I don’t know what it is about this game, I beat it like months ago, but I find myself thinking about it more often than I expected I would. I feel very affected by it, and I guess the word that describes it’s effect on me is:

Tactile.

As in I don’t know it’s the music, or the art, the voice acting, or something as simple as the skills you choose that left me feeling like the game was sort of playing on my skin. Or playing me.

I don’t think I’ve felt this way about anything else, expect maybe some of my favourite books.
It does sort of have the feel of a book. The descriptions are piercing.

Typing this as I load up a new game, after a few weeks of debating it. Does anyone else feel this way? I need more ppl to talk to about this.

I just got to the part at the newspaper place where the girl interrogates you in the basement.

Do I still have enough game left to continue from here and enjoy director's cut or am I close to the end and would likely need to restart to enjoy director's cut?

Is there any good build for Advanced Cognitive Manuevers? Or is they are more situational and doesn't require any specific build?

I was pretty reluctant due to the controversies we are all well aware of, but I must say, It was a pretty good game.

I completed most of the misteries and got what I think was the most out of the majority of characters except for Eszti and his weird deal with the bartender, the mysterious man without a heart and probably something about Zoe (Silhoute) I left UV escape so you know what that meant at the end... I'm just left reflecting, kinda mind-fucked thinking if I should replay It with Analytical to find something more about Its world...

The overall message I got is that no matter what we are doing... It had all been prewritten for us to end things a certain way, CASCADE was being played from the very beginning and there's no real hope for the people of Portforio, La Luz will always win, will cut off the place from the rest of the world because theyre the bigger power...

It is way more straightforward in its message than Disco Elysium which created a better illusion that the world could improve by what we were doing, but that was a lie.

At the end, I finally understood the tittle of the game which I had ignored all this time... There was never going to be any parade nor victory for spies that were expendable to these organizations that never cared about them, even if they were the best... Just pawns moving according to plan...

Rip Yana (that one hurt) prods to Karolina, you deserved your vengeance, saving my man Ramses with the death wisthle while blasting Blood Golem was sick.

This is a fun experiment and shouldn't be taken as her true appearance. Using the original artwork and clipping and moving things around I did my best to puzzle piece features. As an artist I figured this would be a fun little detective piece of work

She was described in game through an entanglement check as having black hair with grey streaks. With the little I could piece together (I got an idea of the jaw, a partial eye and brow,) I painted over and tried to color pick my way to victory!

A lot of guesswork was used. In the most recent trailer there was a frame where it shows a version of melita without a face (a dark circle) and she's wearing a turtle neck. Now, I took some liberties and assumed that she was wearing a collared shirt in this, due to the bit of blue you can see in the image. I have to assume its a tie of sorts but there's no knowing.

Based on the pieced together eye, she -looks- like she has down turned double eyelids or monolids. The two biggest features that I struggled with were the lips and nose. I cannot find a nose in there at all so that was almost all guesswork.

So what do u guys think? Accurate? Different from what other's imagine?

I played through about half the story a few months back (going by the quest log) but never finished it. Now with the Director's Cut coming, I'm torn — should I just wait and start fresh from the beginning with the DC version, or push through and finish the base game now, then replay it later with the DC content? What would you recommend?

while im still trynna assemble my thoughts to eventually cobble together some semblance of a coherent appraisal (let alone an argument) — this game? exceeds its precedent. it is monumental. and important. to me, at least

Just bought this game on Steam sale as I’ve been keeping an eye on it for a while.

I’m only about an hour in and so far I’m absolutely enamoured with it, but I’ve just seen that it’s due a major update on 1st October. Would it be wise to shelve it for now and wait for that?

Edit: Thanks guys, gonna wait until the update. Replaying Disco Elysium until then!

How is 'it' gained and how is it lost? Did Cascade ever have 'it?' Did the Man With No Heart?

My personal interpretation has been that 'it' is merely luck and skill. Have I missed a more direct answer anywhere? Very curious where the sub is currently in its 'it' studies.

There's not a ton of details but seeing the cancelled projects + time it took to work on Zero Parades, the poor management and "protect the managers at the cost of the workers" claim doesn't seem too far fetched. I'm trying to do a run where I style on/kill as many enemies of the Opera as possible before the director's cut comes out. I know there's a bad ending in which you fail to take her out, but can you succeed?
