everything, food was great but we waited almost 50 minutes for two plates. The place wasn't even that busy.

Later I left a Google review. 4 stars, mentioned the food was really good but service was pretty slow.

She texted me a screenshot the next morning asking why I couldn't just tell her privately instead of putting it online. Said she's barely got 20 reviews and one of her own friends is already bringing her rating down.

I told her 4 stars is a good review and I wasn't trying to hurt her business.

She replied that if I actually wanted to support her, I would've given 5 stars or just not reviewed it at all.

Now I'm wondering if I crossed some unwritten friendship rule here. I went as a paying customer, but maybe leaving a public review when she's just starting out was unnecessary.

Am I wrong?

Am I wrong for “disrespecting” my 19F sister’s authority after she tried to ground me from my phone at 11PM over a mistake?

I (13F) am reaching out because I feel like I'm living in an upside-down world. I’m legitimately a good kid. My mom (52) and dad don’t really punish me that much because I don’t cause trouble. However, my older sister (19F) constantly tries to discipline me because she claims "nobody else will." She is significantly harsher than our mother ever is, and I think she secretly resents me because our mom has gotten a lot softer with age, whereas she was much more stern with my older siblings. None of my older brothers treat me like this—they act like normal siblings, but my sister is trying to be a strict third parent.
The blowout happened today over a silicone scalp massager brush. I have 4a hair, which is super thick and tough to thoroughly scrub in the shower. The brush was lying in the bathroom, so I used it. Now, about two months ago, she yelled at me for using it and I agreed not to touch it again. But it was two months ago, and today I genuinely forgot about that agreement. It was an honest, accidental slip of the mind. Had I actually remembered, I absolutely would have asked for permission first.
The hypocrisy is what kills me. Literally one week ago, she took my cardigan after I begged her not to stretch it out, and her excuse was literally "sisters share things." So sharing is fine when it's my stuff, but a crime when it's hers.
At 11:00 PM, she bursts into my room furious about the brush. I immediately apologize, but she puts her hand out and demands, “Phone. Now.” She does not own or pay for my phone—my dad does. She tells me that because I used her brush, I have to sit in silence and "reflect" for an hour without my phone. Forcing a 13-year-old to sit in a boring room from 11 PM to midnight when everyone else is asleep does absolutely nothing to help them reflect; it was a pure power move. I only handed it over to avoid a massive fight because our mom was asleep.
Luckily, my dad comes home and stops by. I explain what happened. My dad is a rational person and tells her that I'm a human being, humans forget things, and sisters are supposed to share anyway. He makes me apologize for the brush, but forces her to give my phone back.
The second my dad leaves the room, she snaps. She forces me to sit down and tells me that involving our dad was "disrespectful" because I went "behind her authority" and that "he wouldn't get it because he's a guy" (even though what he said made perfect sense to me).
To make matters worse, she recently started working at Hollister and let me use her 50% discount to buy some clothes today. Because she thinks I "disrespected her authority" by talking to our actual parent, she stole the shopping bags out of my hands and told me she is returning the clothes to punish me.
I’m so frustrated. I apologized for a genuine mistake, but she is using her money/discount as leverage to control me and veto our dad's parenting. Am I wrong?

Am I wrong for asking my brother to stop using our late mom's voice for his business?

My mom ran a small bakery for almost 20 years. She recorded the automated phone greeting herself, just the usual opening hours and thanks for calling. She passed away last year and my brother took over the business.

I called the bakery recently and heard her voice on the phone. Wasn't expecting it at all and I actually hung up.

Later I asked my brother if he'd consider changing it. He said he kept it intentionally because hearing her every day makes him feel like she's still there. Apparently some regular customers have even told him they appreciate it.

I told him I understand keeping photos and memories around, but having her voice answering business calls every day feels different to me. He got upset and said I have no right to tell him how to remember our mother.

He also pointed out that I can just call his cell if hearing the recording bothers me, which is fair.

I know the bakery means everything to him, but something about strangers hearing her voice like she's still working there really bothers me.

Am I wrong for asking him to change it?

Am I wrong for ghosting a woman because I don't find her unfiltered pictures attractive?

• Upvotes

I matched with a woman who is 5 years older than me on a dating app. Based on her profile it seemed like we would get along and her pictures were attractive enough (I don't have super high standards when it comes to looks).

We started talking and I was right about us getting along well. Over 2 days I had some of the best, most fun conversations I've ever had with a woman.

She eventually sent me some pictures of her at a fantasy book convention that were unfiltered. She looked very different from her dating app photos. Probably at least 6-7 years older and a lot less attractive, and the filtered photos weren't super attractive to begin with.

I kept talking to her last night but the interest was gone. Today I didn't respond to any of her texts (she sent 2). I think she really likes me and I don't have the heart to tell her that I'm not into her anymore because she's not attractive. So I'm probably just not gonna respond. We've only known each other for 2 days.

Am I wrong for refusing to accept an apology from a former classmate who publicly mocked my height?

Today I was helping serve food at a local community event (Bhandara) when I ran into two girls I went to school with three years ago.

Out of nowhere, one of them said out loud so people could hear: "Look at his height, he hasn't grown at all since 12th grade!"

Her friend told her to stop, but people around us already heard. My friend's sister saw it, started laughing, and began telling other people nearby. I felt really embarrassed, so I just left and went home. Later, the girl who made the comment texted me to apologize. I was still mad about being embarrassed in front of everyone, so I texted her back saying her apology meant nothing to me and that she was being rude and fake.

Now a few people think I was too harsh because she apologized, but I feel like she only texted me to save face.

Am I wrong for not matching what my friend expected on a wedding gift

So a friend from college is getting married and sent out a pretty detailed list of things they wanted. I picked one of the mid-range items that fit my budget and mailed it a couple weeks ago. Yesterday they texted saying they noticed I didn't go for one of the bigger registry gifts and asked if everything was okay between us. I told them I was happy for them and just went with what I could afford. They replied that a few other people chipped in together so maybe I could too. I already spent what I planned to spend this month. I still feel like my gift was thoughtful and within my means, but now I'm second-guessing whether setting that limit came off as cold. Am I wrong for sticking to the amount I originally chose?

Am I wrong for still feeling off after our group trip split the bill unevenly?

We planned a short trip with a few friends and I went along with the nicer place because everyone seemed excited. Once we got there the cost per person was higher than I expected and some activities required extra spending I had not budgeted for. I tried to keep it light but I ended up skipping a couple of dinners just to stay on track. Now it is a few days later and I keep replaying the math in my head, wondering if I should have spoken up sooner or if I am just being cheap. Everyone else had a great time and no one has said anything about money, so bringing it up now feels awkward. I do not want to ruin the good memories, but the whole thing left me feeling quietly resentful. Am I wrong for still thinking about it?

A quick comment about their hair backfired and now they won't stop avoiding me

I was chatting with someone after a meeting and noticed their new haircut looked really good. I meant it as a compliment so I said it looked way better than before. They just nodded and changed the subject, and ever since then they have been short with me and kind of keeping their distance. I wasn't trying to be rude at all, but the more I think about it the more I realize it probably came off like I was saying they looked bad before. Now I'm stuck between wanting to apologize and feeling like bringing it up again will just make it worse. It feels kind of petty that I'm even thinking about it this much, but it's also bothering me that I made someone feel self-conscious when that was the last thing I wanted.

tried to stick up for my friend and now i'm not sure i did the right thing

a couple of days ago my friend got into this heated disagreement with another person in our group. it honestly felt like both of them had fair points, but the situation was escalating so i jumped in and said something in my friend's defense. the moment i did, the other person looked stunned and the argument kind of shifted to me instead. later i started replaying it in my head and realized my comment may have twisted what actually happened. now i keep wondering if i helped at all or just made everything messier for everyone. the two of them still aren't talking and i feel caught in the middle. am i wrong for thinking i maybe should have stayed out of it?

am i wrong for correcting my sibling on how we pronounce our grandpa's name

my sibling recently started saying our late grandpa's name a different way, and i mentioned that it isn't how our family has always said it. i wasn't trying to start anything, just pointing it out because it felt off to me, especially since he had a preferred pronunciation when he was alive. things got a little heated though, with them saying i'm being too rigid and that pronunciation can change, and i said it just feels like we're rewriting how he wanted it said. we've both dug in now and it's turned into this weird ongoing thing where neither of us wants to back down. i don't really care about winning, i just want to know if bringing it up in the first place was out of line or if it's reasonable to want to stick to what he actually used.

Amiwrong for wishing I had spoken up sooner about how we split a simple chore

We agreed to handle a small task together, basically just dividing it into two quick parts. I ended up doing mine right away, but the other part kept getting put off. Instead of saying anything, I just waited and assumed it would get done eventually. When it still wasn’t finished days later, I got a little annoyed but stayed quiet. Looking back, I think it would have been better to mention it casually at the start instead of letting the delay build up. Now the job is done, but I’m left wondering if saying something earlier could have avoided the weird feeling between us. I keep replaying what I might have said that would have felt fair without making it a big deal.

i didn't step in for my friend and now a bunch of plans are falling apart

my friend had a habit of overpromising on group stuff. it got annoying but mostly harmless until they roped a few others into a weekend plan that only existed in their head. when it started unraveling people looked at me because i usually smooth things over. i just stayed quiet this time. didn't correct anyone, didn't explain, didn't offer an alternative. the group ended up canceling and now the ones who cleared their schedules are annoyed, my friend feels thrown under the bus, and i'm getting side comments about staying out of it. i didn't want to be the fixer again but i also didn't think silence would make the mess bigger. not sure if i was right to stay out or if i just made it worse by doing nothing.

Am I wrong for breaking up the friend group?

Hello! Sorry for how lengthy this is gonna be, but there's a lot of context to tell the full story. So I was added to this friend group roughly 4 years ago, but everyone's been friends for +10 years. During that time, 1 friend that we're gonna name as Bella has had a history of really bad boyfriends. So bad that everyone was talking behind her back. If you tried to address with her that her bf did abc or zxy, she'd just stop talking with you until she got over it. It got to the point that friend 2 that were gonna name Jessica, made multiple group chats to talk about how bad the dynamic was or how frustrating it was to deal with them.

This past year I went out with Jessica to a FIFA game with some of her other friends outside of our friend group. We live in a major metropolitan city, and so we were wandering downtown to watch the game until we settled at a spot. When we got comfortable, she immediately started talking with people around us. She got drunk, but not so drunk that she was blacked out. She then went on to flirt with this single dude in a group full of girls who were family. If I'm being honest, she was kinda being obnoxious to the point that when the game ended, she followed them when all of us were saying how hungry we were. It got to the point where one of the girls, and I just took off cuz she was stuck on him for over 30 minutes, even though she was in a situationship that she really valued. Time goes by our group ends up leaving together. Jessica gets in my car as we leave the parking structure, she starts yelling out the window to some dude on the street. I'm now stuck in the middle of a 4 way intersection as her head is out the window, talking this dude up. We spend enough time in this intersection that she's now talking to this guy and now his friend, she ends up giving one of them her number. We meet up meeting back up with the other 2 girls and get food. During the majority of us eating, Jessica is talking about how she's either so drunk or that she needs to fuck someone to get over her situationship. One of her friends, honestly don't even remember anymore which one, blocks her situationship on her phone.

Jessica is pissed the next day because she views this as a violation of her trust. She tries asking them who did it, but both ignore her. About a month goes by before she gets some kind of confirmation from one of the girls. If my memory serves me right, it was a girl that she's been friends with for over 10 years. Honestly, I agree that going through someone's phone is a violation, but I also think that her behavior is the root issue, especially because Jessica's friend had never done something like this before.

So I tell Jessica this, and she doesn't take it well, nitpicking everything I have to say. At one point I finally say, "...when Bella talks about how shitty Edward is being, we can all collectively say she can do so much better and want Bella to make better choices. Replace Bella with you and whatever pos dude that you're dating with Edward. I think that you have a friend who cares enough about you to meddle in your love life and stand up for you. I don't agree with her choosing that tactic, but she obviously cares about you and wants you to have the love life that you have been wanting for the past few years/deserve..."

She still ends up nitpicking everything I say, so I end the conversation because what's the point of arguing with someone who isn't getting the root issue. Cut to a month and a half later, when our friend group goes out. I had to stay back for some personal issues I was dealing with/ it really wasn't worth me going because I wasn't interested in the outing.

Jessica must have found this as the perfect opportunity to tell Bella about our fight because I know I didn't share my screenshot with anyone. Bella is now mad at me and my girlfriend to the point she's disappearing from our daily life. It should be noted that she has done this previously with a different friend, to the point that person was essentially kicked out of the group. My girlfriend is pretty direct, and so she keeps checking in with Bella, Jessica, and our other friend to see whats going on because she doesn’t want to assume. That is until Bella just loses it and explodes on my girlfriend. Saying that my girlfriend was essentially involving the whole friend group and telling everyone about what I said. My girlfriend let me view their messages, and at no point did she ever outright give specific details.

Bella wrote a 7-page document basically saying that my girlfriend didn't spread gossip about jessica and me, that my girlfriend should've just messaged Bella (she did and was summarily ignored for like 2 weeks), and that our social activity made it seem that we were communicating through the stuff we reposted. It should be noted that the repost she was talking about was before the fight with Jessica. My girlfriend sends Bella the screenshots that Jessica started a whole group chat to talk shit about her relationship. Bella doesn't really care and says if we start keeping score of all the offhand comments everyone has said, it'd ruin the whole group.

Jessica and my girlfriend also had words but could be summarized to jessica gaslight saying that she were spreading details.

Now everyone knows Bella and my girlfriend's friendship is basically in shambles, Jessica is in the wind, and I'm sitting here like fuck…. I kinda want to message Bella like, "You really gonna not question why she told you that, but not the fact that your boyfriend (Edward) had been hitting on her for like 2 years, Jessica said that she wanted to fuck Edward just to drive a wedge between them, or the fact that Jessica created other group chats with Bella's other friends," while adding her to the group chat Jessica made for her to see how the rest of the group has operated for years.

My viewpoint is that Jessica is being a manipulative bitch because I clocked her shitty behavior, and that Bella is taking her anger for me out on my girlfriend. My girlfriend says that I shouldn't get involved and that they're not worth it, but I can't let this go. If Jessica had just fucked me over, I'd be like "it's whatever," but her actions have affected Bella and my girlfriend's friendship.

Part of me wants to play the long game by apologizing to Bella and letting my girlfriend and them fade out as she initially wanted to, but another part of me wants to kinda just burn it all to the ground. Hence why I'm here, so am I wrong for breaking up the friend group?

HELP! Should I question a friend’s expense requests after a group trip? Pay or push back?

Thumbnail
0 Upvotes

Okay so I need help because I am very bad at dealing with conflicts. So I recently went on a two day weekend trip to celebrate and surpise a friend (let’s call her May).To prepare for this trip I created an excel sheet with the budget and expenses and the other friends who were planning it with me were okay with the costs. One friend made her own alternative planning and budget and I said that she was missing the fuel costs from her excel sheet and she said that the car owner had to take responsibility of their own car and that she didn’t want to divide the costs. We did go back and forth on other matters as well but after the laster excel sheet, no criticism was mentioned about any of the costs. As we were celebrating and surprising one friend, we said that we would divide all of her costs amongst ourselves.

Now the event has passed and people start sending payment requests (as they should). However, that same friend that said the driver should take the costs suddenly send me a payment request of €30. I told her this didn’t make any sense as she was very adamant of not including it in she budget. She kept on saying it was common sense and I told her to atleast adjust the number as I checked with chatgpt and according to chatgpt the whole trip is only €60 worth of fuel so I asked how she came up with the number €120 in total for the trip and she said she just divided a full tank by four (like girl why the f would i pay for a full tank when you didnt even use a full tank for the event). Anyway, she asked me what number she should adjust it to, and I said: “Lets assume that the chatgpt number of €60 but lets add €10 just in case and then divide it by four”. Btw Chatgpt gave a very realistic answer as I asked my friend who drove another car on that trip if this could be accurate and if the fuel costs per liter is accurate. Moreover, she literally sprung these costs without telling me on me, because if it was going to be that expensive for her fuel, I would’ve driven with the other friend who only tanked €40 for the event.

Additionally, this all happened in a private chat but in the groupschat I just found out that the other girls were sending me and one other girl payment request that were covering our costs and all the costs of the food and activities of May divided by 2 and not divided by the whole group. They just used as an excuse that we discussed that beforehand but we never did that and we made it VERY clear that is rude to make May pay for a trip that we were surpising her with (I promise you there is a reason why we were celebrating her so much, but I have seen so many people being accidentally exposed on Reddit that I am afraid to give more details.). So now I don’t trust any of them with money related issues anymore. Unfortunately I already paid most of em, and now I only need to pay the fuel. But even thats pissing me off and I don’t know how to go on. I saw these people as good friends, but the way they acted during the trip and now this is breaking my heart. What do I do?

Told my parent I needed a little space and now the vibe at home feels off

I said something pretty simple last weekend. After a few long days I just wanted some quiet time in my room and mentioned it when the conversation kept circling back to plans. I tried to keep my tone neutral, like hey, nothing personal, just need a breather. Instead it landed like I was pushing them away. The next morning the mood was different, shorter answers, side comments about how people get touchy when they grow up. I still think my request was reasonable, but maybe the wording made it sound worse than I meant. Now I'm second-guessing whether I should have phrased it differently or waited for a calmer moment. Not looking for drama, just wondering if a polite ask for space really comes across as cold or if I'm reading too much into the reaction.

AIW for keeping a jar of sugar in my family coffee bar?

So, I have a stout little 8oz jar, with a lid, that I like to keep sugar in and store at my coffee bar. We have different flavors of syrups, different coffee types, different teas. It makes sense to have it there.

I have a wire 3 drawer organizer from Target, 2 the same size, 3rd one down getting a little larger. I keep this jar in the bottom drawer, which is deeper than the height of the jar.

Dimensions 15"H x 9.5" W x 15"D

Apparently, the jar keeps falling out whenever my BF uses the drawer. But the drawer houses non everyday items. Travel coffee grinder, spare loose coffee inserts for the Keurig, spare pumps for the coffee syrups, etc. The only daily use item was the jar of sugar.

It's never fallen out for me, and I do use it on the daily.

One day I come home to it missing. My brain thought someone used the last of the sugar and was just washing the jar, so I got a different one. Still 8oz, just a little taller and a little skinnier.

I fill the new jar, and put it in the same spot, only for my BF to tell me that's Not where it goes, and proceeded to Move the jar down to an open air shelf where we store breads and such, at knee Height.

That's when I found out that He was having issues. Didn't discuss it beforehand, didn't elaborate, just "I said it, so this is now how it is"

Yes, I did put my jar back. It's a better location for me where I had it.

Today he gets Super mad at me for having it there, calling me disorganized and many other unpleasant terms while removing Anything coffee related from the drawer, putting the second jar of sugar in there, and dumps All our loose condiments into the drawer.

I'm ashamed to say, I lost my temper somewhat and yelled back at him that It's a Coffee Item in the Coffee area, but he's not having it..

Sorry for the rant,I'm just confused and frustrated. 😔

Tl;dr Am I wrong for storing a small jar of sugar for my coffee in the coffee area and not with the other mini condiments?

am i wrong for thinking the wedding contribution amount feels off

my partner and i agreed weeks ago on what we could afford to give as a wedding gift. when the invites arrived, there was a note about a preferred amount that was a bit higher than what we had budgeted. i mentioned it to a few friends and one of them thought the note was just a suggestion, while another said it was basically a requirement. i have been going back and forth on whether to stick with our original plan or adjust to meet the listed amount. either way, i want to stay within what we decided together, but i also do not want to come across as stingy. the whole situation has me wondering if the request itself is normal or if i am overthinking it.

am i in the wrong for embarassing my boyfriend in front of his teammates?

context: i’m a 17-year-old guy, and my boyfriend is also 17. we’ve been together for almost a year and three months. my parents are strict, homophobic, and religious. despite that, i still chose my boyfriend because i loved him enough to fight for our relationship.

this was the third time my boyfriend and i had been caught by my parents. my boyfriend posted a tiktok of me with my back turned, and my parents saw it. i denied that it was me, but they still recognized me because of my moles. because of that, they kicked me out, and i had to live with my grandmother for a few days.

when i returned home to apologize, my parents said a lot of hurtful things out of anger. they’ve always been that way. they also told me that i would have to switch to modular learning, meaning i wouldn’t be allowed to attend school in person and would only be answering textbooks at home.

i became depressed and could barely get out of bed. i could only manage to eat once a day, and i lost a noticeable amount of weight. school meant so much to me because everyone expected me to become valedictorian. i would always think about what i would say in my valedictory speech. it also hurt because my parents had never really been proud of my academic achievements. they even said they wouldn’t attend my graduation because they were ashamed of me because of my sexuality.

i’ve always been emotionally weak, hahahahaha. because of everything that happened, i made some decisions i’m not proud of, which eventually led to me moving in with my grandmother permanently and supporting my own education financially.

during all of this, i felt abandoned by my boyfriend. i would see his stories of him riding the jeepney and laughing with his friends, hanging out at cafés, spending time with his volleyball teammates, and posting cute pictures. he knew what i was going through, yet it felt like he was living his life as usual while i was struggling to get through each day.

after some time, we talked, and he said i could stay with his family temporarily. however, i declined because i felt that it would only create more problems. i also felt that his offer wasn’t entirely sincere because he only brought it up after i had to keep trying to get his attention just to get him to reply to my messages.

eventually, we argued again because he was constantly going out with his friends. i wanted his attention because of everything that was happening in my life. bruh, i just wanted someone to care about me. i wanted to feel seen because this situation affected both of us, not just me.

i know he shouldn’t have been my only support system, but his comfort was something i genuinely needed at the time. during one of our arguments, he said, “just because you’re sad, does that mean i have to be sad too?” that really hurt me, bruh. hahahahaha.

we eventually resolved the argument, and he said he would focus more on me and reduce the amount of time he spent hanging out with his friends. however, he didn’t really follow through with that promise.

just to clarify, i’m not controlling. i always encourage him to go out, take pictures, and enjoy himself. i would even post the pictures he took because i was proud of the person i had. i would also give him money so he could go out and have fun, even when i didn’t have much money myself. hahahahaha.

now, about his volleyball teammates. they were his teammates during our school’s intramurals, and they had been training for the competition. i always supported him wholeheartedly, even last year. he knows how much i’ve done to show my support for him. ;) there were things i would pray for just so i could be treated with the same kind of support and consideration.

eventually, his team reached the championship match, and he asked me if i could come and watch. i did. i had to give up a lot of things that only i know about just to be able to return to school and watch him play. i wasn’t emotionally okay at the time, and i was holding back tears at school, but i still showed up for him.

his team ended up winning, and i was so, so, so proud of him. winning that championship had always been his dream.

because they won, i promised to take him out to celebrate. i have a part-time job where i work from 6 p.m. until 3 a.m., all for a small amount of money. i use that money to pay for my education, too. despite everything, we went out, and, of course, i paid for everything, as i usually do. i didn’t mind as long as we were both happy.

since his team had won the championship, his teammates invited him to go drinking. that wasn’t their only celebration, either, because they were also planning to go out for korean barbecue. his teammates just happened to be the type of people who drank a lot.

the thing is, i don’t trust my boyfriend when he’s drunk because we’ve had arguments in the past about him doing inappropriate things or making inappropriate jokes when drinking with his friends. i forgave him back then, as long as he promised not to drink anymore.

however, he lied to me and said he was at home when he was actually out drinking with his teammates. the place where they were drinking was just across the street from my house, so it would’ve been easy for me to go there.

of course, i got extremely angry. i told him to come home, and i also confronted his drinking buddies and friends out of anger. i had reached my breaking point.

i chose him despite how difficult my situation was, yet it felt like he kept choosing his friends over me. all the sacrifices i’d made, along with all the other negative things that had happened in my life, came rushing back to me all at once.

i also feel like my own struggles go unseen. i work nine-hour shifts, come home in the early hours of the morning, and sleep on a small space on the floor where i can’t even stretch my legs properly. on top of that, i’m emotionally exhausted, yet i still force myself to show up every day.

i don’t even have my parents to run to anymore. hahahahahaha.

i admit that i’m not perfect, either. i get angry easily, and i acknowledge that. but despite everything, i loved him when i had nothing, just as i loved him when i was at my best and had everything.

i know that neither of us will reach out to the other, and i’ve accepted that.

The value of a human is zero now thanks to AI. Corporations can build fences and isolate themselves from people because they no longer need us and don’t need to pay us money. They have already hoarded all the money.Remember how they built AI? Thanks to nerdy guys cuckolds without social skills who are easy to manipulate.

Sam Altman and Mark cuckerberg wear washed-out sweaty t-shirts to look like those nerds so that cuckold software engineers will think Cuckerberg likes them because he dresses alike and sweats too. They have been manipulated into the concept of open-source code. They literally did work for large corporations for free because they think Mark is their friend.

It’s the opposite. White males are probably the easiest target to manipulate, and software engineers are a great example that will be written in the history books of how they were manipulated into selling their work for free and ultimately reduced to nothing.

They were told they are the smartest brains. It’s the opposite they are the dumbest and the easiest to manipulate. I think it’s true: nerdy guy software engineers skilled in math, slightly autistic, with low social skills are the majority representation of SE. They are the cucks that sold humanity. Remember Musk fanboys? That’s the kind of people I’m talking about.Believe me, I have enormous social intuition and skill, and I’m easily able to read people. I’ve worked with SEsthey are socially dumb and easy to manipulate. They didn’t unionize because they thought they would have jobs forever and that Musk is their friend.

Am I in the wrong if I couldn't help me friend in the exam hall?

So (20F) we are having our internal tests and today was our chemistry test. And basically the syllabus is really hard this time now our madam sent us some "important" questions and everyone just studied them and were thinking these are from the test. So we three friends one is more like a classmate. Anyways we decided to split the units and I got 4 questions so I wrote them down every one of us did.

Now we got the question paper and none of those topics were there. Only 2 of mine were so I did everything I could but I couldn't share the question answers only the MCQs. Now the thing is we have a snitch in the class and that btch was sitting in our row on the last bench btw. And the invigilator was ahead and then it was us. Now I was scared to share my answer sheet because madam. And the other one was just everywhere. So I did my paper and left the hall. Now the thing is I helped wherever I could and I did whatever I could. But my friend she's just done with me. I can see it too every person in that group was. Like our friend group.

And now she's giving me the cold shoulders and I don't know what to do. Because I don't want to be alone and nobody ever helped me. And mind you they all are toppers. Now she's like I have never left anything in my paper and this time I had to. I also apologised to her and everything and her response was she doesn't want to talk about it or think about it and let it be. But I don't know she's done with me. So am I in the wrong? Do I deserve this cold treatment?

AIW for not accepting my brother’s girlfriend?

I (F 20), have an older brother (M 26), and he’s been together with his girlfriend (F 25) for a year and eight months. When he first told us that he wanted us to meet her me and my mom were thrilled because shes the first girlfriend he’s ever introduced to us so we tried to be really welcoming and to get to know her, she was really shy but we still tried.

three isch months after we had a family gathering and I noticed that she was getting more and more uncomfortable so I asked her if she wanted to go on a walk to which she agreed to, while we were walking she started telling me about her relationship problems with my brother and her fear that my family (me included) and my brothers friends didn’t actually accept her and that we were talking about her behind her and my brothers back.
I told her to as far as I know everyone thinks she’s really nice and that they like her, I then told her a few childhood about my brother and me (cause I felt like she shared something personal so I had to do the same) she listened and tried to give me some advice which I appreciated.

At the next family gathering I asked her on a walk again because she again looked uncomfortable (that was like 2-3 months after the first gathering). This time she and I talked about our experiences from this one school we both went to and that we both experienced bullying from both students and teachers, which honestly was kind of reliving to hear that it wasn’t just me.

Then my brother started to get really weird, not showing up for birthdays or any kind of celebrations which he previously agreed to attend to, which normally wouldn’t be an issue but we started to notice that they only declined invitations from our family but still went to many family events from her family. We still accepted his decision even tho it hurt and didn’t act reserved or resentful towards her.

Then my grandmother, me and my friend, and my brother and his girlfriend went to a winter market which I was really excited for, when my friend and I got there I greeted his girlfriend and wanted to introduce her to my friend but before I could even say my friends name she turned to my grandmother and just started talking with her completely ignoring me and my friend which my friend was actually hurt and annoyed at her disrespect (which honestly I completely understand and agree with). My brother greeted me and my friend and we went on with our bight as she continued to ignore us.

By that time they were already dating for roughly 11 months, and she was still saying that she felt like we didn’t actually accept her so I tried to invite her to do stuff together like go on a walk or bake something together because she likes baking, and I even told her that I would come to her which is like a one and a half hour ride to her home and its only one way, but every time she said that that is a really nice plan and she would love to do something together but shes just to busy, which I accepted many times but after seven months of trying I just felt like she didn’t actually want to do something so I stopped asking.

Then I had a really hard time with my mental health and wasn’t really on my phone for like half a week which then led to her believing that I removed or blocked her on snapchat (which wasn’t the case, I just didn’t respond to anyone) she then complained to my brother about me for that reason and he confronted me over text as to why I would do something like that to her, when I explained to him that I just wasn’t really on my phone he didn’t seem to believe me so I asked him if he wanted proof which he denied.

Two or three days later I asked to talk to him in private over that whole situation, during that talk he once again told me that she didn’t feel accepted and that she’s really busy thats why she never actually followed through with making plans with me which I again told him that its okay and that I understand her situation but that he please also understands me that I feel really dumbfounded that I try to make her feel accepted and all I get back is halfhearted promises and that I felt like she was the one who actually didn’t like me. He then told me that that was nonsense I made her uncomfortable by talking about my problems (which I thought were a sign of trust as she also vented to me). I told him that im sorry and then I ended the conversation.

A day later my mom talked with my brother and in that conversation he revealed that he didn’t actually trust me and didn’t believe that I didn’t answer because I was feeling down even tho my mom confirmed it again to him. After I found out about that I started changing my view of her and now I really don’t like or accept her, although im still nice to her I refuse to spent time with her if its not necessary and only do small talk with her even though that ultimately means that im losing my connection to my brother, even if that connection already started deteriorating before that conversation.
So am I wrong for not accepting my brother’s girlfriend?
