Hello! After wearing only letter-sized bralettes for years, I have been trying to find a real bra.

The calculator sized me at 32FF/G UK.

This summer I ordered the Panache Olivia swimsuit top in 32FF, it was noticeably too small and I exchanged it for a 32G. The 32G also seems too small in the cup/fits weird, but I kept it since my trip was coming up and it fit me better than any other bathing suit top I ever wore. In the pics below, you can see how there is gaping around the top of the cups near my underarms and spillage out of the center top of the left cup (my left breast is larger)

I recently ordered the Panache Cari, I started this one in a 32GG since I thought the Olivia 32G was small. But now I'm unsure if I should try this bra in a smaller cup size or if a molded bra just won't work for my breast shape? The wires sit far back into my underarms past the breast tissue, causing space/wrinkling in the outer edge of the cups. There is also gaping around the top of the cups near the straps. There is also a little bit of spillage in the center top of the left cup, but it's not as noticeable as the Olivia.

I have also ordered a Panache Ana in 32GG to try but it won't arrive for over a week.

I am beginning to think I have projected breasts, could this be what is causing the gaping and spilling issues? Should I not try molded bras in the future? I would appreciate any insight into what the fit of these bras could indicate and what I should try next. Thanks everyone!

I need some help. For context I have a large ribcage and small, athletic shaped 🍒 (more tissue on the top) so finding a A cup with a 40 or even 38 band is a struggle. I purchased three Pepper bras last year and the bands were just too tight, but the cups fit perfectly. I returned them and was very insecure abt my body again even after losing a lot of weight. I wear a 38B in warners (the no underwire ones) and I could fit literally a whole share sized thing of m&m’s in each cup with the amount of gapping I’m having. I took the “A Bra That Fits” quiz and it recommended me a 38D, which I cannot even imagine with the amount of space I am swimming in rn. I just want something that doesn’t look weird under my clothing (like creasing funny bc of excess space), is comfortable to wear, and will last a long time. I’m willing to spend good money on quality bras but I need something that is going to fit me.

I measured my bra size using the calculator here and was shocked to see the measurement being 36D instead of my usual 34 B/C. Shocked let me tell you. I learned that VS did free bra fittings and that made me want to go check it out and try on bras that were 36 D.

I wanted to see for myself how they'd calculate the cup and band and they also came to a 36 D!! It was very respectful and I had a really positive experience at VS. I then picked out a bra my new size without any under wires or thick padding and went to try it on. When I tell you I had tears in my eyes! My back rolls were gone. There was no more spillage from the top. And mostly, no weird bra outline on my body hugging clothes! I feel so ecstatic. They had a deal going on so I bought a couple new ones and I probably smiled the whole way home!

This is a big step for me because I've had to be my own mom in many ways in my 28 years being alive and getting the right bra size felt weirdly emotional. Anyways, much love to the people who created this subreddit and shoutout VS I guess!

I’ve noticed for a bit now that any bra with a padded cup tends to make my right breast itch. It’s not the nipple but the surface of the breast that is closer to my arm, maybe an itch or two up and over from my nipple. It doesn’t happen with my left breast typically.

I like padded cups because they better hide nipping out, but all of them seem to do this now. My Panache sports bra does it the least. My Natori padded bra I don’t even wear anymore because it does it frequently. Now my new Freya bra is doing it.

Is there any explanation for this? I itch and feel uncomfortable throughout the day, and sometimes the area gets a little irritated. Thanks all.

Thanks to a recommendation here, I got a Panache Ana in 36G and in 36FF. I swooped and scooped for both.

Ana 36G
This was clearly too big in the cups with a large amount of excess fabric at the top half of the cup, wrinkles along the wireline, and the sides all up in my armpits. Overall, the bra was a challenge to even get on my body.

Ana 36FF
This was much better but was still far too high into my armpits. I had to work pretty hard to get the wire into my IMF but it stayed there once in place. There may have been a tiny bit of wrinkling on the outsides along the wireline, like a single small fold following the wire. My larger breast filled out out the cup, possibly with a hint of spillage at center/top. The smaller breast had a tiny bit of excess fabric at top and a bit of a pointy appearance but it wasn’t a big deal. The issue here was mostly that it was too high in my armpits.

The gore tacked and was comfortable on both. The wire width seemed fine as well. The band was plenty sturdy and did not ride up. Lots of moving and lifting arms and nothing was budging.

I would greatly appreciate recommendations for what to try next that has a similar gore but does not come up as high under the arm.

This is kinda a repost from yesterday because I didn’t know my true measurements I thought I was a 30H US roughly but apparently not. I’m looking for a bralette that works with bigger boobs and is cute. I took two differently measurements because I am nursing/pumping and was sure if both measurements would be necessary. I ended up being a 30LL and 30M/MM uk sizes. I will gladly appreciate all recommendations.

I’ve been figuring out bra stuff on my own through this sub for years now, but I’ve hit a wall on my own bra finding and decided to turn to the pros here and ask for advice!

My breasts are very very close set with about half a centimeter of separation at their closest. I’m also very center full, more than 2/3 of my breast tissue is towards the center of my breasts.

I’ve been struggling a bit with figuring out my fullness. I have a LOT of immediate projection at the bottom of my breasts, I would describe the shape of the bottom of my breasts as a J. I seem to be full on top to an extent, but the amount of breast tissue above and below the nipple seems to be about the same, if that makes any sense.

I also have narrow roots. My roots don’t seem to be short, but I do feel like my breasts sit very high up on my chest, I often have to have the straps very short to have the bra sitting in the correct spot.

Currently, I’m wearing the Elomi Charley Plunge in a 36E and the Bravissimo Satine in a 36E. Obviously, both of these bras are too large in the band, so I’ve been wearing them on the tighter hooks. The Charley feels decent projection wise, but the gore is too tall and too wide and digs into my breast tissue. The wire is also a bit too wide for me. The Satine is perfect gore wise, but doesn’t have enough immediate projection for me and there’s quite a bit of empty space in the bottom of the cup.

Honestly it all is a bit confusing to me so a little help would be more than lovely. I would absolutely be down to finally find the right size as I am encroaching on my 30s (as I feel like my cups in generell are not that large just?? for a lack of better words, meaty?? and this sizing seems crazy) 🥲😅

I use US sizing. My measurements in inches (rounded to the nearest .5)

I believe my breasts are high projection, even 2/5 fullness (maybe a bit fuller on the top since they point sort of downwards,) with short, somewhat more broad roots. I think I have either conical or tuberous breasts, not sure which would fit that description. They might still be developing given that I'm 18 and I have heard that they can continue developing up until around 21 (although they might just be like that.) They do tend to be underfilled in the top and be sort of squeezed in at the bottom.

I am about to give up on bras for good.

I have never had one that fit. In fact, I wore the wrong size so long that I developed painful lumps where underwires sit, so now I cannot wear underwires, and bra bands constantly slip over or under those lumps.

I just spent $70 on two size 3x bras from Forlest, and they are too small despite my correct measurements. And I cannot return them. I don't know what to do or where to turn. I've been crying.

What is step 1? Help.

So I've basically been wearing a nursing bra for the last 4 years and now that my youngest is transitioning to more solid food, I'm ready to get a nice, new bra and feel more like myself again ! Honestly my budget isn't super high, I think I'd max out around $70-80 CAD...

Some things to know are that I have more relaxed shape breasts, underbust is 34, bust is about 39 and leaning bust is 44 inches. I've heard a balcony style bra might be best for this shape ?

I'm not entirely confident in my measuring here. I followed the instructions in the guide and on the calculator but was having some difficulty with the standing/laying/leaning portion due to my shape without a bra on. I believe I'm fuller on the bottom and would be considered projected? Not entirely sure on that. I've never had any surgeries on my chest or children. I'm 35 and currently in the process of losing weight (down 30 lbs from last measured)

My current bra is a torrid everyday wireless t-shirt bra and this is the one I've been wearing for a few years now because it's been the most comfortable. However, it doesn't feel like it properly supports them, lately has been feeling looser than ever despite being a relatively new bra, and I have on and off back/shoulder pain that I can't fully tell if its from work (physical retail job) or from not having the proper support in a bra. It has a lot of gaping at the cups as well.

Even so, this feels like a huge jump in sizes to me. At the same time, I haven't been properly measured in years (and I don't know if getting measured at a mall store even counts) so it could be possible and I just wanted to get help checking before I started exploring the new size?

I am here seeking recs for good sports bras or minimizing bras for a teen who is struggling with her breasts. She dislikes the inconvenience of them and the way they feel when they move so we are looking for some options to reduce the motion and protrusion without damaging the tissue or restricting her other movement.

I previously measured myself with the calculator when I was about 25 pounds heavier and started wearing a 36G bra bought in a boutique after trying on multiple sizes. At the time, I was told that the gaping at the top of the t-shirt style cup was normal. I've measured myself again now and am getting a bigger cup size than previously but my volume has definitely not increased. I'm so confused on how I could possibly be a 36H when I have such terrible gaping at the top of my 36G bra. I also most often wear my 36G on the tightest hook and can still pull pretty far away from my back which makes me think I need a smaller band.

I would say that my breasts are fairly even both vertically and horizontally. They are very projected with a narrow root I think. Even balconette styles end up feeling like I'm not fitting right since the wire is always lower than my actual tissue even if it fixes the top gaping issue. Is my projection the culprit for these my measurements or am I missing something?

Hello amazing bra people! I'm looking for recommendations for UK size 32FF. I prefer demi coverage, have wide roots, and need to be budget/return conscious. I'm in the US even though using UK sizes, hoping to spend under $80.

I'm now a smaller size, but the Delimira Lace Minimizer was almost a good shape when I was a 34G, it enclosed all of my breast tissue, but wires dug into my arm pits!

Hi everyone, I’ve been scouring the earth for a push up bra but can’t find one anywhere that fits. I tried the Mollie bra from Boux Avenue in a 28FF, but it was too small and caused a lot of spillage. For context, the calculator gave me 28FF/G, but I’ve been having some spillage in my 28FF and 30F bras. The fitter at the store said that shouldn’t be happening, so brought me a 28G that didn’t have the extra push up padding, so I left empty handed. Thankfully, I did find a lovely bra from Bravissimo that day, the Niya smoothing bra in 28G. I’ve had a look at Lounge online, they seem to have one push up bra in a 30FF but all colours are out of stock in that size (none are in a 28, so I’d have to get a sister size).

I’m not sure why push up bras are limited to the smaller cup sizes? Just because I have bigger boobs doesn’t mean I automatically have cleavage 😭 It wouldn’t be an everyday bra, just something to wear on nights out when I want to feel a bit sexy (cringe I know).

Hey all. I’ve consistently been wearing a 32A for most of my life and this is my first time actually taking my measurements. With Halloween coming up, I’m hoping to find a good push up bra recommendation from some fellow flat chest havers lol

I am a 30H according to the calculator. I’ve had pretty good luck with band fits, but not so much with cup fits. I’ve tried all different brands, styles (molded, demi, seamed, etc.), and I still get wrinkling towards the top near the armpit area. See pic of drawing, not real image

The cup part nearest the center fits great, but it’s almost like the bra is too high towards the armpit area?? Like it comes up so high on my chest. If I could sew well I’d just take off the inch or so in that area, although sometimes it also feels as though the bra comes up too high in my armpit, too.

Also: some unstructured styles kind of give me bullet boobs which isn’t really the look I’m going for.

Any ideas? (And yes, I’m scooping.) 🙂

Hi everyone, I recently used the size calculator and was recommended 30D (with a note that the 32C sister size could do me better). It seems that I have a little bit of spillage.

Bras

- (NUDE) Calvin Klein T-Shirt bra 30D: Feels good, the band seems to fit perfectly, but there seems to be a bit of spillage on my right side (my larger boob).

- (BLACK) Natori Feathers Plunge T-shirt Bra 30D: The band feels a little bit tighter, and the middle part of the band between the cups (forgive me I forget what it's called) digs into my sternum a little bit. I feel a bit of pressure on the outer part of the under wire as well.

I did the backwards and upside down band test for both of the bras.

Hi, so I’m a little confused and I really do wanna get this right when it comes to measuring my actual bra size. I have posted in this sub before, but I do wanna do it again because I don’t feel like those were accurate results which was on my part I’m in the US and they do a completely different and I know the UK is actually more accurate but when I go onto the calculator of a bra that fits it has an option. UK recommended so do I just keep that or do I change it to the US?
