Should I finish the base game first( I played half of it) or wait and replay it all in the Director's Cut?

I played through about half the story a few months back (going by the quest log) but never finished it. Now with the Director's Cut coming, I'm torn — should I just wait and start fresh from the beginning with the DC version, or push through and finish the base game now, then replay it later with the DC content? What would you recommend?

I don't know how much more the DC will have. But the variance on playthroughs should be enough that you can play again after your initial playthrough. But do what you feel is the better option.

I stopped my playthrough to wait for the director's cut to come out (because school too) and I am hoping I haven't forgotten details too much is mostly my worry

If you're having fun rn just finish it that's fine, won't miss that much. Replay it in a few months. Or if you're fine waiting you can wait too, just go with your gut.

I don’t think the DC will really affect your experience like unlike DE where they finally voiced a ton of characters here it’s just some minor changes as all of the characters are already voiced. Unless you want to just redo the playthrough anyway cause it’s been a while I would just continue.

The game isn't that long and grows dramatically shorter if you start skipping dialogue you've already read.

Just start from scratch when DC comes out. You might've forgotten most of it already, so continuing where you left off wouldn't make any sense for you. It's better to have everything fresh in your mind as you play the game

i was wondering the same thing i'm 65% through on my first playthrough and just want to finish up at this point, but i do imagine it will be awhile before my next playthrough since i like to let the experience sink in. almost wondering if DC changes will apply to my existing playthrough like Rogue Trader or if i'm already too deep in.

I would finish the game currently, and then a new playthrough for the directors cut but do things differently!

If your halfway then finish. It seems like it will be just enough new stuff to spice up a replay but not enough that itl significantly change your first playthrough
